Wireless Printing @ HKUL (Mac)

Installation Guide

Note: Install the appropriate driver for your selected printer. Once installed, print jobs can be

sent to the same model, pending the input of the appropriate address (in Step 10).

Please make sure your PC is connected to “Universities WiFi”, “eduroam” or “HKU”.

1. Go to www.ricoh.com.hk/en/downloads.aspx

Click Download Drivers.

2. Enter appropriate printer model (See the table below) in the search field (5502A / 7001).

Then, select the printer model from Search results (Aficio MP C5502A / Aficio MP 7001).

3. Choose the Mac OS version of your Macbook.

4. Click on the Download button against your Mac OS version.

5. Extract the driver (.dmg) files and double click the .pkg file.

6. Follow the on-screen instructions to install the driver.

7. When installation is complete, click Close.

8. Go to System Preferences, and then select Printers & Scanners.

9. Click the + button to set up a Wi-Fi printer.

10. (a) Select the IP menu.

(b) Fill in the Address for the corresponding printer. (See table below)

(c) Choose the appropriate printer model against Use. (See table below)

For AFICIO MP5502A: For AFICIO MP7001:

11. (a) In the Add window, select Lower

Paper Trays from Option Tray.

(b) Click OK.

11. Click OK.

(d) Click Add to continue.
