A SPIRITUAL COMMUNION
My Jesus, I believe that You are present in the
Most Holy Sacrament. I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You
sacramentally, come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there and unite myself wholly to You. Never permit me to be separated from You.
Amen.

Gospel for March 22, 2020 Fourth Sunday of Lent
As Jesus passed by he saw a man blind from birth. He spat on the ground and made clay with the saliva,
and smeared the clay on his eyes, and said to him,
“Go wash in the Pool of Siloam” — which means Sent —. So he went and washed, and came back able to see.
His neighbors and those who had seen him earlier as a beggar said, “Isn’t this the one who used to sit and beg?”
Some said, “It is, “ but others said, “No, he just looks like him.”
He said, “I am.” They brought the one who was once blind to the Pharisees.
Now Jesus had made clay and opened his eyes on a sabbath. So then the Pharisees also asked him how he was able to see.
He said to them, “He put clay on my eyes, and I washed, and now I can see.”
So some of the Pharisees said, “This man is not from God,
because he does not keep the sabbath.” But others said,
“How can a sinful man do such signs?” And there was a division among them.
So they said to the blind man again, “What do you have to say about him,
since he opened your eyes?” He said, “He is a prophet.”
They answered and said to him, “You were born totally in sin,
and are you trying to teach us?” Then they threw him out.
When Jesus heard that they had thrown him out, he found him and said, “Do you believe in the Son of Man?”
He answered and said, “Who is he, sir, that I may believe in him?”
Jesus said to him, “You have seen him, and
the one speaking with you is he.” He said,
“I do believe, Lord,” and he worshiped him.
John 9:1, 6-9, 13-17, 34-38
The Fourth Sunday of Lent March 22, 2020
Greetings in Jesus Christ, Very few of us could ever imagine the events of these past few days. The following is a summary of the directives from the Archdiocese of Boston and information from the Woburn Catholic Collaborative of St. Anthony and St. Barbara parishes. Most Recent Directives from the Archdiocese of Boston • All Masses and, except as provided below, religious services in all Archdiocesan parishes, missions, and
campus ministries are suspended until further notice. • The Cardinal has issued a dispensation from the obligation to attend Mass during this time to the Catholics
of the Archdiocese of Boston. • Baptisms, weddings and funerals may proceed but attendance should be limited to only immediate family. • All religious education, faith formation and related activities (e.g. adult faith formation, youth ministry, etc.)
are suspended until further notice. • All other social events, fundraising activities, or other functions should be canceled or postponed until
further notice. Important Information from the Woburn Catholic Collaborative • In an abundance of caution to mitigate risks, both parish churches are now closed. • Given the requisites of social distancing, regularly scheduled Confessions are suspended. • All Mass intentions will be rescheduled. • The following is a schedule of televised Masses on Catholic TV – Comcast Channel 286 or 183; Verizon
Channel 296; RCN Channel 85: Sunday Mass: 7:00am Daily Mass: 9:30am Daily Rosary:10:00am 7:00pm 6:30pm • Mass can be heard by radio on 1060 AM: Sunday – Saturday: 8:00am Monday – Friday: 9:00pm • Keep your parish financially stable. Mail your offertory Gift to the Lord to Woburn Catholic Collaborative,
138 Cambridge Road, Woburn, MA 01801. • Consider online giving. This supports your parish when Mass attendance is disrupted. You can also make a
one-time gift in this time of need.
Go to: https://www.woburncatholic.org/ and select the church you wish to contribute.
• Keep in touch with seniors, neighbors or anyone else who might be anxious, vulnerable or in any other need.
• Don’t hoard. Purchase only what you need.
Pope Francis’s prayer to Our Lady during the COVID 19 pandemic
O Mary,
you always shine on our path as a sign of salvation and of hope.
We entrust ourselves to you, Health of the Sick, who at the cross took part in Jesus' pain, keeping your faith firm.
You, Salvation of the Roman People, know what we need,
and we are sure you will provide so that, as in Cana of Galilee,
we may return to joy and to feasting after this time of trial.
Help us, Mother of Divine Love, to conform to the will of the Father and to do as we are told by Jesus,
who has taken upon himself our sufferings and carried our sorrows
to lead us, through the cross, to the joy of the resurrection. Amen.
We’ll all get through this with calm, caution and care. Please continue to keep all those affected by the coronavirus, their families, and our health care workers in your prayers.
Sincerely yours in Christ, Fr. Thomas Powers Pastor
