Winter Wonderland OrnamentsAppliqué Instructions

1. Hoop your fabric and backing.2. Sew the placement stitch. PHOTO 13. Place a piece of appliqué fabric over the placement stitch so that it is completely covered.4. Sew the cut line & tackdown.5. InstructionsWinter Wonderland Ornaments

Supplies needed:• 10 x 15 stiff felt• 10 x 15 white Heavyweight Cut Away• Scrap of fabric for appliqué• 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray• Isacord embroidery thread• OESD Bobbin Thread

Instructions• Gather supplies. PHOTO 01• Begin by hooping the heavyweight cut away stabilizer. PHOTO 02• Load the hoop in the machine and stitch the placement guide for the

felt. PHOTO 03• Using 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray, place the felt over top the

stabilizer, covering the placement guide. PHOTO 04• Follow the sequence on the thread chart. If appliqué is included,

stitch the appliqué placement stitch. Lightly spray the back of the appliqué fabric with 505 temporary adhesive spray and place over the placement stitch. PHOTO 05

• Stitch the next color change, which is the cut line and tackdown. Trim the appliqué fabric as closely as possible to the cut line. PHOTO 06

• Continue stitching the design, stopping before the next to the last color before proceeding.

• Prior to the next to last color, place the felt on the back of the hoop, using 505 Temporary Adhesive Spray. PHOTO 07

• Stitch the next to last color, which is a seam stitch to hold the front and back felt pieces together. Use matching bobbin thread.

• Stitch the final color, which is a cutting guide. PHOTO 08• Trim any jump stitches.• Remove the hoop from the machine. Remove the stabilizer from

the hoop. Cut away the design just inside the final cutting guide. PHOTO 09

• Add a decorative hanger and display your ornament. PHOTO 10
