Seller Insight “As well as the beautiful setting, it was the size of the property that initially attracted us to Woodall House,” says Stephanie.

“It’s almost Tardis like, as it’s only when you get inside that you can appreciate just how spacious it is. For us it has been the ideal family home.”

One enters this beautiful home into a large and welcoming reception hall, from which each of the generously proportioned living areas flow. “The layout of the house is really nice,” continues Stephanie. “It’s easy flowing, so ideal for busy family life.”

“We have a gorgeous conservatory which opens out onto a large decked area,” says Stephanie, “so during the summer there’s a really nice connection between inside and out. We have space for a large table and BBQ, so it’s great for entertaining, and the rest of the garden is predominantly laid to lawn, which has given the children a lovely big space to enjoy; it also means it’s easy to maintain which gives us more time to enjoy it.” “Harthill, which is just a stroll away, is a beautiful village with a bakery, a butcher and very nice pub,” says Stephanie. “We also have the reservoir and the boating lakes close by, so there’s loads to do outdoors, and within fifteen minutes I can be in Crystal Peaks, which has an amazing array of shops; here we have the best of both worlds.”

“My husband is a farmer,” says Stephanie, “and here we have the most beautiful farmhouse, but sadly not the land. If we could pick it up and take it with us, we wouldn’t hesitate because it has been such a happy home for us all.”

The kitchen and dining area is definitely the heart of the home. On one side we have the actual kitchen with a

huge island, and on the other we have a big dining table that can seat up to eight. Everything goes on in there, and the fact that it opens into a cosy snug means that the children can be watching TV while I’m preparing a meal, but I can keep a close eye on them.

Woodall House Page.indd 9 23/06/2016 13:10

Page 12: Woodall House

The house is arranged over three floors, and on the very top we have two bedrooms and a bathroom. It’s a great part of the house for older children to have their own space, but it would also be ideal for guests.

Woodall House Page.indd 10 23/06/2016 13:11

Page 13: Woodall House

The majority of the rooms have lovely high ceilings and big windows, so it’s wonderfully light and bright. There are also some beautiful period features dotted throughout the house –

most of the rooms have big open fires – and they combine to give it real character and charm, which we love.
