Accessible easy to approach, reach, enter, speak with, or use (not abuse)

Nor will people say, 'Here it is,' or 'There it is,' because the kingdom of God is within[a] you" Jesus walked the earth in human form — teaching, feeding, touching, healing all kinds of hungry, and hurting people — Jesus showed us that bodies matter. There is nothing about us that is foreign to him. He invites us to join him in this solidarity with all who are oppressed. He said that God’s reign is like a banquet for all people that “the kingdom of God is among you. (Luke 17:21)

Accountability the state of being accountable, liable, or answerable.

"For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to what he hath done, whether it be good or bad." 2 Corinthians 5:10"So then each of us shall give account of himself to God." Romans 14:12"As iron sharpens iron, So a man sharpens the countenance of his friend." Proverbs 27:17"But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the Day of Judgment. For by your words you will be justified, and by your words you will be condemned." Matthew 12:36-37

Credibility the quality of being believable or worthy of trust

Now the Berean Jews were of more noble character than those in Thessalonica, for they received the message with great eagerness and examined the Scriptures every day to see if what Paul said was true.Acts 17:11

Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.2 Timothy 2:15

Inclusiveness which that includes; enclosing; embracing.

But when you give a feast, invite the poor, the maimed, the lame, the blind, and you will be blessed, because they cannot repay you. You will be repaid at the resurrection of the just." Luke 14:13-14

Integrity adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty. the state of being whole, entire, or undiminished:

And as for you, if you will walk before me, as David your father walked, with integrity of heart and uprightness, doing according to all that I have commanded you, and keeping my statutes and my rules, then I will establish your royal throne over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not lack a man on the throne of Israel.’ (The LORD speaking to Solomon) 1 Kings 9:4-5

For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding; he stores up sound wisdom for the upright; he is a shield to those who walk in integrity, guarding the paths of justice and watching over the way of his saints. Proverbs 2:6-8

Love a profoundly tender, passionate affection for another person.

Love cont’dLove is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends. As for prophecies, they will pass away; as for tongues, they will cease; as for knowledge, it will pass away. 1 Corinthians 13:4-8

John 3:16 “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Romans 5:8No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:37-39

“Reaching the Masses”

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have

commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.

. Matthew 28: 19-20

“REACHING THE MASSES”

The great Commission was given to the eleven disciples by Jesus himself. This commission includes the instructions for specific actions to spread the gospel locally and throughout the nation. Jesus gave specific directions to follow after the disciples affirmed their faith in him.

He instructed his disciples to “GO”, get actively engaged in Missions to reach out to all, and proclaim the gospel.

He commands us to “Go” and spread the good news of Jesus Christ. Once you have made the decision to follow Jesus Christ and accept him as your personal savior, He is now talking to you. Your life is now changed,

2 Corinthian’s 5:17

Page 16: WOMAN’S BAPTIST HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONARY CONVENTION OF NORTH CAROLINA Executive Board Retreat November 8-9, 2013

Paul reminds…..• Acts 1: 8: But ye shall receive power,

after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you; and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost parts of the earth.

• (1 Cor. 6:19-20):We are representatives of God wherever we go, so it is important that we live a life full of faith. Walking in the will of God daily, for we are the temple of the Holy Spirit. "Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. "

Why we should be

“Reaching the Masses”We are Missionaries, working together to reach out and touch the lives of others in this organization of faith, officially named the Woman’s Baptist Home and Foreign Missionary Convention of North Carolina; spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to everyone who will believe and receive it, from Dare to Cherokee; joining hands together in unity and love; grounded in faith. Our mission work will be completed and God will get the glory.

We are Missionaries working together, reaching out to others who will help us to

carry the banner of hope, peace, understanding, giving, patience and love

in honor of our Lord and Savior.

Page 18: WOMAN’S BAPTIST HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONARY CONVENTION OF NORTH CAROLINA Executive Board Retreat November 8-9, 2013

Continues to echo through the centuries, transcending time and outliving all eras. Our world has changed, but this commitment is• Constant and contemporary.• It fits every age group. • We must “Go tell the story”. • Jesus provides affirmation. He tells

us to teach them to observe all things that I have commanded you.

Our Commission

Page 19: WOMAN’S BAPTIST HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONARY CONVENTION OF NORTH CAROLINA Executive Board Retreat November 8-9, 2013

We may not see the final outcome of the work we do today. • Our mission work may be in our homes,

our state or foreign fields, numerous homeless shelters, or even working among despised people.

• Our names may never appear in print, or our service of love for Jesus Christ may be unnoticed;

• but if we keep on working, we may be the unconscious instruments reaching out to help someone who needs us.

For us to leave a Christian legacy for this great convention, we must work together in unity, biding together and working as a team just like Naomi and Ruth.

“Reaching the Masses”

Page 20: WOMAN’S BAPTIST HOME AND FOREIGN MISSIONARY CONVENTION OF NORTH CAROLINA Executive Board Retreat November 8-9, 2013

• There is mission work for each of us to do.

• The time is right• The moment has come for us to

get busy about our fathers work.

Christ himself gave the apostles, the prophets, the evangelists, the pastors and teachers to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. Ephesians 4: 11-13.

Mathew 28 19-20• Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing

them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:

• Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Acts 1:8• But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost

is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

Mark 16:15• And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and

preach the gospel to every creature.

2 Timothy 2:2 • And the things that thou hast heard of me among

many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

How did I get here…My grandmother, the late Jessie Margaret Stephens Inman no doubt planted the seed over 39 years ago for me to serve in this convention. The influence of my grandmother, who both taught and trained me, made the difference. It is written in 2Timothy 3: 14-15, “ but continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; and that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures, which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus.

To God be the GloryTo God be the Glory

To God be the Glory for the things he has done.
