“Although hard to quantify, I believe that for the amount of free items given out, there is plenty of positive promotion of the vendors their via word of mouth/social media and there will certainly be purchases from

those vendors in my neck of the woods due to their sponsorship.” - 2013 Ultimate Chicago Sandblast attendee

Collectively it separates Sandblast from other tournaments by making it more of an experience. You get tangible products that you need during a tournament, and sometimes they turn out to be great products you would have otherwise never tried. I loved the Monster iced-tea and lemonade. It's something I normally would not have tried on my own though.

I know many players on our team really saw a difference in their recovery after playing on Saturday that they thought had a lot to do with those products. Having all the vender samples available was awesome! Anyone willing to support ultimate is a company that I am more likely to recommend and purchase in the future.

I loved the accelerated rehab tent, because they were very willing to help me get an appointment for my back and even referred me to some really great doctors. I also loved monster energy and muscle milk was there, nothing like free energy and protein! Since sandblast, I have bought products from monster, muscle milk, KIND, and ZICO.

They were great! Seriously. I had something from all of them and if I were buying a related product, I'd give them preference because of their support of sandblast.

Potbelly's was great for lunch and all teams really appreciated it. The KIND snacks were delicious and I am definitely more like to buy them in the future. I appreciated that Monster Energy took the context of the tournament into consideration and brought "rehab" drinks instead of their usual sugary, fizzy ones; they were great for dehydrated ultimate players!

The sponsors are one of the highlights of Sandblast, I love going to the tents and seeing what is available each year. 5 hour energy and Monster giveaways definitely enhance my party experience and keep me awake after running all day! At first I didn't like coconut water, but I can tell that drinking them on the beach rehydrates me quite well.

Couldn't have played without Accelerated Rehabilitation. KIND breakfast was delicious. I was so excited about Potbelly's each day. I'll probably need to stop by my local store soon. Monster Rehab was also excellent. Good option for the beach tournament.

It was fun to have them there and added to the tournament spirit. My esteem of the brands went up, by seeing them there at the tournament.

Prior to Sandblast, I was unaware of many of these companies and products. Now that I am aware, I am more likely to notice them in stores.

Forgot how good Potbelly's was, having not eaten there since I stopped eating meat 4 years ago. Will definitely be returning there now that I had a vegetarian sandwich this weekend. Will be buying ZICO over other brands from now on.

All of the representatives were generous with samples and very friendly. I left Sandblast feeling like I knew the brands better and am more interested.

Other Sponsor-Specific Comments and Feedback

Accelerated Rehabilitation Centers

It's phenomenal that we're able to pay what we do and be taken care of so well. I think my biggest surprise was how many [Accelerated] trainers/tapers there were this year, there was never a long line and that helped us get ready to play that much sooner

I utilized almost all sponsors and was glad they were there. [Accelerated] Athletic trainors took care of bumps and bruises and offered grate advice on treating nagging injuries. All other sponsors provided beneficial nutrition to get through the weekend and recovery after.

Accelerated Rehabilitation was swift and accurate with their wrapping, cleaning, helping. Stellar service.

[ZICO] Coconut water is awesome, accelerated rehab did a great job, Potbelly's is good tourney food.

KIND Snacks

I don't eat gluten and kind bars presence felt like I had someone in my corner amongst the beer and bagels. I was a much happier player with their products present.

ZICO & Kind were two products I did not know well and am very happy with. I did not realize that KIND was gluten free!

Kind and Natalie's Juices were great!

They all made it a great experience! Especially Monster Energy, Potbelly's, and KIND Snacks. Tasty treats and drinks

KIND snacks was great for the morning and tasted very good.

The Kind breakfast option was such a nice addition!

ZICO coconut water and Monster were awesome hydration options during the games. Wish that ZICO would have been there Sunday as well! The kind snacks were also very nice to have during games.

Lagunitas

I've never had Lagunitas before, and I found out that I liked it a lot. I even bought it tonight at a company happy hour because of this weekend.

The Lagunitas was great and will definitely be buying more sumpin sumpin soon

Great [Lagunitas] beer deal, good venue for the event and awesome band to cap it off.

The beer sponsor [Lagunitas] was great

Free beer is always good, but free GOOD beer is amazing! Nice choice of [Lagunitas] beer for the promo.

The [Lagunitas] beer was good, but too hoppy to drink a lot of.

The drink deal [of Lagunitas] was a great improvement over last year

Awesome. Great band. Fun times. I really like Lagunitas

Much better options this year than last year. [Lagunitas] was much appreciated by my team

I liked that there were some good quality [Lagunitas] beer options

It was a good [Lagunitas] beer option this year

The sponsors definitely make sandblast, especially Lagunitas, without them it wouldn't have been nearly as good.

Lagunitas is great

Monster Energy

Loved the Monster and Muscle Milk

Never head Muscle Milk before and enjoyed it. Same with the Monster recovery drink

Having non-carbonated monsters were great.

I was previously unaware that Monster Energy offered the "Rehab" line. It was a great offering for athletics on the beach and something that I'll try again.

The pop chips, monster, and muscle milk people were awesome and helpful, and were wonderful sponsors to have around at Sandblast.

They all made it a great experience! Especially Monster Energy, Potbelly's, and KIND Snacks. Tasty treats and drinks

Sponsors were well-organized and had adequate product. Potbelly's did a good job of having lunch boxes ready to hand out efficiently and with minimal confusion. Monster was very generous in providing lots of cold drinks, and I liked both flavors of product they brought.

ZICO coconut water and Monster were awesome hydration options during the games. Wish that ZICO would have been there Sunday as well! The kind snacks were also very nice to have during games.

Muscle Milk

I also really enjoyed the sponsors, Muscle Milk is my fav!

Having Muscle Milk there day two was key.

They make Sandblast amazing! I thoroughly enjoyed Potbelly's and the prize wheel they incorporated into everything and muscle milk was great to have there for Sunday since I probably really needed the recovery

Loved the Monster and Muscle Milk

Never head Muscle Milk before and enjoyed it. Same with the Monster recovery drink

Potbelly's sandwiches are perfect for lunch. Having the sponsors makes the event feel more "legitimate." Since it is impossible for the staff to provide water to all the teams, having sponsors like Zico and Muscle Milk is really nice.

Natalie's Orchid Island Juice Company

Please bring back [Natalie's] Orchid Island Juice!

I really enjoyed the Natalie's Orchid Island Juice Company. I thought the vendor was extremely excited about his product and it was a quality product. I wish he was there on Sunday!

Kind and Natalie's Juices were great!

PopChips

It was great to have lunch from potbelly's. It wasn't too heavy. Popchips are always delicious. I had never tried the coconut water or the juice, always cool to try new things.

The pop chips, monster, and muscle milk people were awesome and helpful, and were wonderful sponsors to have around at Sandblast.

Potbelly's

Potbelly's lunch on both days was a plus. Sponsors and products provided were good.

The Potbelly's was amazing

It was great to have lunch from potbelly's. It wasn't too heavy. Popchips are always delicious. I had never tried the coconut water or the juice, always cool to try new things.

The Potbelly's lunches were outstanding

Much prefer Potbelly's over Chipotle.

[Potbelly's] lunch for both days is amazing, no other tournament that I've attended has provided that. Love the free stuff and sponsors!

Potbelly's was great for lunches (and I really appreciated having lunch both days)

They all made it a great experience! Especially Monster Energy, Potbelly's, and KIND Snacks. Tasty treats and drinks

[ZICO] Coconut water is awesome, accelerated rehab did a great job, Potbelly's is good tourney food.

[Potbelly's] Sandwiches for lunch worked out great.

I love Potbelly's. Potbelly's is awesome.

Sponsors were well-organized and had adequate product. Potbelly's did a good job of having lunch boxes ready to hand out efficiently and with minimal confusion. Monster was very generous in providing lots of cold drinks, and I liked both flavors of product they brought.

Potbelly's was delicious and I loved the vegetarian option!

I thought Potbelly's did a great job of keeping all the team's food organized. I am a vegetarian and in past years, I haven't gotten a meal because all the veggie burritos were gone. It was nice to actually be able to eat this year.

As a vegetarian, I appreciate the tasty veggie sandwich options provided by Potbelly's.

It was great the ZICO gave free waters. Loved Potbelly's for lunch!

Potbelly's each day was fantastic!

It was great to have lunch (Potbelly's) during the tournament which is only the second time Ive been in a tournament that provided food. It was really nice and thoughtful. The snacks throughout the weekend really helped keep me hydrated as well as sustained me during the day. Much needed, so thank you!

Windy City Wildfire

70% of respondent's votes for Windy City Wildfire game to be Friday night event weekend activity for 2014 It was a great idea to have that game. I had a lot of fun. It did a great job of promoting the Wildfire

It was a good time, but it would be better if the Wildfire would be willing to push it back by one hour. Coming from western Illinois, there was so much traffic that we missed the tailgate and first 15 minutes of the game. Pushing it back would allow more out-of-towners to attend.

Wildfire was perfect. Definitely do that again. The location of the party and the wildfire game option were the best. For the wildfire it's optional and the drinking isn't over the top like a party which may make Sunday even more brutal than it already is.

I like the activity as opposed to a party at a bar. There is a bar party on Sat. The activity gives people a time to talk and hang out without having to yell over music. I have not gone to the friday party in the past, because I wanted to actually talk to people, so my team and others had a picnic instead. This year we moved the picnic to sunday and went to the Wildfire game.

Good idea and great opportunity to see and AUDL game and promote the sport and team, tailgating only sweetens the deal. I would like see it as part of the SB weekend next year.

I really enjoyed the opportunity to watch the game and start the weekend early.

I enjoyed having something to do on Friday with my team since I was out of town.

ZICO Coconut Water

[ZICO] Coconut Water was greatly missed on Sunday. Appreciated the flavored one, because the plain was hard to stomach last year! It is great for hydration, too!

[ZICO] Coconut water is awesome, accelerated rehab did a great job, Potbelly's is good tourney food.

ZICO & Kind were two products I did not know well and am very happy with. I did not realize that KIND was gluten free!

ZICO coconut water and Monster were awesome hydration options during the games. Wish that ZICO would have been there Sunday as well! The kind snacks were also very nice to have during games.

It was great the ZICO gave free waters. Loved Potbelly's for lunch!
