For remote connectivity thru Internet, what do we r equire?
First of all, we require a Broadband connection with a Static IP from the Internet Service Provider. A monthly charge is levied for the usage, depending on the nature of the ISP.
Please find below the steps in connecting Wiser to internet.
Go to “Configure Router” on Wiser;
Step 1)
In the “Setup” option, there is a sub option “Basic Setup”. Please find below the desired settings.
Static IP provided by ISP
Step 2)
For LAN Connectivity, we need a local IP address. We can also specify the IP address range and the no. of users using Wiser. For Eg- Refer below
Step 3)
For WI-FI, In the “Wireless” settings, under “Basic Wireless Settings” please do the following settings.
Step 4)
How to Connect IP devices to Wiser Home Controller?
IP devices for e.g., IP camera Axis 206 can be connected to Wiser by providing a “Static IP” to the IP device. In the camera setup, use the option static IP and put the IP address in the provided space. The IP should be in line with the IP range of Wiser (as shown below).
In Wiser you are required to put a URL (which is mentioned in the camera settings). In this case for Axis206, the URL is “http://<IP address>/axis-cgi/jpg/image.cgi ”

Integrating IR Remotes to C-Bus thru NIRT module
Integrating IR Remotes to C-Bus thru NIRT module
Choose an appliance with IR remote to be integrated to C-Bus.
Read the IR codes of the remote by using the IR code learning unit 5100RP & “IR Reader ”software
You can choose from existing codes if it is a branded remote or you can define the codes by naming them.
How to learn the codes;
Step 1) Connect the IR Leaning Unit to the Laptop and open software “IR reader”.
Step 2) Select the remote and put the specifications on the left hand side.
Step 3) Follow the instructions in the pop-up:
Step 4) IR Code protocol is captured
Step 5) Define each button by naming them and learning thru IR learning unit
Step 6) Connect your NIRT module to your Laptop and open CIRCA software
Step 7) Open the existing project that you have saved in the IR reader, for e.g.
Step 8) Add your C-Bus Groups and transfer it to the NIRT unit
Step 9) Once it is transferred, you can use your C-Bus module to activate the remote application.
Step 10) IR emitter lead has to be placed on the IR port of the receiver unit for eg; TV, DVD etc.
By following the given steps you can integrate C-Bu s NIRT module with your Keypad for your IR remote application
