*Do we know why Amber took her

own life? Do we know what she

was thinking as she took her own

life? No, we don't. We wish we

could turn back time and talk to

her just once more to give her a

shred of hope. We wish we could

turn back time and let her know

how very loved she was...is. We

wish we could turn back time and

hear her...see her...feel her. But

we can't. All we can do now is

pray with hope that we can offer

resources to those hurting. Please

use them. Please reach out. You

are important. You have

something to contribute to this

world. You are loved.

**She was silly. She was bold. She was

encouraging. She was determined. She was...Amber. We now know she was also profoundly sad and her one mistake (other than her final act) was that she didn't reach out for the help available. She masked her pain in the midst of all her talents. She hid her pain from a community of people who truly loved her. Amber's inability to share her pain has tragically affected those who loved her deeply. This charity is dedicated to Amber and people like Amber; people who wish they could share their darkest thoughts and, for whatever reason, are unable to reach out.

**Amber was an avid soccer

player, a good student, and a

loving friend. She was the

keeper and co-captain for her

JUSA G90-A Club soccer team

and keeper for El Dorado High

School. As a freshman she

played varsity soccer and still

had time for her family, her

boyfriend and her friends.

**With Hope, the Amber Craig Memorial Foundation

was born with the desire that as a community we

can help our youth negotiate troubled times. With

Hope Foundation is dedicated to suicide

prevention through improving mental health

support services and education in our schools and

throughout our community. With Hope Foundation

is committed to supporting our local schools’

efforts in suicide prevention through education.

We have pledged to make available, at no cost to

the schools, speakers and materials to effectively

educate our community’s youth.

*With Hope Foundation is committed to supporting our local schools’ efforts in suicide prevention through education. We have pledged to make available, at no cost to the schools a completely free service. All we need for inputs are an

allotment of speakers and materials to effectively create our output of educating our community’s youth in the following ways:

1. We teach School staff and local clergy, police, and recreation staff to help them identify students risk of suicide and refer such students for help. These programs also teach staff how to respond incases of a tragic death or other crisis in the school.

2. We provide general suicide education. These school-based programs explicate facts about suicide, alert them to suicide warning signs, and provide them with information about how to seek help for themselves or for others. These programs often incorporate a variety of self-esteem or social competency development activities.

*With Hope endorses people to critically

think. We strive to educate and get

people to answer the real a question.

Who will I effect if I kill myself? To think what the real consequences of suicide

are, and how it not only ends your life

but it effects the people that love and

care about you for the rest of their lives.

Page 13: With Hope by Lance Laborde

*With Hope also endorses critical action. We

hope that through our gatekeeper program we

provide students with facts about suicide. To be

actively engaged with their peers, to alert

them to suicide warning signs and provide them

with information about how to make a

meaningful action and seek help for

themselves or for others. Our goal is for people

to make informed and rational decisions when they are at their lowest point.

**Shuttleworth Foundation

1. The idea that it is people who change the world for the better

2. That if we are rigorously open about ideas and practices, more people will copy them and make the world a better place in a shorter period of time.

3. We provide funding for dynamic leaders who are at the forefront of social change.

With Hope1. With Hope to change the world for the

better by raising awareness and helping to prevent future suicides

2. With Hope reaches out to the community in a number of ways, they hold a multitude of events that reach out to students with lectures and also educate community leaders and school staff. Through this process we raise awareness and give people the education to reach out and make a difference in someone else’s life.

3. Annette Craig (ambers mom) is the Chairman of With hope and she is definitely a dynamic leader. When Amber took her own life, she stepped up to the plate and really focused everything she had into preventing another mom from feeling the pain of losing her own child, when it could have been prevented.

Page 15: With Hope by Lance Laborde

*4. We identify amazing

people, give them a fellowship grant, and multiply the money they put into their projects by a factor of ten or more.

5. We are looking for social innovators who are helping to change the world for the better and are looking for some support through an innovative social investment model.

4. Annette Craig is definitely an amazing person no one is questioning that. With Hope obtains all of its money for funding solely on events, and we need this fellowship grant to obtain money for our new clothing campaign. With the Shuttleworth Foundation’s help we can definitely aggrandizeour foundations money raising ability

5. With Hope wants nothing more than to make the world better, suicide is a tragedy that can be prevented. We need the Shuttleworth foundation’s support in order to grow outside of our community and increase awareness.

2.You can volunteer.

3.You can buy a candle from the With Hope shop

4.You can attend a With Hope event.

5.Or you can just simply reach out to someone

**Suicide is the most selfish way to leave

this Earth. It is selfish because you are

not only hurting yourself but you hurt

everybody that you know and love.

When you die you want people to have

a positive connotation when they think

about you, for them to remember all of

the good times you had with the them.

But when you commit suicide, you do

the opposite, your memory evokes

sadness.

Page 18: With Hope by Lance Laborde

**My best friend Bianca played soccer with Amber and

was very close to her. Through her, I witnessed how

suicide effects others. Every time someone jokes

about suicide, or says that they want to kill

themselves jokingly, it always effects her. Every

time I can see the pain in her eyes, she is reminded

of Amber. She remembers the moment she heard

the news, her funeral, her friend gone forever. I

never realized the real gravity of what suicide does

to other people until I met her, and that is why I

support With Hope.
