General Safety Never place your machine on a
carpet covered floor. Otherwise,lack of airflow from below of yourmachine may cause electricalparts to overheat. This may causeproblems with your washingmachine.
If the power cable or mains plug isdamaged you must call AuthorizedService for repair.
Check water hoses for wear. Donot use old/used water inlet hoses.These may cause stains on yourlaundry.
Fit the drain hose into the dischargehousing securely to prevent anywater leakage and to allow machine
to take in and discharge water asrequired. It is very important that thewater intake and drain hoses are notfolded, squeezed, or broken whenthe appliance is pushed into placeafter it is installed or cleaned.
Your washing machine is designedto continue operating in the eventof a power interruption. You cannotcancel any programme by pressing the
On/Off button. Your machine willnot resume its programme when thepower restores. Press the Start/Pause/Cancel button for 3 secondsto cancel the programme(See,Cancelling a Programme)
There may be some water in yourmachine when you receive it. This isfrom the quality control process andis normal. It is not harmful to your
machine. Some problems you may encounter
may be caused by the software.Press "Start/Pause/Cancel" button
for 3 seconds to cancel theprogramme set in your machinebefore calling the authorized service.
First Use To prepare your machine for
washing, carry out your first washingprocess without loading yourmachine and with detergent underCottons 90C programme.
Ensure that the cold and hot waterconnections has been madecorrectly when installing yourmachine. Otherwise, your laundry
may come out hot at the end of thewashing process and may wear out.
If the current fuse or circuit breakeris less than 13 Amperes, pleasehave a qualified electrician install a13 Ampere fuse or circuit breaker.
While using with or without atransformer, do not neglect to havethe grounding installation laid by aqualified electrician. Our company
shall not be liable for any damagesthat may arise when the machine isused on a line without grounding.
To make your machine ready foruse, please be sure that the tapwater supply and water drainagesystems are appropriate beforecalling the authorized service. If theyare not, call a qualified plumber tohave any necessary arrangements
carried out.
Intended use This product has been designed for
home use. The appliance may only be used for
washing and rinsing of textiles thatare marked accordingly.
Only detergents, softeners andsupplements suitable for washingmachines may be used.

Neveropenthedoororremovethe
filter while there is still water in thedrum.Otherwise,theremaybetherisk of flooding and possible injurydue to the hot water.
Neverforceopenthelockeddoor!The door will be ready to open just afew minutes after the washing cyclecomes to an end.
Unplugthemachinewhenitisnotinuse.
Neverwashdowntheappliancewith a water hose! There is the riskof electric shock! Always disconnectfrom the mains by unplugging beforecleaning.
Nevertouchtheplugwithwethands. Never unplug by pullingon the cable, always pull out fromthe plug only. Do not operate themachine if the power cord or plug is
damaged. Neverattempttorepairthemachineyourself.Otherwise,youmaybeputting yours and other's lives indanger.
Formalfunctionsthatcannotbe solved by information in theoperatingmanual:Turn off the machine, unplug it, turnoff the water tap and contact an
authorized service agent.
If there are children in yourhouse... Electricalappliancesmaybe
dangerousforthechildren.Keepchildren away from the machinewhen it is operating. Do not let them
tamper with the machine. Closethedoorwhenyouleavethearea where the machine is located.

Removing packagingreinforcementTilt the machine to remove thepackaging reinforcement block. Removethe packaging reinforcement block bypulling the ribbon.
Opening the transportationlocks
Transportation safety bolts mustbe removed before operating thewashing machine! Otherwise, the
machine will be damaged!
1. Loosen all the bolts with a spanneruntil they rotate freely (C)
2. Remove transportation safety boltsby turning them gently.
3. Fit the covers (supplied in the bagwith the Operation Manual) into theholes on the rear panel. (P)
Keep the transportation safetybolts in a safe place to reuse whenthe washing machine needs to be
moved again in the future.Never move the appliance withoutthe transportation safety boltsproperly fixed in place!
Appropriate installationlocationInstall the appliance in environmentswhich have no risk of freezing, in astable and level position.
The floor must be capable ofcarrying the load on it!If the washing machine and a drier
are placed on top of each other,their approximate weight togethermay reach 180 kg when they arefull.
Important: Do not place the appliance on top of
the power cable. Keep at least 1cm distance from the
edges of other furniture. Place the machine on a firm surface;
do not position it on a long pile rugor such like surfaces.
Adjusting the feetC Do not use any tools to loosen the
lock nuts. Otherwise, they can bedamaged.
1. Manually (by hand) loosen the locknuts on the feet.
2. Adjust them until the machinestands level and firm.

3. Important: Tighten all lock nuts upagain.
Connecting to the watersupply.Important: The water supply pressure required
to run the machine must be 1-10bar (0,1 1,0 MPa). Attach a
pressure-reducing valve if the waterpressure is higher. Connect the special hose supplied
with the machine to the water intakevalve on the machine.Connect the elbow end of thespecial hose (as shown in below PIC)supplied with the machine to thewater intake valve. Connect theother end to the cold water supplytap. Ensure the rubber seals arein the end of the hose. Handtighten only.
Open the taps completely after
making the hose connection to
check if there is any water leakageat the connection points. Turn offthe tap and remove the nut in caseof any leakage. Retighten the nutcarefully after checking the seal.To prevent any water leakage andany other damage to be caused byit, keep the taps closed when themachine is not in use.
Models with a single water inletshould not be connected to thehot water tap. Laundry may bedamaged or the appliance mayswitch to protection mode and notwork.
When returning the appliance to itsplace after maintenance or cleaning,
care should be taken not to fold,squeeze or block the hoses.
Connecting to the drainThe water discharge hose can beattached to the edge of a washbasin orbathtub. The drain hose should be firmlyfitted into the drain as to not loosen inits housing.

Theendofthedrainhosecanbe directly connected to thewastewater drain or to thewashbasin. The fitting must besecured in all types of connections.Yourhousemaybefloodedifthehose falls out of its housing duringwater discharging.
Thehoseshouldbeattachedtoaheight of at least 40 cm, and 100cm at most.
Incasethehoseiselevatedafter laying it on the floor level orclosetotheground(lessthan40cmabovetheground),waterdischarge becomes more difficultand the laundry may come out wet.Therefore, the heights described inthe figure should be followed.
Topreventdirtywaterrefillingthemachine, and to allow for easydischarge, the end of the hosemust not be submerged in the drainwater. The end of the hose must beable to take in air. The hose shouldbe pushed into the drainage formore than 15 cm. If it is too longyou may have it shortened.
Theendofthehoseshouldnotbebent, it should not be stepped onand it must not be folded betweenthe drain and the machine.
Thelengthofthehoseistooshort,you may add an extension hoseto the original section. The lengthof the hose must not be longerthan 3.2 m after coming out of themachine. To avoid water leakagefailures, the connection between the
extension hose and the drain hoseof the product must be fitted wellwith an appropriate clamp as not tocome off and leak.
Electrical connectionConnect the machine to an earthedoutlet protected by a fuse of suitablecapacity.Important: Connectionshouldcomplywith
national regulations. Powercordplugmustbewithin
easy reach after installation. Thevoltageandtheallowedfuse
protection are specified in the
sectionTechnicalSpecifications. Thespecifiedvoltagemustbeequalto your mains voltage.
Connectionviaextensioncordsormulti-plugs should not be made.
B A damaged power cable must bereplaced by a qualified electrician.
B The appliance must not be operatedunless it is repaired! There is the riskof electric shock!
Destroying the packagingmaterialPackagingmaterialcanbedangeroustochildren.Keepthepackagingmaterialsout of reach of children or disposethem by classifying according towaste directives. Do not dispose themtogether with normal domestic waste.Packagingmaterialsofyourmachineare
manufactured from recyclable materials.
Disposing of the old machineDispose of your old appliance in anenvironmental friendly manner. Youmayrefertoyourlocalagentor
solid waste collection center in yourmunicipality to learn how to disposeof your machine.
Before disposing of your old washing
machine, cut off the mains plug andmake the door lock unusable.

Sort ing the laundry Sort the laundry according to type
of fabric, color, and degree of soilingand permissible water temperature.
Always follow the advice on thegarment labels.
Preparing clothes for washingLaundry items with metal attachmentssuch as, bras, belt buckles and metalbuttons will damage the machine.Remove metal attachments or place the
items in a clothing bag, pillow case, orsomething similar.
Empty pockets and remove allforeign objects such as coins, pensand paper clips. If possible, turnpockets out and brush.
Place small items like infantssocks and nylon stockings, etc.in a laundry bag, pillow case orsomething similar. This will also saveyour laundry from getting lost.
Place curtains in the machine withcare. Remove curtain rails andpullers.
Fasten zippers, sew loose buttonsand mend rips and tears.
Wash machine washable or handwashable labelled products onlywith an appropriate programme.
Do not wash colours and whitestogether. New, dark colouredcottons may release a lot of dye.Wash them separately.
Tough stains must be treatedproperly before washing. If you arenot sure, check with a dry cleaner.
Use only dyes/colour changers andlime removers suitable for machinewash. Always follow the instructionson the packaging.
Wash trousers and delicate clothesturned inside out.
Keep laundry items made of Angorawool in the freezer for a few hoursbefore washing. This will reducepilling.
Correct load capacity The maximum load capacity
depends on the type of laundry, thedegree of soiling and the washingprogramme you wish to use.The machine adjusts the amount ofwater according to the amount oflaundry placed inside.Please follow the information in the
"Programme Selection Table".Washing results will degrade when themachine is overloaded.

Loading doorThe door is locked during programmeoperation. The door can be opened aftersome time following the programme end. Open the door. Place laundry items loosely in the
machine.
Push the door until it clicks intoplace tightly. Ensure that no itemsare caught in the door.
Detergents and softenersDetergent drawerThe detergent drawer is composed ofthree compartments:The detergent dispenser may be in twodifferent types according to the model of
your machine.- (I) for prewash- (II) for main wash- (III) siphon ( ) for softener
Detergent, softener and othercleaning agentsAdd detergent and softener beforestarting the washing programme.Never open the detergent dispenserdrawer while the washing programmeis running!When using a programme without pre-wash, no detergent should be putinto the pre-wash compartment(Compartment no. I).A programme without pre-wash shouldnot be selected if a detergent bag ora dispensing ball is going to be used.You can place the detergent bag orthe dispensing ball directly among thelaundry in your machine.
Choosing the detergent typeThe type of detergent to be useddepends on the type and colour offabric. Use different detergents for coloured
and white clothes. Wash woolens with a special
detergent specifically for woolens. Use only detergents manufactured
specifically for washing machines.
Detergent quantityThe amount of washing detergent tobe used depends on the amount oflaundry, the degree of soiling and waterhardness.
Do not use amounts exceedingthe quantities recommended onthe package to avoid problemsof excessive foam, poor rinsing,financial savings and finally,environmental protection.
Use small amounts of detergent at asuitable measure for small amountsof laundry or for only slightly soiledlaundry.
Use exact measures for highlyconcentrated detergents.

Additional programmesFor special cases, there are also extraprogrammes available:Additional programmes may differ
according to the features of yourmachine.
A Class 40This programme washes for a longer periodat 40C and gives the same result as theCottons 60C programme, thus it savesenergy. It is suitable for clothes for whichyou cannot use the Cottons 60 Cprogramme. MiniThis programme is used to quickly wash(30 minutes) a small amount of lightlysoiled cotton garments.
Special programmesFor specific applications, you can selectany of the following programmes: RinseThis programme is used when you want torinse or starch separately. Pump+spinThis programme spins with maximumpossible rpm in the default setting afterthe water drains from the machine.
You should use a lower spin speedfor delicate laundries.
Spin Speed select ionYou can have your clothes spin atthe maximum rpm selection on yourmachine by using the selection knob inmodels equipped with an rpm selectionknob. In order to protect your clothes,your machine will not spin above 800rpm on synthetic programmes and 600 rpm
on woolens programme. Furthermore, ifyou want to skip the spin cycle and takeyour clothes out, turn the rpm selectionknob to no spin position.In machines not equipped with a spin
speed selection knob, the machine willspin in the maximum possible rpm in thedefault setting of the selected programme.

Auxiliary functionsAuxiliary funct ion select ion keys Desired auxiliary function depending
on the programme is selected. Some combinations cannot be
selected together.
Warning signal on the selectedauxiliary function will light up.
Auxiliary function buttons may differaccording to the model of your machine.
Auxiliary function selectionIf an auxiliary function that should notbe selected together with a previouslyselected function is chosen, the first
selected function will be cancelled andthe last auxiliary function selection willremain active.Auxiliary function that is not compatiblewith the programme cannot be selected.(see, Programme Selection Table)
Pre-washA pre-wash is only worthwhile for heavilysoiled laundry. Without pre-wash you
save energy, water, detergent and time.Pre-wash without detergent isrecommended for lace and curtains.Less detergent should be put in themain wash compartment as looseknit fabrics (lace) foam too muchdue to its meshed structure.
Extra RinseWith this function, you can increase thenumber of current rinsing steps. Thus,
sensitive skins risk of being affected bythe remainder detergent on the clotheswill be decreased.Rinse holdIf you do not want to unload yourclothes immediately after the cotton,synthetics, woolen and delicate fabricsprogramme, you may release your clothesinside the machine in the last rinsingwater by pressing the rinse hold button
in order to prevent your clothes becomewrinkled. After this process you mayspin your laundry by pressing Start/Pause/Cancel button or you may endthe programmeby pressing Start/Pause/
Cancel button for 3 sec. In the machines equipped with spin
speed selection knob or button, youcan spin by selecting the desiredspin speed and press Start/Pause/Cancel button.
As for machines not equipped witha spin speed selection knob, youcan end the programme without aspin cycle by pressing the Start/Pause/Cancel button and drainingthe water. If you wish your clothesbe spun, you can spin them byselecting pump+spin programme.
Spin speed reductionYou may use the speed reductionbutton whenever you wish to spinyour clothes below the maximum spinspeed. When speed reduction buttonis pressed, spin speed will be at theminimum rpm given on the panel.No spinYou may use this programme if you donot want to spin your clothes at the endof cottons, synthetics, woolen or delicateprogrammes.
Start ing the Programme1. Press Start/Pause/Cancel button
to start the programme.2. Start/Pause/Cancel button will
light up to indicate that the programmehas started.
3. The door is locked and the"wash"light will illuminate.
Progressing a programmeProgress of a running programme is shownthrough the programme follow-up indicator. At the beginning of every programme
step, the relevant indicator lamp willlight up and light of the completedstep will turn off. The symbol that is
lit up at the far right of the series ofsymbols indicates the step that isbeing carried out.

The Wash light on the programmefollow-up indicator illuminates whenStart/Pause/Cancelbutton is pressedafter selecting the washing programme.The Spin/End lamp illuminatesand the Wash light will fade when theprogramme comes to an end.Meanwhile, the door willstay locked for your safety and when itis safe to open, the Ready and Spin/End lights remain on.
You can put your machine into Pausemode by pressing the Start/Pause/Cancel button when it is operating.In this case, the Start/Pause/Cancellight will flash. Some changes inprogramme settings can be made inpause mode (See. Changing a Programme)and if Pause mode is entered at anappropriate step of the programme, theadding laundry function may be used.(See, Adding and taking out laundry).Press Start/Pause/Cancel buttonagain to return to the Wash modefrom Pause mode. In this case theStart/Pause/Cancel button will lightup continuously and the machine willresume operating from the step it waspaused.If the machine is not spinning, the
programme may be in rinse holdmode or the automatic spin correctionsystem has been activated becauseof unbalanced distribution of laundryin the machine.
Changing the programme afterthe programme has startedYou can use this feature after yourmachine has started to wash differenttextile groups in the same batchof clothes under higher or lowertemperatures.For example;Press and hold the Start/Pause/
Cancel button for 3 seconds toCancel the programme in order toselect Cottons 40 programme insteadofCottons 60 programme.
Select the Cottons 40 programme byrotating the programme knob.Press Start/Pause/Cancel button tostart the programme.
The programme which is selectedfirst will go on even if the programmeselection button is moved andanother programme mode is selectedwhile the machine is operating.You must cancel the ongoingprogramme in or der to change thewashing programme.(See, Cancellinga Programme)
Selecting or cancelling an auxiliaryfunction/ temperature/spin speed1. Press the Start/Pause/Cancel
button to switch the machine toPause mode.
2. Change the auxiliary functionstemperature and spin speed.
Press Start/Pause/Cancel button tostart the programme.
The selection to be made must beappropriate. For example, if yourmachine is on the main wash cycle,you may select additional rinseauxiliary function, but you cannotselect pre-wash.The spin speed and temperaturewhich are selected first will keep onbeing valid even if the position of thespin speed or temperature selectionknob is changed. Press the Start/Pause/Cancel button and switchthe machine to Pause mode inorder to change the spin speed ortemperature. New spin speed ortemperature can be selected.
Adding/removing laundry in standbymodeIf you want to add more laundry into themachine after the washing cycle hasstarted, put the machine into Pausemode by pressing the Start/Pause/Cancel button. The Readylamp on theprogramme follow-up indicator will lightup steadily after 1-2 minutes if the water
