Growing up was a struggle, I was not the smartest in the class but I always find my way to passed the exam (if you know what I mean)

The word” English” is something I was born with an allergy as I grew up in a city where English is not the native language, I'm too shy to talk even to converse with our foreign visitors, I was so naïve back then that I am willing to die than to speak English yet, I love to hear people talking in such language it greed me deep within…

I always remember the time when I can't find someone to help me with my assignment so I asked my grandmother for assistance and only to found out that I got zero on my homework:

The very next day after school, I told grandma, I don't want to go to school anymore!! It traumatized me to see zero score on my assignment.

And that's where I started to dream and promised myself that I will learn ENGLISH in anyway possible.

Been into blogging for many years now, it granted many opportunities for me as a person and a simple individual, I did not blog for fame or money, I blog because I wanted to learn and fulfill my dream to write

So here I am writing my heart out!! I may not be a good writer but at least I've given myself a chance to try and experience failures.

But you know what!! It feels great, Everyday is a learning process so never give up!! There's no harm in trying coz there's magic in believing.

ABOUT

Typhoon Yolanda, considered one of the strongest typhoons ever recorded, made landfall in the Philippines early on November 8, sweeping the central Visayas island group.

Images of houses damaged, large trees uprooted, and swelling waves caused by storm surges towering as high as 16 feet have occupied international and local headlines.

An estimated 25 million people are aected in Visayas and Luzon alone. Many have been displaced, especially in Bohol, where about 5,000 families remain temporarily sheltered in make-shift tents following the recent quake.

especially when its time for our little ones to be in school on their own, the question is, how do we prepare our kids? How do we protect them?? During my school days, Bullying is not even a word to begin with, I can't even compare how safe we are before than today; the very worst is here in this generation, due to the progress of technology that everything can be learned with just a click, Kids these days are very smart that sometimes I lose control of how they are able to turn the things upside down..

Parenting:BullyingParents can only give good advice or

put them on the right paths, but the nal forming of a person's character lies in

their own hands. ― Anne Frank

Since, I became a mother everything to me is a learning process, I really want to be a better mom, but it's hard because what I have inside of me is a memory of a lonely child.. I was a product of a broken family and I did not think of myself less than any other kids, yes!! People judged and I was bullied for the things I have no control, it was a painful childhood and yet I have used every pain to built that condence in me,

Great inventors are born normal just like anyone else but they professed

themselves and learned to be great. Same as bullies, they're not born bullies

but people made them to be one!!!One of many things we, parents feared is bullying, we always want our kids to be safe but we cannot control things

What are the signs that your kidis being bullied or the bully one:

Bully victim eect checklist:

1.) Unexplainable pain and injuries, headaches, stomachache2.) Faking illness3.) Lost or destroyed things like books, clothing, gadgets and anything alike4.) Loss of appetite and interest in school5.) Avoidance to people6.) Depression7.) Decrease in self-esteem8.) Sleepless and frequent nightmares

The bully checklist:

1.) Friends with the naughty ones2.) Parents always received complain calls from school and other parents3.) Aggressive4.) Disrespectful5.) Always have new belonging and extra cash6.) Insensitive/ hardheaded

How do we preventand prepare our kids

1. ...Open communication Always provide space and an open line for your kids to speak, be a friend, don't judge and be a good listener to them, Let the kids feel that they have the parents who are willing to listen to them in whatever things they want to share.

2...Socialization Kids who are socially exposed have a lower risk of being a victim, enroll your kids in any interesting activities, let them mingle with other kids , provide them the condence in socialization.

3...Spanky Habit It is ok to get angry with your kids because children by nature will test us into our limits and giving them a little spank is one way to keep them in the proper phase, but don't make it a habit to spank them whenever they are mistakenSpank causes a small gap into our relationship with our kids and making it a habit will widen the gap and kids will eventually immune into the system and no longer feel the pain and fear, resulting to brat and bully child.

4...Power of hug and LoveThe simplest human touch, A hug is simple gesture of love that kids would always have that feeling of comfort, security, joy and contentment.

5...Spend Time Make it a habit to spend time with your kids even in your busy days, remember, such little time would mean so much to them. We, parents can only hope for the safety of our kids and keep them forever but letting go and let them experience the world would able them to be strong and be prepared in the future, spend time , shower them with love and comfort as it is their weapon against this cruel world.

" You may give them your love but not your thoughts,"

For they have their own thoughts.

You may house their bodies but not their souls,

For thir souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.

You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.

For life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.

You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth.

The archer sees the make upon the path of the infinite, and He bends you with His might that His

arrows may go swift and far.

Let your bending in the archer's hand be for gladness.

For even as He loves the arrow that ies, so He also loves the bow that is stable.”

Family Friendly Resto in Kuwait

Dining out is sometimes becoming a torture to me specially when I have 3 kids to look after, nanny might come in handy but things are sometimes out of hand, other customers may understand the nature of kids but beyond that, it is always inconvenient to see kids running around and break things

But as a mother, I always look at the fundamentals, that kids are also human and it is a necessity to bring them outside of the house as they are bound to explore and play, we might not want the trouble but we can always try to keep them behave or distract them with toys or anything that will grab their attention, or simply go to a restaurant that oers a child and family friendly environment

In Kuwait, there are many restaurants furnished the idea of family friendly service but few actually do and take everything into consideration, when I say consideration, dine in and worry less bout kid's safety and tantrums. Here are few convenient places to dine with kids in Kuwait

1.) IKEA Restaurant ( at the avenues mall)2.) Burger King ( salmiya sea side) 3.) McDonalds ( sea side)4.) Hard rock Café5.) The Food world -- the avenues mall

Would be best to keep the list long for other parents to know, so if you are in Kuwait and know places that are in the above category do send me a mail at [email protected]

Highly creative

people tend to be non-conformists who do their own things irrespective of the crowd. Some

purposely go against popular trends in order to demonstrate their uniqueness and creativity.

Others, often those who are most creative, often seem blithely unaware of the

crowd, so focused are they on doing their own things.

I can't even narrow when it all started, the last time I have my sele post is like an hour ago and still doing some more.

This year marks the craziest craze in the World Wide Web regardless of your age, race, religion, pretty or not, we love the SELFIE trend,.

Recently, the word "Sele" has been named as word of the year by Oxford Dictionaries in 2013.

Bits of "Selfie" Historyfrom Wikipedia:The term "sele" was discussed by photographer Jim Krause in 2005, although photos in the sele genre predate the widespread use of the term.

In the early 2000s, before Facebook became the dominant online social network, self-taken photographs were particularly common on MySpace.

dailymail.co

"SELFIE" is the Word of the year 2013

However, writer Kate Losse recounts that between 2006 and 2009 (when Facebook became more popular than MySpace), the "MySpace pic" (typically "an amateurish, ash-blinded self-portrait, often taken in front of a bathroom mirror") became an indication of bad taste for users of the newer Facebook social network.

Early Facebook portraits, in contrast, were usually well-focused and more formal, taken by others from distance. In 2009 in the image hosting and video hosting website Flickr, Flickr users used 'seles' to describe seemingly endless self-portraits posted by teenage girls.

According to Losse, improvements in technologyespecially the front-facing camera introduced in the iPhone-4 (2010) and mobile photo apps such as

Instagramled to the resurgence of seles in the early 2010s. Initially popular with young people, seles have become popular among adults as well.

In December 2012, Time magazine noted that sele was among its the "top 10 buzzwords" of 2012; although seles had existed for years, it was in 2012 that the term "really hit the big time

According to a 2013 survey, two-thirds of Australian women age 18-35 take selesthe most common purpose for which is posting on Facebook.A poll commissioned by smartphone and camera maker Samsung found that seles make of 30% of the photos taken by people aged 1824.

By 2013, the word "sele" had become commonplace enough to be monitored for inclusion in the online version of the Oxford English Dictionary. In November 2013, the word "sele" was announced as being the "word of the year" by the Oxford English Dictionary .

Collection of Creative IdeasPlaces to gobefore you die:

No matter how advanced our cities and technology is, eventually we get tired of all the noise, stress and crowd of the city and want to be in the nature.

Humans have transformed Earth beyond recovery, but luckily not everything is lost yet. Beautiful mountains, blue water lakes, magnificent oceans with fabulous islands – our planet has many breathtaking places and awe-inspiring sceneries just waiting for you to discover them.

However, life is short, and the funds are limited, so we have to narrow down the selection. The following are just few of the places I wanted to be.

Son Doong cave in Vietnam is world's largest cave, located in Quang Binh province, Vietnam. It is found by a local man in 1991 and was recently discovered in 2009 by British cavers, led by Howard Limbert.

The name "Son Doong" cave means "mountain river cave", It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain Where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights

It was created 2-5 million years ago by river water eroding away the limestone underneath the mountain where the limestone was weak, the ceiling collapsed creating huge skylights. Son Doong cave is more than 200 meters wide, 150 meters high, and approx 9 kilometers long, with caverns big enough to t an entire city street inside them, twice as large as Deer Cave in Malaysia (currently considered the world's largest with 90 meters wide, 100 meters high and 2 kilometers long).

Son Doong cave was classied as the largest cave in the world by BCRA (British Cave Research Association) and selected as one of the most beautiful in the globe by the BBC news

Boracay is a tropical island surrounded by stunning white sand beaches about an hour's ight from Cebu or Manila just o the larger Philippines island of Panay.

For beach connoisseurs it competes with the best beaches of more popular destinations such as the Caribbean and the South Pacic as well as neighbouring Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia.

For those wanting to just lounge around and top up their tan, beach-front hotels usually have lounge chairs set up just a few steps away from the hotel entrances. The more active will appreciate water sports and activities such as sailing, wind surng, snorkelling, diving and jet skiing.

The fun in Boracay doesn't end when the sun sets. Boracay night-life pulsates with many bars and restaurants serving food, drink and fun until dawn.

digital print in

FASHIONThe greatest difference between digital printing

and traditional methods such as lithography,

exography, gravure, or letterpress is that there is

no need to replace printing plates in digital

printing, whereas in analog printing the plates are

repeatedly replaced. This results in quicker

turnaround time and lower cost when using digital

printing, but typically a loss of some fine-image

detail by most commercial digital printing

processes.

The most popular methods include inkjet or laser

printers that deposit pigment or toner onto a wide

variety of substrates including paper, photo paper,

canvas, glass, metal, marble, and other substances.

In many of the processes, the ink or toner does not

permeate the substrate, as does conventional ink,

but forms a thin layer on the surface that may be

additionally adhered to the substrate by using a

fuser uid with heat process (toner) or UV curing

process (ink).

How cool is that??!! People continue to innovate

and fashion continues to discover colorful trends

and real-like print design.

Over and over again we left perplexed by the outbreak of spots in different areas of the face. That sometimes we questioned ourselves, if Is it hormone-related? or Did I miss my five-a-day?

Today, I just read about this wonderful information which was a practice from long long time, The ancient art of face mapping can help you identify the cause of your blemishes by splitting the face into several sections such as forehead, chin and nose and understanding the different 'zones'.

1 & 2: Digestive System Eat less processed or junk food, reduce the amount of fat in your diet, step up water intake and opt for cooling things like cucumbers.

3: Liver Cut out the alcohol, greasy food and dairy. This is the zone where food allergies also show up rst, so take a look at your ingredients. Besides all this, do 30 minutes of light exercise every day and get adequate sleep so your liver can rest.

4 & 5: Kidneys Anything around the eyes (including dark circles) point to dehydration. Drink up!

6: Heart Check your blood pressure (mine was slightly high) and Vitamin B levels. Decrease the intake of spicy or pungent food, cut down on meat and get more fresh air. Besides this, look into ways to lower cholesterol, like replacing bad fats with good fats such as Omegas 3 and 6 found in nuts, avocados, sh and ax seed. Also, since this area is chock-full of dilated pores, check that your makeup is not past its expiry date or is skin-clogging.

7 & 8: Kidneys Again, drink up! And cut down on aerated drinks, coee and alcohol as these will cause further dehydration.

Zone 9 & 10: Respiratory system Do you smoke? Have allergies? This is your problem area for both. If neither of

these is the issue, don't let your body overheat, eat more cooling foods, cut down on sugar and get more fresh air. Also keep the body more alkaline by avoiding foods that make the body acidic (meat, dairy, alcohol, caeine, sugar) and adding

more alkalizing foods like green veggies and wheatgrass juice. Another thing that most of forget dirty cell phones

and pillow cases are two of the top acne culprits and this area is what they aect the most!

11 & 12: Hormones This is the signature zone for stress and hormonal changes. And while both are sometimes unavoidable, you can decrease their eect by getting adequate sleep, drinking enough water, eating leafy veggies and keeping skin scrupulously clean. Another interesting point: breakouts in this area indicate when you are ovulating (and on which side).

13: Stomach Step up the bre intake, reduce the toxin overload and drink herbal teas

to help with digestion.

14: Illness Zits here can be a sign that your body is ghting bacteria to avoid illness. Give

it a break, take a yoga class, take a nap, take time to breathe deeply, drink plenty of water and know that everything always

works out!

So the next time you break out or notice dark under-eye circles, look to your face map: your skin is probably trying to communicate on behalf of the internal organs. However, do remember that, as with all medical issues,

It is always best to see your doctor or dermatologist for a proper prognosis. This is just a general guide to head you off in the right investigative direction – just because you break out between the brows doesn't always mean you have a bad liver!

Hyundai Empower :

LEAD a HEALTHY FAMILYI was at the palms hotel last night to attend the Hyundai empower Healthy Family lifestyle, such a good initiative for the people behind the free program as Kuwait really need something like this to empower and start living in a healthy lifestyle.

According to Mr. Yousef Alqanai one of the lead speaker, Kuwait tops the most number of obesity rates in the world based on the ratio of 70% of men and 80% for women with a dangerously raising diabetes condition as early as 9 years old, I was certainly saddened by the information, knowing that kids of this country are very prone to diabetes

and died before their parents , it is an alarming process for me, my kids are living in the same state and it is possible to us (my family) to adopt the habit.

health because with good health they can enjoy what we parents worked for and achieve everything!!

The seminar has open my eyes in a new world of healthy lifestyle, Im a soda addict to be honest, but somehow, learning about the facts and the things that may aect my kids thru my vices feared me the most, as what Ms. Sara Al-Kandari also one of the speaker, a clinical dietitian said the best gift we can give to our kids is

The seminar was indeed a wonderful start and Im so glad to have taken the chances of being there.
