There are a variety of ways to stay informed about our school’s curriculum, events, and other important announcements: • Weekly Kindergarten Newsletter and the Kindergarten Blog • Email • Wolf Canyon School website at cvesd.org • Check your child’s homework folder every Monday and his/her backpack daily . We have completed our study of the letters and sounds of the alphabet. We are now moving onto blends and word families. We hope you had a wonderful and restful winter break. We know that the kids were definitely ready for the holiday season. Now it is back to work for our kiddos. Please have your child read every night on raz-kids as they need to be at level F by the end of the year. We want to create a love and enjoyment for reading in and easy and fun way. Attention all Parents: Please send an extra snack for the afternoon snack time. We as teachers are not able to provide a snack due to dietary concerns. It is a long day for these Kindergarteners and they eat lunch at 10:30 am. Please parents send a snack for your child. Before the holiday break a packet was sent home about the Science Fair projects and the 100 th Day. Please refer to the packet for directions for the Science Fair project. If you have any questions please check the kinder blog for pictures and information regarding the Science Fair activity. Curriculum Corner Math We will be working on story problems and problem solving strategies. Social Studies We will be learning about the history of important people such as Martin Luther King, Jr. and the impact he has made on our country.
