Our Chaplain is out of commission with knee surgery. WB Scott Penvose
has agreed to fill in for Mike while he is recuperating.

FROM THE SOUTH
Brothers,
If you did not attend the Master Mason outdoor degree on 02/20/16, you
missed a historical event. It was the first ever outdoor degree at Mokanna’
s new site, with thee different lodges participating. It was an extra special
day for me because I had the privilege of raising my 18 year old son
(Connor) to the sublime degree of Master Mason. We also had a great turn
out for our third Thursday’s supper. Which brings us to the menu for
March’s 17th’s meal. Our DDGM, R:. W:. Goolsby has requested
Shepard Pie for his official visit in observance of St. Patrick's Day, which just happens to fall
on the same day. Along with the Shepard Pie, we will be enjoying fresh dinner rolls, a side
salad and of course, desert. Everyone is welcome, bring the family and friends for some
great fellowship. The meal starts at 6:30 with our stated Lodge meeting to follow at 7:30
sharp. Look forward to seeing you soon!

My Brothers,
Another Month in history and a good one as well. Congratulation to the
three EA's who became our brothers on Feb 17, 2016. Now its time to go
to work. Also a total of six brothers were raised to the sublime degree of
MM, of which three were our own. We had a very large turn-out. I en‐
courage all to get involved. Masters and Wardens meeting March 5, 2016
at Orange Blossom 80. ME &MLT at Winter Park Feb 29 2016. Come out
and get involved with Lodge work. Scottish Rite reunion 9 and 10 April if
you want to join see any Scottish Rite Mason.

FROM THE EAST
As the Earth continues is cycle around the sun, we find ourselves approaching day‐
light savings time and hopefully more evening daylight will bring more members
into the lodge. What a great month February was. Two of my most moving mason‐
ic moments to date are a result of traveling in February. The first as a district com‐
mitteeman visiting Orlando 69. First we got a marvelous comparison of Canada/US
masonry from our visitors RW Trotter and VW Pohl. But we also had the moment
for the entire lodge to gather around a healing brother and pray for him. My sec‐
ond moment was a proud one at the combined Master Mason Outdoor degree at
Mokanna. A first time use of the space, an outdoor degree, three lodges with
brothers being raised should have been enough. Add to that Mokanna did the first section and
opened the lodge, Winter Garden did the Fellowcrafts and closed the lodge made it that much
better. The bow-tie on the event was having three family members raising their family all attended by
19 members of our lodge. Congrats new Master Masons Everson, Arthur, and Gibson. There are so
many benefits to traveling.
Speaking of traveling, ten of us went to Mokanna and got the gavel which has been reclaimed by
them. Lets see if it moves to another lodge or if we need to bring it back west. Lots of great things
already planned for March. Plan on traveling to your lodge to show your support, spread the brother‐
hood, and helping us grow. At our first stated meeting we will have Scottish Rite presenting to us in
prep for their spring reunion (initiation into Scottish Rite). This is part of our plan this year to have at
least one presentation a month at a meeting. Our big event is at the second stated meeting. We will
have the Rainbow Girls presenting between our meal and our meeting. Since they support us at instal‐
lation and many events through out the year, lets show them our support by bringing families to hear
them speak. Also that night we have our official DDGM visit by RW Donald Goolsby. First we need
you to show up to show your support. Second to help us get our masonic education points (over 40
must attend from our lodge). Lastly I think we may be getting some presentations. I promise to keep
business/announcements as short as we can have so we can devote time to the DDGM and com‐
mitteemen and get out as close to normal time as we can.
So far this year we have gotten our collars, polished our floor, replaced the bollards outside, devel‐
oped a flyer for recruitment, business cards, traveled for the gavel, initiated three and raise three
brothers. We have approved a chair lift for our back stairway to enable visitors that are challenged
with the stairs ease to the second floor. We should be hearing proposals from our building committee
on replacement for the upstairs windows, improving the Wi-Fi, and improvements to our audio sys‐
tem. Some of our next projects to start to develop are cleaning/organization of the library, a land‐
scape day for our exterior beautification and access, and develop the proposals for our other road
sign. We have enough in our funds to cover much of the work and still have reserves. To help
fund some of this work we need to find out if we can count on the Adopt-a-Precinct funds later in the
year. To that end I will have a sign up list in March at the Tyler's desk. If you, and/or your significant
other are willing to take the class and participate in the two election days in the fall, please add your
name to this list.

It was great to have such a great turnout to our last couple of Lodge
meetings, and to our Outdoor Master Mason Degree. Keep up the good
work!!! Be sure to congratulate our Three new Master Masons: Connor
Everson, Zander Arthur and Michael Lillard.

yet. Please put this in the mail today.
