Women’s Ministry invites

you to our

Spring Luncheon

“Growing in God’s

Fragrant Beauty”

Saturday, March 28 @ 11:00 AM

Tickets $10 (includes lunch) Guest Speaker: Peggy Miller

Invite a friend I Peter 3:3-4 Your beauty should not come from outer

adornment,...rather, it should be that of your inner self,

the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit,

which is of great worth in God’s Sight.

“SPIRITUAL TERRORISM”“SPIRITUAL TERRORISM”“SPIRITUAL TERRORISM”

(1 Peter 5:8) “Be sober, be vigilant, because

your adversary the devil walks about like a

roaring lion seeking whom he may devour.”

(John 8:44) “He, (Satan), was a murderer

from the beginning…”

Have you been upset and disturbed about

the murderous atrocities being committed by

radical Islamic terrorists? I certainly have.

Many military experts and political leaders

warn that we are not taking them as

seriously as we should. They are continuing

to expand, torture, and kill all who do not

convert to their false, religious beliefs.

Who would have thought this threat was

even possible a decade ago? Surely, we

are living in an unprecedented time of

terror and danger.

Yet, for the Christian, “Spiritual Terrorism”

has always existed. The Devil is our enemy,

always on the prowl, a terrorist for sure. He

seeks to murder us, devour us, and destroy

our testimony for Christ.

As Christians we must be seriously aware of

this murderous enemy. We must “put on the

whole armor of God,” (Eph. 6); We must

“pray without ceasing,” (I Thess 5:17); We

must “resist him steadfast in the faith” (I Pt.

5:9); “We must be faithful till the end,” (2

Tim. 4).

God Bless,

Bro. Jack

As He has always done, the Lord

continues to “move on the hearts of

His people” to provide the means to do

His work (see Exodus

35:5,21,22,24,29; 2 Corinthians 8:1-

24). He “moved on the hearts of His

people” here at FBC Fisherville to

make a commitment to provide for a

renewed effort to “be His witnesses in

Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the

earth.” And you, His people, are responding.

Through February, you have responded with $1,192,568

toward our commitment of $2,100,000 for the Acts 1:8

Challenge Fund; nearly $40,000 in gifts to the Lottie Moon

Offering for international missions; and, are meeting our

continued commitment to our ongoing programs and

missions.

Please pray that the Lord will make clear to you how you

and your family will respond to how He “moves on the

hearts of His people.”

Acts 1:8 Challenge

But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come

on you, and you will be My witnesses in Jerusalem, in all

Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

(Acts 1:8, HCSB)

First Baptist Church Fisherville’s Acts 1:8 Challenge Fund

will strengthen our witness to our Jerusalem by funding

the renovation of our primary worship center and the

addition of a Welcome Center. It will also provide a

foundation of support for funding evangelism and missions

in our Judea and Samaria through partnerships with area

ministries and Baptist Associations. It complements our

longstanding commitment to reach the ends of the earth

through the SBC Cooperative Program and North

American and International Missions Boards.

Blessings,

Gary Redding
