Wish List Spreadsheet – Microsoft Excel ICT – Digital Technologies. Mr Suter By using Microsoft Excel, you will create a spreadsheet with six items you would like to buy. You will use four columns with headings as shown in the picture below. The items shown are only an example. You will need to add your own items. STEP BY STEP INSTRUCTIONS: 1. Open Microsoft Excel and create a new blank workbook (spreadsheet). 2. Add the title of each column in row 1. Fill this row with a colour (e.g. yellow) 3. Find the price of six items you would like to add to your wish list. Type in the name and price of each item. 4. Highlight the B column by click on “B”. Change the format of these cells from ‘General’ to ‘Currency’. 5. Do the same with the D column. Change it to ‘Currency’. 6. Add numbers to the Quantity column – the C column (you can’t use a 1). 7. Add the title ‘Sum total’ to the cell C9. ADDING THE FORMULAS: 8. Highlight cell D2. Type the following into the text box (see red arrow below): =b2*c2 The asterix (SHIFT 8), means to multiply. 9. The multiplication of B2 and C2 should now appear in D2.

10. When D2 is selected, a blue box appears around it. Click in the blue dot at the bottom rightcorner of this blue box and drag it down to D7. This will copy the same multiplication formula toshow the total of each row from 2 down to 7.

11. Highlight cell D9. Type the following into the text box (see blue arrow below): =SUM(d2:d8)This will add all the cells from D2 to D8.

12. Save your work.13. Use Google Chrome to login to your email.14. Follow the link in the email from me about this assignment.15. Upload your completed file to Google Classroom.
