Wolds Equine Rehabilitation & Training
Accredited Equine Sports Massage
2019 Prospectus
Equine Sports and Rehabilitation Massage Therapy
All horses can benefit from sports and rehabilitation massage. Equine massage therapists
employ massage techniques on competition, leisure and companion horses. When
muscles are overused or misused, they can become sore or overstretched. The horse may
then compensate by improperly using other muscles or tensing up, leading to potential
injury, restricted motion, discomfort and decreased performance quality. By promoting
muscle relaxation, circulation and healing, we can improve the horses’ performance,
balance and comfort.
Study with Wolds Equine Rehabilitation & Training
The following four modules you will see in this prospectus, along with the practical
training days offered, will guide students through the stages needed to become
competent Equine Sports & Rehabilitation Massage Therapists. Upon successful
Graduation with Wolds Equine Rehabilitation & Training, Approved Practitioner
Certification will be issued.
