II THE BEGINNINGThe seed of Woodlands was sown with the East India Clinic Ltd being formed in 1943.It used to run a small nursing home near Chowringhee in erstwhile Calcutta.Woodlands came into the picture a little later when Dr B C Roy laid the foundationstone of Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital on January 8, 1958. In August 1959, thehospital commenced providing comprehensive healthcare from its current address.
