COURTHOUSE TOUR & JUDICIAL RECEPTION
The San Antonio Young Lawyers
Association (“SAYLA”) would like
to thank everyone for participating in
the 26th Annual Courthouse Tour and
Judicial Reception. We hope that the
participants enjoyed the event and
found the information they learned to
be useful in their practice. We extend
our sincere thanks to all of the judges,
lawyers, clerks, and other staff and
personnel. Despite their busy
schedules, they are all committed to providing mentorship to young Bexar
County attorneys. Finally, we would like to thank all of the sponsors who
made this year’s event possible. We could not have had such a successful
event without their generous support. We are looking forward to seeing
everyone next year at the 27th Courthouse Tour and Judicial Reception.

SAYLA members teamed up to give
legal advice to the community at the
St. Mary’s Center for Legal and
Social Justice on Thursday, February
27th. They addressed a wide range of
questions from wills, guardianships,
bankruptcy, divorce, and property
law.

SAYLA & SABA Family Fun Day & Chili Cook Off
Sunday, April 6, 2014
This year the event is going to be at the Barrera Ranch in off of I-10 and Boerne
Stage Road. We need volunteers to help set up and take down activities for the
children from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Chili cook off sign up information will be
included on the SAYLA and SABA websites.
Admission is $5 per person at the door.
Food, drinks, and activities are included.

committee.

Thank you to everyone who
came to the Holiday Party at
Boiler House on Tuesday,
December 17th and for your
kind contributions.
We collected 131 pounds
of food and made a
monetary donation of
$350.00 to the
San Antonio Food Bank!
TYLA grants help provide fun events
for SAYLA families with young
children. This year SAYLA has
focused on promoting more family
time by hosting several events for our
young parents to bring their children
to. Some of the events include a day at
the Little Gym and a private screening
of Toy Story at the Alamo Drafthouse
on a Saturday morning.
The next family oriented activity will
be on Sunday, April 6, 2014 for the
annual Family Fun Day and Chili
Cook Off. There are going to be
several games for young children to
participate in playing, a face painter,
and a obstacle course bounce house
for children of all ages. We look
forward to seeing our SAYLA
members and their families at this
