Testing their mettle

To help ensure uncompromised performance and strength, Audi Genuine Alloy Wheels are subjected to a rigorous battery of tests, which includes:

• Curve rotation testing: An endurance test of cornering performance to help verify structural integrity and casting quality.

• Radial impact and ridge testing: Simulates lateral impacts with curbs and vertical impacts with potholes. An essential test of performance on rough and uneven roads.

• Acid, salt and extreme-climate testing: Multilayer paint and protective coatings are exposed to harsh UV, weather and corrosive forces to ensure their integrity even under severe conditions.

• Regulatory compliance testing: Helps ensure that Audi Genuine Alloy Wheels meet U.S. Government requirements.

4 The program is administered by NUI of Florida, Inc. Coverage ends at the earlier of: (1) expiration of 24 months from date of purchase; or (2) when 3/32" or less of tread remains. Coverage is 100% of the current retail price of the tire in the first year; 50% in the second year. Does not include any other costs including but not limited to mounting, balancing, wheel weights, shop supplies, taxes, disposal fees, environmental fees, tire pressure sensors, and/or valve stems. Complimentary Road Hazard Coverage4

Audi Winter Wheel & Tire Packages come with 24 months of Road Hazard Coverage against tire damage caused by poorly maintained roads or debris. Coverage is prorated annually for 100% of the replacement cost the first year, 50% of the replacement cost the second year.

Your Audi Winter Wheel & Tire Package includes a set of complimentary Audi Tire Totes. They make it easier to transport dismounted wheels and tires, and help protect them during off-season storage. See dealer for details.

Tires are supplied and warranted by their manufacturer. To assist you in obtaining warranty information for tires, a list of manufactures are provided in your Audi Warranty & Maintenance Booklet, which is included in your owner’s manual packet. Certain winter tires have a lower profile that aids performance and handling. Driving over rough or damaged road surfaces, as well as debris, curbs and other obstacles can cause serious damage to wheels, tires, vehicle body and suspension parts. Be careful to avoid road hazards and reduce your speed, especially if your vehicle is equipped with low-profile tires.
