1. Introduce NRCS Technical Release 60 (TR-60) criteria for developing structure design hydrographs.

2. How to input data for Principal Spillway, Stability Design, and Freeboard storms to the Win-TR20 computer program.

3. How to develop PS, SD, and FB hydrographs for import to the WinDAM computer program.

What is TR-60 ?

TR-60 includes criteria for designing dams.

The latest version is 2005.

Specifically of interest to hydrologists are criteria for selection of rainfall amount for the design storms.

TR-60 includes a detailed list of data sources for locations in the United States.

NOAA Atlas 14 is typical data source for 100-year precipitation if available.

NOAA Hydrometeorological Series Reports (HMR) are typical data sources for probable maximum precipitation (PMP) if available.
