On the season, Union is 13-0 with a 10-0 record versus teams ranked or receiving votes. The Lady Bulldogs are 6-0 versus teams ranked in the top- 10. Tonight, Union opens their TranSouth Conference schedule on the road against No. 10 Bethel (Tenn.). This is the seventh game of the season for Union against a top-10 team. Union also puts their 22-game road winning streak and their 51-game TranSouth regular season winning streak on the line tonight. Union is facing Bethel for the 10th �me since the Lady Wildcats rejoined the conference back in the 2006-07 season. Union is 9-0 in those games. Last season, Union swept Bethel in both games in the regular season. Union won 80-78 on a last second 3-point play by Katlin Dudley at home, and then won 85-70 at Bethel. Union has four players averaging double figures on the season led by Sarah Chan with 23.8 points and 9.7 rebounds per game. Lavanda Ross is at 15.8 points, Kayla Hudson averages 13.5 points, while Hope Adams has 10.9 points per game. Ross returns to ac�on tonight a�er missing the final three games before Christmas with an injury. In Union’s win over No. 5 St. Xavier on Dec. 3, Ross’s 21 points propelled her passed the 1,000-point mark for her career. She reached the milestone in just 85 games with Union. She is averaging just under 12 points per game for her career, but is having her best season to this point with 15.8 points per game. Ross joins ac�ve Union players Chan and Hudson who joined the 1,000 point club last season in their junior years. Chan closed out the non-conference schedule for Union with a span of outstanding performances. Over the last six games, including games at #12 Lee, at No. 5 St. Xavier, at No. 3 Campbellsville and versus No. 23 Shorter, Chan is averaged 27.6 points and 12.7 rebounds per game. She posted back-to-back career highs with 30 points versus Shorter and then 31 points at Campbellsville. Union’s Chan and Hudson are approaching more career milestones. Hudson, who set the Union all-�me assists record last season as a junior, is just nine assists away from 700 for her career. Chan, is just 18 points away from 1,500 career points. Union head coach Mark Campbell is now in his 12th season with Union. He is currently 377-46, (.891) and is the NAIA’s ac�ve leader in winning percentage.
