Motivate Ms. Shalonda Palmer and the National Council of Negro Women – East Pensacola District provided a Thanksgiving meal to Favor House (shelter for women and their children from domestic violence). An extension of love was shared to the ladies offering them hope and encouragement to remain motivated in the midst of their current circumstances. Mrs. LaShay Scott and the Youth assisted those in need with a clothing drive. Matthews 25:36 Naked,

and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.

Collaborate Mrs. Cynthia Evans and the YAMS coordinated the Florida Conference Team for the Kidney Walk on Pensacola Beach. Participants raised $500.00 for cause. Mrs. Constance Carter and the Buds Department chaired the Florida Conference’s 9th annual year of supporting the American Cancer Society. She attends meetings required by the organization for being a team leader. Here in the Florida Conference breast cancer has affected many of our personal families

and church family members. For nine years we have collaborated and made strides for the support our survivors in the Florida Conference.

Unify With the happiness of our district officers, secretary, and our treasurer, we have participated in a study session reviewing and learning about each department. We have joined together on many conference calls for the study, fellowship and business at hand.

Reclaim We are growing and unifying. Our district’s Executive Board is committed to win others to Christ. However, we know that we have to constantly renew our minds and remain prayed up on a daily basis. Team During the conference year, we experience a shift in the atmosphere with our district officers. Through the process, Mrs. Cynthia Evans became the YAMS Coordinator, Mrs. LaShay Scott joined the sisterhood as the Youth Secretary, Ms. Shalonda Palmer became the Supply Secretary, and Mrs. Deborah Johnson became the Life Members Chairman. Mrs. Deborah Johnson and the Life Members Department will participate in the Life Members Stole Ceremony at the 146th Session of the Florida Annual Conference.

July 2015 - WHOMS 28th Quadrennial Convention, Orlando, FL The East Pensacola‘s District Officers and youth delegate, Daley Johnson represented the district well. A thank you is extended to Mrs. Cheryl Reeves for serving as the alternate delegate in the seat for District President. She worked diligently with several fundraisers to assist with convention expenses. Personal Stewardship Serving God, the AME Zion Church, the Florida Conference, the East Pensacola District, and Houser Memorial A.M.E. Zion Church, makes me resonate with great spiritual excitement in my heart. My dedicated service continues as:

I will always be grateful for His grace and mercy of finding favor to elevate me. Thank you to the Episcopal leaders Bishop and Mrs. Dennis V. Proctor, former Presiding Elder Floyd A. Walker, current Presiding Elder Anthony R. Scott, the pastors and the membership of the East Pensacola District, the WHOMS District Officers, my church family and my personal family for the continued diligent support. I thank God for giving Bishop and Mrs. Proctor the insight to allow me the privilege to serve as

the Coordinator for the YAMS of the East Pensacola District Missionary Society. I would be

remiss if I didn’t take the time to thank you all for your prayers, encouraging words, and

understanding during the transition of our beloved daughter, Ca’Meshia Lambert. This year’s

journey has been a test of my faith but, with God’s help I have pressed on and “still, I rise”;

thus, it gives me great humility and joy that I submit the following report as an account of my

stewardship to the Florida Conference as the District Officer for the Young Adult Missionary

Society this conference year.

Special thanks…... to my husband, Reverend Michael J. Evans and our daughter, Makeda Evans

for their support on this journey during this past year as I have work with the YAMS. To my

church family, my sisters of the East and West Pensacola Districts Missionary Society of the

Florida, Conference you have been a joy to work with over the past year. I would like to

particularly thank our Missionary Supervisor, who has been extremely encouraging and

supportive this year, because of your love and support I stand stronger and I am forever

grateful.

It is my prayer that you all will be blessed beyond measure and God will grant you the desires of

your heart.

In conclusion, I would like to continue working with the Young Adults so that we can build a

stronger YAMS in the Florida Conference.

I am thankful to God for giving me this opportunity to give my first report as Secretary of

Youth for the East Pensacola District. I have been blessed to serve in this position this year and

fulfilled the Mission of being a District Officer by attending both District and Conference

meetings. We donated can goods to Favor House and assisted those in need with a clothing drive.

I supported our annual “Tots in White" Program and assisted with the Thanksgiving Banquet.

During the month of January, we observed Victoria Richardson by having a 70's and 80's

Fashion Show. It was inspiring and well attended. God blessed me to attend the 28th

Quadrennial WHOMS Convention in Orlando, Florida. What a soul stirring, heart lifting

experience it was.

I am grateful to be one of the sisters of the WHOMS of the East District. Under the

leadership of my Presiding Elder, Reverend Anthony R. Scott, President, Mrs. Jacqueline R.

Pinkard, and my missionary sisters, I thank you for your guidance through this year. I look

forward to continue the work individually and collectively as we grow as a group we will always

continue to love and help one another on this Christian Journey. I do praise my Lord and Savior,

Jesus Christ, for I am thankful to Him being the head of my life. I give all the praises to God for

He is worthy to be praised.

Breast Cancer Walk October 2014

2014-15 Conference Year:

Our year begin with our annual Breast Cancer Walk. Florida conference stepped into action joining the American

Cancer Society to end breast cancer one step at a time. Each year the Florida Conference walks for survivors in our

Conference. We have over 20 survivors. We were blessed to have several pastors participate: Rev. E. Knight, Rev.

D. Easley, and Rev. Michael J Evans and three first ladies, Barbara Knight, Cynthia Evans and Georgia Philpot,

buds, youth, and adults help Celebrate Survivors of the Florida Conference.

Homemade baked goodies for the Christmas baskets delivered to sick and shut- in. Easter baskets for Favor House and our very own sick and shut-in. Service;

Annual Program- January-2015

We celebrated our annual observance of Marie L. Clinton Day with “Buds on Parade.” This was a joint program

with the West District. Our children displayed many talents which included songs, poetry and dance. This year’s

program was amazing, in that, each child displayed so much inspiration and joy in serving God. Jayln Smith from

Greater Little Zion AME Zion Church served as the speaker for this program.

This conference year the Buds were on the move. Most efforts and engagements for the Episcopal, Conference,

District and Local levels were supported. Endeavors included several meetings held at LOMAX , Christian

Education Regional Meeting and the 50th Celebration of the Bridge Crossing Jubilee both in Selma, AL. and the

WHOMS 28th Quadrennial held in Orlando FL. Thee Florida Conference was blessed to have four BUDS in

attendance. They included: Anaya Scott, Isiah Chapel: Jazmyn Bishop, Escambia Chapel; Tashaj Stallworth and

Irionna Stallworth, Houser Memorial AME Zion Church. I would like to thank Rev. D. Machelle Easley for assisting

with the BUDS and serving as a chaperone.

I have supported all departments within the society. I serve as the local Missionary President

and we have been just as busy. It is my desire to continue working to assist the missionaries’

ministry in every way that I can while I can. Meanwhile, giving God all the praises and staying

connected to him for he is the source so that I may not die spiritually. This has been a busy

year to say the least but we are forever grateful for the GREAT things he has done.

Thank you to my Missionary Sisters, it has been a joy to work with you this past year. Special shout out to my District President, Jacqueline Rose Pinkard. You, without a doubt possess all the attributes of a spiritual leader. You have taught us and we have learned! You are truly appreciated and we are grateful to have you. (take a bow). Thank you to my church family for your support. Thank You Presiding Elder Anthony Scott for jumping in and supporting the missionaries over the past year. I received this appointment at the 145th Session of the Florida Annual Conference and it has

been an experience filled with expectations of what would happen next. My plan is to dive in

more now that things have slowed down at my home front. I am an only child that happens to

be the caregiver of my Mother who is 87 and has been hospitalized four times this year followed

by Rehabilitation for three weeks each time. On many occasions, I thought of given up and

thought “Why Me” but was reminded “Why Not”. GOD has given me the strength I needed.

My missionary sisters have had my support at some level with every project. I attended two

mass meetings and have attended seven district officers meeting.

I participated in many local events including “The Breast Cancer Walk”, The Junior Diabetics

Association, and delivered supplies to the Favor House. I attended my first WH&OMS

Quadrennial Convention as a delegate in Orlando, Florida, July 25-31, and enjoyed the

experience of Zion at its best.

Lastly, I would like to remember my sisters in Zion but, mostly by buddy Juletha N. French, who

transitioned in January 2015. She set the example of what throwing out the life line means.

Home and Overseas Missionary Society of the West Pensacola District!

Overview of the Past Four Years: “Maximizing our Purpose: Continuing our Journey

Through Mission Education, Christian Living and Mission Ministry”

Throughout the past Quadrennium, our society continued to strive to make a difference in the

lives of those who say, “There is no hope”. We continued our participation in the Annual Breast

Cancer Walk, also supporting this cause through financial donations. Sis. Monique Turner,

YAMS Coordinator and her local departments worked tirelessly with the HIV/AIDS Awareness

Ministry. Their workshops were informative and their fundraisers assisted many in the

HIV/AIDS communities. Mrs. Rosemary Clarke, Secretary of Y’s and Mrs. Rose Pettiway,

Superintendent of Buds worked cohesively teaching our young children about our great Zion and

the love of Almighty God. The Florida Conference has been blessed to have these very talented

and gifted young children, who shared their talents and gifts throughout Zion. With Mrs. Barbara

Knight, Secretary of Supply, there was never a moment that she didn’t have a great idea. Her

work with Manna Food Bank was extraordinary! “Each One, Make One” through the dedicated

efforts of the Life Members Chair, Ms. Jennifer Green the west district missionary society

continued to grow and be an intricate part of our church and community. The District Officers

experienced both educational and spiritual growth through travels to Lomax Hannon, Greenville,

AL., Camp Dorothy Walls, Black Mountain, N.C. and the Pentecost Explosion, Montgomery, Al.

Parent Body - Mrs. Georgia Philpot, President Annual Six Point Tea: An evening of excitement! Although the tea serves as a

fundraiser, it also serves as an opportunity to showcase some of Zion’s most

accomplished talents and provide an in depth view of the operations of the

WHOMS’ six departments.

World Hunger: In conjunction with the observance of World Hunger Day, Mrs.

Barbara Knight, Secretary of Supply and the local supply departments challenged

the west district to assist the local food bank by implementing a month long food

drive. The challenge involved weekly challenges, most notable, the weekly

sacrificial offering given by members of the west district. We were excited to report

that this challenge also garnered over 2,000 pounds of non-perishable food items

and over $500 dollars for Manna Food Bank.

The Janie Speaks Project: The WHOMS of the West Pensacola District wowed

the Florida Conference and the Pensacola community with a special fundraising

event to benefit the Janie Speaks AME Zion Mission Hospital in Afrancho, Ghana

and the Scholarship Fund for the 28th

Quadrennial Convention. The evening was

filled with superb food, super auctions and spectacular entertainment. In keeping

with the final component of the Quadrennial Theme, “Mission Ministry” one of

the entertainers, Poet, Jason Mounds penned a special piece, “Our Mission Speaks

Volume” which highlighted both the project of the late Mrs. Janie Speaks and her

efforts that benefitted the hospital. Because of generous donations and volunteer

hours the society was able to raise funds for the Janie Speaks Hospital and was able

to send a youth to the 28th Quadrennial Convention. We thank the Project’s Chair,

Mrs. Barbara Knight for a job well done.

following report for the 2014-2015 Conference Year. I thank God for giving me the opportunity to serve.

The YAMS Coordinators have lead by example this year. They have participated in several activities and programs.

YAMS participated in our local WH & OMS Six Point Tea, Janie Speaks Project, and WH & OMS 28th Quadrennial. I

truly felt blessed to be a part of the 28th Quadrennial. It was a blessing and I will never be the same. I have attended

monthly district officers’ meetings, training sessions and mass meetings. I also attended the Ministers Laity & Youth

Institute, Evangelism Convocation and Founders Day at Lomax-Hannon.

Founder’s Day - Observance on November 9, 2014 was a great success speaker Ms. J’Renee Coleman of Houser

Memorial subject “THUG” True Hero Under God Challenging us to step out of the 4 walls of the church

World Aids Day- This year the West Pensacola District did prayer and offerings for persons living with HIV/AIDs and

their families for the month of December.

Call to Prayer - We sponsored early Morning Prayer every other Saturday from 6am to 7am. We also had three early

Morning Prayer conference calls.

West and East District Project

Kidney Walk – YAMS on the East & West District came together collect funds & walked in Kidney walk that was held

on Pensacola Beach in honor of Rev. and Mrs. Cynthia Evans daughter Ca’Meshia Lambert

Community and Service Projects

Local involvement in the community is a must. We must go outside of the four walls within our church spreading the

“Good News”. The YAMS participated in bringing our community together with the “Big Cookout” sponsored by

Pensacola Community Arts and Recreation Association. It was a chance to have fun, minister and give away food.

We ministered at two different Nursing Homes. We also participated in the Breast Cancer Walk and the walk a mile

for your health sponsored by Supply. We went out witnessing and praying with people in the community letting

them know about a man name Jesus!! We participated in the Pentecost Prayer at Houser Memorial and the march

in Selma Alabama. YAMS continue to partner with “Save Our City Pensacola.”

Personal Involvements and Development

I hold positions as Local Preacher, Asst. Class Leader, President of the Women Ministry and the Evangelism team. I

am in my second year of course of studies at Lomax Hannon. I am a member of the Pensacola Dream Achievers,

Pensacola Community Arts and Recreation Association and I continue to be a part of local Gospel Stage Plays. I have

also written skits for the WH&OMS Society. God wants to take us to another level so we must be ready. Through my

sickness, trials and tribulations I believe God is up to something and I will continue to press to the higher calling. I will

continue through the Holy Spirit to seek God’s face as I walk this Journey. All I have been hearing the Lord say is

“Restoration”. He is getting ready to do a new thing in my life. I may not understand everything right now but I

know I must be like Job and keep the faith.

To Bishop Dennis V. Proctor and our Missionary Supervisor, Mrs. D. Diane Proctor we thank you both for all your

work and efforts. We will continue to pray that the Lord will use you both as He directs your path. I would like to

say a special thanks to Mrs. Georgia Philpot, West District President, for her wonderful encouragement and support.

I thank Mrs. Jacqueline R. Pinkard, East District President, and Mrs. Deborah Robinson for all of their calls and prayers

during my sickness. I also extend thanks to my Pastor, Rev. John L. Philpot, Sr. for his loving spirit and his great

training. To my husband Rev. Jesse Turner who has been by my side. To the East and West District Officers and

Presiding Elder Scott thank you. Lastly, I truly thank God for He is worthy to be PRAISED! To those that continue to

APPAREL, HAIR STYLES, FOOTWEAR, AND JEWELRY. ONLY TO FIND THAT THE “THEN” STYLES WERE ALSO THE “NOW” STYLES. A

SPECIAL APPEARANCE WAS MADE BY OUR FOUNDER MRS. VICTORIA RICHARDSON (A.K.A.- ADRIANNA PATTERSON) WHO READ

As the Superintendent of the Buds of Promise for the West Pensacola District, I submit the following report of my

labors and stewardship for the 2014-2015 Conference Year. With much preparation well underway for the 28th

Quadrennial Convention, my department remained focus on our “Ministry of Missions” in our District, Local Church

and Community.

Episcopal Programs and Events:

I attended and supported all Episcopal Events held at Lomax-Hannon Jr. College in Greenville, AL The information

received during these gatherings served to be insightful tools to assist our local church in growing and winning souls

for Christ. During the D. Diane Dynasty Celebration, I joined the Alabama/Florida Superintendents and BUDS in

serenading our ray of “Sunshine” our lovely Missionary Supervisor.

Conference and District Projects:

As a part of the West Pensacola District Executive Board, I have met all financial obligations. I supported all

Department Programs in the planning and execution. I disseminated pertinent information to our local churches on

upcoming Connectional, Conference and District projects and events. I attended all Mass Meetings and served as the

facilitator of our second workshop. Ms. Veronica Burnett, Life Coach, with Circles USA of Catholic Charities Northwest

Florida served as our speaker. Ms. Burnett presented the Circles approach of making “Thriving Families, Thriving

Communities” with an innovative community-driven way to solve poverty. This workshop touched the very realm of

putting our mission into ministry.

Stewardship as BUDS Superintendent:

As the Superintendent of BUDS, I observed all Annual Days by collaborating with Local Superintendents and the East

District Superintendent, Mrs. Constance Carter. The crowning moment for our department this year would be our

“BUDS on Parade” where our children showcased their talent through scripture, song, dance, poetry. Zion has a

bright future in the Florida Conference. I offer a loud shout-out to the West District for their support in assisting me

in securing over twenty renewals and/or new subscriptions to our “My Buddy Magazine.” We supported the Annual

“Baskets of Blessings” Project for a local Hospice Agency. Due to inclement weather, our BUDS were unable to plant

the beautiful wildflower garden for Reverend Betty Little for our Earth Day project, but we are happy to report that

the flowers found a deserving home.

With our local BUDS, we continue our monthly service project by visiting the Nursing Home Facility where we read

scripture and sing with the residents.

As a member of Greater Little Zion AME Zion Church, I serve on the Deaconess Board, Superintendent of Church

School and Church School Teacher, Church Clerk, President of the Ministers’ Spouses and Widows(ers) Fellowship

and I continue to facilitate quarterly workshops on Alzheimer Disease at Homestead Living Community Center. I

ended the year by collaborating with Escambia Chapel “Back to School Drive” where I donated school supplies.

This 2014-2015 Conference year, has been a true journey of Missions in Ministry for me and the Department of

BUDS. To answer the question relating to the BUDS numbers, I can say that during my tenure, I have watered

numerous BUDS and watched them “Bloom for Jesus,” for they have been promoted to the next level or moved to

the next phase of their lives as young adults. God has planted new BUDS and I look forward to seeing them watered

and “Bloom for Jesus” in the coming years.

As I conclude this year’s Annual Report, I rejoice in the Lord for His mercy and goodness. As we embrace our new

Quadrennial Theme: “The Great Commission – A Global Outreach: Personal Calling, Personal Transformation,

Personal Instruction and Personal Commitment” I find myself excited as I seek to witness to others God’s Personal

Calling” for me and the planned works to assist our BUDS to understand their “Personal Calling” for them. I offer a

special thank you to my Missionary Sister of the East and West District, my grandson, Jalen, and my wonderful

husband, Reverend Winfred Pettiway, Sr. For next t Christ, you made this year possible. I ask for your continued

prayers and support for our upcoming year of projects and events and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ.

As Secretary for the Bureau of Supply of the West Pensacola District, the year was a busy, yet fruitful. I submit the following report of my stewardship for the 2014-15 Conference Year. Stewardship: I remain committed to implementing programs and activities related to the purpose and mission of this department by promoting spiritual growth and development, soliciting assistance for the physical needs of those less fortunate and provide assistance that will encourage independence and self-sufficiency. Annual Manna Food Bank Food Drive, inclusive . . . An “out of the box” team spirited food drive 30 Day Meditation “Manna for the Soul” 4-Week Sacrificial Offering from the Local Churches for additional needed items This project enabled us to provide over 2,000 pounds of food and over $500 to our local Food.

Chaired the Janie Speaks project. This project benefited the Janie Speaks Hospital. The evening was filled with food, entertainment and a silent auction .

Stepping Into Health Walk Collaborated with Escambia County Health Department to raise awareness of childhood obesity and promote a healthier lifestyle.

Mass Meetings Attended all Mass Meetings and collaborated with the Life Members Chair as facilitator for the 3rd Lesson. Presented workshop on 5210, Let’s Go Escambia which address a healthy lifestyle for our children and families.

Episcopal/Conference/District Support Serve as the Florida Conference Secretary. I have supported our Episcopal District, Florida Conference and the West District spiritually and financially. This support is inclusive of traveling to Lomax-Hannon for the Convocations, Founder’s Day, Institutes, and the Episcopal Planning Meeting. I provide meals for the sick and shut in members the first Sunday of each month. I visit the sick and send cards to those that may be sick, bereaved or just need an encouraging word. As I conclude this annual report, I would like to lift up my husband, Reverend Elisha R. Knight, the road was a little rocky, but God saw us through. Thank you for all your love and support. To the Rt. Reverend Dennis V. Proctor, Presiding Prelate; to our Missionary Supervisor, Mrs. D. Diane Proctor; to our Connectional Officer, Mrs. Jacqueline R. Pinkard; Presiding Elder Emeritus, Rev. Dr. Clarence H. Little; Presiding Elders, Rev. John L. Philpot of the West Pensacola District and Host Pastor; Rev. Anthony R. Scott of the East Pensacola District; Pastors, Ministers, Conference and District Officers, Delegates, Members, and Friends of the 146th Session of the Florida Annual Conference. Greetings in the name of Our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! My mission is "The Great Commission - A Global Outreach: Personal Calling, Personal Transformation, Personal Instruction, and Personal Commitment." As District Chairman of Life Members of the West Pensacola District, I submit the following report:

Personal Involvement

It was my pleasure and I was obedient when I was asked by my Class Leader of Class #1, Mrs.

Deborah Robinson to speak to our class about the Life Members Stoles and "A Heart for Overseas

Missions." When our class gathering was over, how happy and excited I was when several members

decided they wanted to purchase and be stole during annual conference this year. My Pastor,

District President, myself as well as some of the other class members were very instrumental in

helping others to become Life Members. Class #1 was abled to purchased and donate 2 overseas

Life Member Stoles which means this investment provides a S30.00 Life Member Stole and 3 years

of dues for an overseas missionary. "Each one, was helping, to make one." This was awesome; in

fact, the whole day was awesome and rewarding. God is truly in the mist of this Life Members

Department. He is speaking to me when He continues to remind me in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know

the plans I have for you (Missionaries, Life Members, Jennifer), declares the Lord. Plans to prosper

you and not to harm you. Plans to give you hope and a future." I am still on cloud 9, since my

attendance at the 28th Quadrennial Convention. I ask for your continued prayers and support for

this Life Members Council.

Local Activities

I attend and support all of the functions and activities on the local level; it is especially an inspiration

to attend the "Buds and Youths" programs and activities; I attend our Local Parent Body gatherings

where I am enlightened and inspired to see the strength and dedication of our Local President, Mrs.

Pearl Curtis who continues to work and strive to build up, as well as, round up the missionaries for

the Parent Body Missionary Society.

Mass Meetings

During the conference year, I have attended the mass meetings, check-up meetings, and the West

Pensacola District Conference. During our 3rd Mass Meeting, the WH&OMS Life Members and

Supply Department presented a workshop on "Let's Go Escambia, Healthy Families know, 5 2 1 0"

(Eat 5 or more fruits and vegetables every day; Limit 2 hours or less of screen time every day; Play 1

hour or more of physical activity every day; Stop, 0 sugary drinks; more water and low fat milk).

District Projects

During October, I begin collecting our Life Members annual dues and taking up a collection for the

celebration and memory of our Founder, Anna L. Anderson; I participate, support and is active with

other departments and district programs. As a district officer, it is my pleasure and desire to attend

our monthly district gatherings where we are truly lead by a wonderful leader, our District

President, Mrs. Georgia Philpot who has steered us from a mighty long way, all the way to our

mission: "The Great Commission." To God Be the Glory.

Christian Education Department; 4 Overseas Matrons and 6 Memorial Stoles were donated to the

Overseas Missionaries "In Memory of" Ms. Elizabeth Baines, District Chairman of Life Members for many

years; Mrs. Alice Henderson, Mr. Ervin Hudson, Mr. Leonard Hudson, Mrs. Patsy Hudson and Ms. Oranetta

Lewis all from Talbot Chapel A.M.E. Zion Church.

Precious Memories

In Memory of my Beloved Aunt, "Ms. Elizabeth Baines" long-time District Chairman of Life

Members for many years. Gone But Not Forgotten, "Mrs. Juletha Neely French," (I've Gone

Up Yonder to be with My Lord) our 10th General Chairman of Life Members Council (1999 -

2007) and not long ago, a member of this Alabama-Florida Episcopal District.
