We were on the couch in your apartment with the fireplace lit,Mainly because of my stubbornness, my refusal to close the windows and our issues with

sleep.

We were writing, separately but together.At that moment, my heart let out a breath and I knew you were my husband.

You were my love. You were my last. You were my forever. You were my prayer

I remember waking up to you on your knees, praying.For you. For me. For us.

I loved you then, probably before that and will long after all this.

leaning in for hugs and kisses.

Slow dances in our passage, to the

smooth sounds of Nina.

Beginning. Ending. Restarting our

days.

His tongue writes songs on my skin,
