ST-979 User Manual September 27, 2007 Page 1 of 7 Wireless MP3 Voice Calling-number Device User Manual Model: ST-979 This is a simple and practical wireless calling-number device. After using keyboard inputs numbers that users need, and numbers can be transmitted to the corresponding receiving terminal by wireless technology; receiving terminal has real-time display function, and at the same time uses MP3 voice to call numbers; support any languages in the world, and applying IP address division can control many receiving terminals, and thereby composes calling-number system. This calling-number display can be applied any places that need calling-number. Characteristics ST-979T sending terminal is composed of number keyboard and signal-sending screen. ST-979R receiving terminal is a LED display (receiving screen) in general that can display three numbers. Users can add in two sets of LED indicator lights used to remind calling on both sides of display. Apply high brightness red LED digital screen. Standard display screen can display three digits at most, the maximum is “999”. Apply the standard keyboard of PS2 interface, and the other keyboards that are identical interface with PS2 are acceptable. Internal MP3 voice, single channel output. Voice is clear, supports any languages in the world, and can be upgraded infinitely through connecting with computer. Real people voice and voice sources can be revised at any time. 96 steps volume adjustments. Can use speaker and internal buzzer as sound reminding device. Connecting in series LED display screens can compose many kinds of systems calling numbers synchronously. Adopting IP address division can connect two hundred pieces of ST-979R receiving screens at the same time. Adopting the aluminum alloy square outer covering of the bar-like integration or combination composes signal-receiving screen. Black cover, external form is beautiful. Apply 315MHz high frequency wireless communication and can realize 100 meters unobstructed communication. Can choose FM RDS wireless transmission mode, and can transmit audio at the same time and support sending-terminal with mike real-time calling number function. Can choose various LED display screens such as green, yellow, and blue, white. Adopt +24V power supply. Volume is small; weight is light; operation is very simple; installation is easy; the important thing is that it is practical and cheap.

This is a simple and practical wireless calling-number device. Connection mode Introduction of The Receiving Terminal

Connection modes of the receiving terminal are as follows:

a) Serial connection way: Link mutually between the receiving terminals, and within effective receiving range, the maximum can connect in series 200 receiving terminals, if a receiving terminal only have a receiving screen.

The serial connection mode diagram b) Single receiving terminal is used independently: A receiving terminal connects with a power supply; Do

not link mutually between the receiving terminals; Within effective receiving range, the maximum can install in parallel 200 receiving terminals, if a receiving terminal only have a receiving screen.

c) A receiving terminal is composed of two ST-979R receiving screens: Both sides of a receiving terminal

can display digits and call numbers. According to the customer's needs, reverse and obverse sides of a receiving terminal can call identical numbers at the same time and can be used respectively through adjusting its IP.

Instructions of Operation ⑴ keyboard

a) Instructions that a Sending Terminal Only Controls a Piece of Receiving Screen

Basic Function Keys 1) Keyboard connects with signal-sending screen, and the digital signals that have been inputted are

displayed directly on the signal-sending screen. 2) Number keys of the keyboard are used to input digital signals, and every display screen can display

three digits at most, the maximum is “999”. 3) “ESC” can remove all display contents of the signal-receiving screen for one time merely. 4) “CLEAR” is used to clear up the display contents of the signal-sending screen respectively from unit

to hundred's place.

Control Keys 1) Control keys of the receiving screen are F1, F2, and F3. User may choose one from F1, F2, F3 at

will as control key that is used to control receiving screen. 2) For example, assume that user choose F1 as control key. After inputting digital signals that user need,

if users press F1, receiving screen will receive signals and call numbers, if press F2 or F3, receiving screen don’t respond. Choosing F2 or F3 is similar to this.

Only when the IP of control key chosen is identical with receiving screen’s IP, the key chosen can control receiving screen.

According to users’ needs, users can make the IP of F1, F2, and F3 identical with receiving screen. In this case, three keys all can control receiving screen. Regarding IP setting of control keys, please refer to the operation methods of IP setting key F6.

Because volume adjustment key F4 only controls the receiving screen that has identical IP with F1, so, when a sending terminal only controls a piece of receiving screen, we suggest that user choose F1 as control key.

IP Setting Key

1) F6 is IP setting key. Using it can respectively adjust the IP of F1, F2, and F3 to fit in with receiving screen’s IP.

2) Methods of operation: First, after pressing F6, “F-”will be displayed immediately on the signal-sending screen; Then choose one from F1, F2, and F3 at will and the key chosen is displayed directly on the

sending screen; for example, if user choose F1, “F1” will be displayed on the sending screen; Finally, choose values that user need directly and press “ENTER” to confirm information.

3) Attention: the adjustable range of IP is 1 to 199.

Language Selection Key 1) F5 is used to choose language. This function supports any languages in the world, and users can

customize any languages according to the actual needs. 2) At present, there are three kinds of languages: Mandarin, English, and Cantonese. 3) Methods of operation:

First, press F5, at this moment “PR” will be displayed immediately on the signal-sending screen;

And then choose numbers : a. Select language: 1 means Cantonese; 2 means Mandarin; 3 means English;4 and 5 mean

there is no sound when calling, and just blink.); b. Adding 1 in front of language selection can add beep tone before calling, foe instance set

F5 to 13, there is a beep tone before English calling, the rest may be deduced by analogy, but if set F5 to 14 or 15, there is only beep tone and no calling.

c. Adding 2 in front of language selection can add music tone before calling, foe instance set F5 to 23, there is a music tone before English calling, the rest may be deduced by analogy, but if set F5 to 24 or 25, there is only music tone and no calling

Finally, press “ENTER” to confirm information. After operating successfully, signal-sending screen and signal-receiving screen will display

“PR-”at the same time. For example, if the digit number confirmed is 2, “PR2” will be displayed.

Volume Adjustment Key

1) F4 is used to control volume, and has 96 steps volume adjustment at most. 2) Methods of operation:

First, after pressing F4,“VOL” will be displayed immediately on the signal-sending screen; And then input digital volume that user need (0 to 96);

Finally, press “ENTER” to confirm information. After adjusting successfully, signal-sending screen and signal-receiving screen will display

“P—” at the same time. For example, if the volume confirmed is 75, “P75” will be displayed.

b) Instructions that A Sending Terminal Controls Many pieces of Receiving Screens At the Same Time

Basic Function Keys

1) Keyboard connects with signal-sending screen, and the digital signals that have been inputted are displayed directly on the signal-sending screen.

2) Number keys of the keyboard are used to input digital signals, and every display screen can display three digits at most, the maximum is “999”.

3) “ESC” can remove all display contents of signal-receiving screens for one time merely. After pressing ESC, the display contents of all signal-receiving screens will be removed at the same time.

4) The functions and methods of operation of “CLEAR” and F5 are identical with description mentioned above.

Control Keys

1) F1, F2, and F3 are the control keys of receiving screens, and control respectively a corresponding receiving screen that has identical IP with F1, F2, and F3 respectively.

2) After inputting digital signals that user need, if users press F1, receiving screen that has identical IP with F1 will receive signals and call numbers. Pressing F2 or F3 is similar this.

3) Before controlling receiving screens, user must set the IP of F1, F2, and f3 successfully according to operation methods of IP setting key F6, namely, make its IP identical with the IP of receiving screens that need to be controlled. For more information, please refer to operation methods of IP setting key F6.

IP Setting Key

1) F6 is an IP setting key. Using it can adjust the IP of F1, F2, and F3 to fit in with receiving screens’ IP in turn.

2) Methods of operation: First, after pressing F6, “F-” will be displayed immediately on the signal-sending screen; Then choose one from F1, F2, and F3 at will, and the key chosen will be displayed directly on

the sending screen, for example, if user choose F1, “F1” will be displayed on the sending screen;

Finally, choose values directly that user need and press “ENTER” to confirm information. When one or many receiving terminals have many pieces of receiving screens that have

different IP respectively, user can control different receiving screens through adjusting the IP of F1, F2 and F3 respectively.

For example, F1’s IP is 5, but now user need F1 to control the receiving screen that IP is 6. Therefore, resetting the IP of F1 is necessary; namely, make the IP of F1 identical with receiving screen that IP is 6.

Repeating operation in turn, F1, F2, and F3 can control many pieces of receiving screens respectively.

3) Attention: If user adopt the serial connection mode, the adjustable range of IP is 200 to 255; The rest is

1~199.

Volume Adjustment Key 1) The basic functions and methods of operation of the F4 are the same as description mentioned

above. 2) Attention:

F4 only can adjust the volume of receiving screen that has identical IP with F1. If the other receiving screens need to adjust volume, user can make the IP of F1 identical with

receiving screens that need to adjust volume in turn, and then operate it according to the methods of operation of F4.

For example, F1’s IP is 5, but now receiving screen that IP is 6 needs to adjust volume. Well then, First of all, the IP of F1 needs to be reset, namely, make the IP of F1 identical with receiving screen that IP is 6(Please refer to the operation methods of F6); in the next place, operate it according to the methods of operation of F4.

⑵ ST-979T Signal-Sending Screen

Display digital signals that have been inputted. Jacks on the left connect with power supply and keyboard respectively. aerial installed on the right is used to send signals. Adopt black square outer covering. Internal high brightness LED digital screens.

⑶ ST-979R Signal-Receiving Screen

Receives and displays digital signals. Receiving screen is composed of three pieces of LED digital screens, and can display three digits at

most. In addition, users can order the LED digital screen that can display six digits at most. Can add in 21 one-color diodes respectively on both sides of the single LED display screen. When

receiving screen is calling, these diodes can display color and blink at the same time. Jack on the left is used to connect with power supply. Aerial on the left is used to receive signals from sending screen. After receiving confirmation information, high brightness LED and internal speaker will display

digits and call numbers. Adopting black outside frame, external form is beautiful. Has internal MP3 voice and supports any languages in the world. Single channel outputs calling signals and voice is clear. Connecting with computer can be upgraded infinitely. Can be installed at long bowls and realize 100 meters unobstructed communication.

⑷ Fittings

◆ Attention Must be Paid to The Following

a) It is acceptable that many people control respectively or synchronously corresponding signal-receiving

screens with F1, F2, and F3. But each operation should be at least two seconds intervals, in order to avoid unnecessary interference with the information.

b) When a sending terminal controls many receiving screens, user must confirm that each receiving screen has different IP. Or receiving screens that have identical IP will call the same digital signals at the same time. If receiving screens that have identical IP are found, the IP key on the reverse of receiving screens can revise identical IP respectively.
