It also represents ASB’s long-term investment and commitment to its teammates, community, and future.
The Client’s brief was to design a high-end resort with a focus on the Meetings, Incentives, Conference and Entertainment market (MICE). A unique and contemporary style was desired in keeping with the overall philosophy of the wider Creative New Town Master Plan while having relevance to Chinese culture.

Ho‘okupu Center transforms a net shed, which became a storage shed, to a multi-purpose gathering place serving the program and community. The project de-constructs a static building with the use of roll-up doors and sliding partitions, to create an indoor-outdoor modern Hawaiian place that embraces Kewalo Basin and the ocean.
