Burial followed at Justin Cemetery.Adams died Saturday, Aug. 17, 2002, in Decatur.Born June 18, 1915, in Justin, to Ben and Bertha Peterson, she was a lifelong resident ofJustin. She was a graduate of Texas Woman’s University. She married the late Leo Adams,former mayor of Justin, on Dec. 26, 1935. They owned the Justin Lumber Company for 30years and were responsible for the development of the Adams Addition where they designedand built many homes in the Haslet and Justin area. Adams was the last surviving chartermember of the Twentieth Century Study Club of Justin which was organized in 1938.
