The Road to Your New Body

Who’s got my keys?... Driving the road

to your “best-ever” BI body!!!

We all choose different avenues. Some

of you will thrive in the fast lane, choose

short cuts, and hope you avoid any speed

traps. However, there is also the slow-go

lane. It’s not so bad either.

You might be passing others on the

Body Highway, or YOU might be getting

passed by… UH OH….

Let’s hope you are not getting cut off!

Whether you’re burning rubber on a

drag strip, or taking the cautious route

along a lengthy stretch of highway filled

with bumps and potholes, your destination

is well worth the trip – a permanent, posi-

tive body composition change.

Why don’t you take BI along with you?

OK, let’s go! Start your engine, shift out of

neutral (hopefully, you’re not in reverse)

and put your motor into DRIVE.

UMP Rocky Road Protein Bars

1. Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl.

2. Then add wet ingredients and combine.

3. Keep mixing. Mixture will look dry and

crumbly but keep mixing to make sure

the almond butter is well-combined.

4. Line an 8X8 dish with wax paper and

place contents in the dish.

5. Press the mixture down firmly.

6. Place dish in the freezer for 30 minutes.

7. Remove and cut into 8 bars.

Lucian Johnson, Anytime Fitness writes,

“Just had to let you know I received

my first order about an hour ago and

cracked open an UMP ... I have used

probably every protein on the market

and they all claim to be the best tast-

ing and easiest to mix... WELL, UMP is

AWESOME all the way around. I can’t

stand the taste of other proteins mixed

in just water, but with UMP I can walk

right out of my office to the drinking

fountain in my gym and just kill it there.

Way to go guys, I will never use a differ-

ent protein again!”

(When I asked Lucian if I could quote

him, he said, “Yes... I am a skeptic and

always thought the testimonials were

typed up by the owners and employees

because everyone claims to be the best.

BUT, now it is me typing the testimo-

nial. I look so forward to taking all your

products now.”)

Now that we took a brief detour on your road to a better body comp, it’s time to take your first driver’s test.

These are some of commonly asked questions from our BI users!

Answer TRUE or FALSE.

________ 1. The best place to store your BI protein is in a cool dry place.

________ 2. The Protein scoop is always right on top of the powder when I

first open the container.

________ 3. UMP can be used at night time as a sleeper protein.

________ 4. Rocky Road does not have nuts in the mix.

________ 5. You must always use a full scoop of protein.

ANSWERS:1. True. Keeping it in the sun, your trunk or on the top of the refrigerator is not

recommended.

2. False. Sometimes when transporting, the scoop may end up buried a few inches

from the top. It could be hidden. Use a knife or big spoon and search for it.

3. True. UMP is 80% slow released casein and can be used at night time for “all

night” gains and recovery.

4. True. There are no NUTS in the new UMP Rocky Road mix.

5. False. You may use whatever you feel is best for your nutrient intake. Some use

1 scoop, others may use 1.5 scoops. You choose!

An AmazingTransformation

I started training for my first competition on

October 31st, 2011. My competition was May

12th, 2012, an all-natural show in Bradley, IL. I

ended up placing 2nd out of 6 in both the novice

and open.

Starting weight (10/31): 184.8 @ 24.8% bodyfat.Ending weight (5/12): 155.5 @ 6% bodyfat

In the weeks coming up to the contest I'd go

through 1.5 tubs of UMP per week. I had 2 shakes

a day w/2 scoops each, and another scoop mixed

with water to make a pudding every night before

bed. Congrats on creating such a delicious product.

Jeremiah WilliesPenny, from City Gym in Riverside, CA

sent this photo of Jeremiah Willies, one of

their ABA/INBA natural bodybuilders. Jer-

emiah recently won the overall at the ABA/

INBA Iron Gladiator, and then Best Poser at

Mr Los Angeles… However, he was not do-

ing so well until his trainer, Oscar Shearer,

transferred most of his supplementation to

Beverly International products. Oscar has

followed Vince Gironda concepts since the

early ages (Oscar's now 60) and has been

using and recommending Beverly for years

as he feels it parallels Vince's best concepts.

He has always felt that Beverly products are

perfect for natural bodybuilders and could

give Jeremiah the edge he needed to suc-

ceed. And it did. Penny added, “Without

Beverly products readily available in our

Pro-Shop, Jeremiah and our other natural

athletes -- body-builders and power-lifters

-- would not be as successful as they are.”

Sandy BrittonSandy Britton owns Flex Fitness in Bucyrus, OH. She was introduced to Bev-

erly International in 2011 and also competed for the first time that year. After a

“clean” off-season with BI supplements, she came back in 2012 by earning her

WNBF pro card and placing 2nd in her first pro contest.

She writes, “I would just like to thank you for providing such a wonderful

‘clean’ product line, and for the instructive information that is in your NO NON-

SENSE magazine. The No Nonsense definitely played a critical role in my success.

The stories are relatable and informative! Here is a recipe for some ‘kick-butt’

UMP brownies to share with your readers. Everybody in Our gym loves them.”

What is the difference between the Super Pak and FitTabs?

Another question we get frequently is, “What is the difference between the Super Pak and FitTabs?

Super Pak is a mega vitamin/min-

eral pak containing 9 individual tablets

and capsules. It provides a higher dos-

age than FitTabs. It’s formulated specif-

ically for high energy demanding indi-

viduals. Take 1 pak daily with a meal.

FitTabs is a very high end multi vi-

tamin/mineral. Take 2-4 tablets daily

with meals. Made for anyone who

wishes to use a multi vitamin without

over doing it.

I use FitTabs and have forever. Rog-

er uses the Super Pak, and has for 25

years or more!

Alix Louca Hi Sandy, I am writing to you to tell you

of the success I have had while using Beverly

products. When I turned 40 years-old, I decid-

ed to work towards competing in figure com-

petitions. I tried many supplements hoping to

achieve my goals. At first, my supplement regi-

men was based upon what was on sale or what

marketing campaign seemed enticing. In 2011,

I started taking Beverly products on a friend’s

recommendation and a year later at the age of

43, I stepped on stage as a figure competitor.

I placed 4th in the open class and 5th in the

masters. A week later, at the NPC New York

Grand Prix in Poughkeepsie, I won 1st place in

the open Figure C class, 1st place in the Novice

division and 2nd in the Masters division.

I am a devout consumer of your

products and I am thrilled to tell my

fellow athletes the wonders of your

products. I take Density and Super

Pak every morning, followed by

7-Keto and Lean Out with meals.

For pre-workout, I switch between

Up-Lift and Muscle Synergy. After

my weight training, I drink Gluta-

mine Select and use Ultimate Muscle

Protein any time of day to get super-

charged. Thank you Sandy for caring

about the health of your athletes and

clients, your dedication to the sport

is exceptional. Alix Louca

John owedI just wanted to send a big

"thank you" to you both for

having such an astounding

business that creates the best

possible products. I started

visiting Brian Wiefering

about 3 years ago, and ever

since I have been hooked!

Between your publication,

the website and Brian’s ad-

vice I have learned how I can

get the results I dreamed of

and further!

Take care and many thanks.

Having this knowledge, while

starting a new job out of school has

kept me on track and disciplined

in the office. It is also contagious -

now, about 20 other people at work

are using Beverly products and lov-

ing them. We are truly changing the

corporate culture!

I really liked your "top 10" ad-

vice in the most recent issue. Brian

Tracy is one of my favorite coach-

es! I am not necessarily in sales, but

I love to "sell" your brand to others

- a protein pusher if you will :)!

We are...“Team V Fitness”

Jill Vadala sent me a whole lot of information

on her Team V Fitness including a write-up on a

number of her competitors. I’m pressed for space

this issue but would at least like to introduce you

to Team V. Jill relies on her vast knowledge and

experience to motivate team members. Jill says this

about the Team V experience, “It is absolute Team

Work from day 1 until the moment we can have

that first post-show cupcake. Others admire how

well we work together back stage at a competition.

We are very proud of that. It has been an absolute

honor to coach these hard working girls and I hope

to do it for years to come.”

All of our Team V diets consist of 6-8 small,

high protein meals eaten throughout the day, start-

ing with meal #1 within minutes of waking up.

Our starches come from hot cereal, Ezekial bread,

some fruit, sweet or red potatoes and brown rice.

We customize each team member’s diet, but here’s

a good one to get you started:

Begin with meal #1 within 30 min of waking up

and continue meals every 2-3 hours.

Beverly International Ultimate Muscle Protein is Team V’s favorite supple-

ment. We order about 24-30 tubs a month. Obviously it is good stuff since Team

V has had 7 overall bikini winners, 3 overall figure winners, 13 class winners in

bikini, figure and BB and many top 5 placements. (www.jillvadala.com)

One of our favorite recipes is UMP Cookies & Crème Pancakes. I mix 4 egg

whites, 1 scoop UMP (C&C), 1/3 cup cream of wheat or oats, cinnamon to taste

and a drop of water. Mix and fry with cooking spray. Top with spray butter and

sugar free syrup. I use this same concoction and sometimes throw it into my

waffle and donut makers. I love dunking the donuts into my coffee too.

Another of my favorites is to make a Muscle Provider brownie by mixing 1

scoop Muscle Provider chocolate with a tbsp of almond butter and a few drops

of water. Microwave for 45 seconds. GO TEAM V FITNESS!!!!!!!

When you were a kid on vacation, do you remember asking your parents, “Are we there yet? “Most of the time the answer would be, “Almost, it’s right around

the next bend!” Even if we are not quite there yet, let’s keep the gas flowing to the engine and the pedal to the metal!!! We are taking a great trip together!!

Soon we will reach our destination!!! Keep up the great work. Congrats to Greg and Leah Wyrabkiewicz on the birth of their beautiful baby girl, LU LU (Lucille). It won’t be long ‘til she asks her daddy that very same question… Are we there yet?? Get ready Greg! Try the new UMP Rocky Road and let us know what you think about it. If you have something to share, send it to: [email protected] Ta Ta for now!!!

Rick Ruether Rick Ruether owner of Body By

Rick and promoter of the NPC Cincin-nati and Monster Mash wrote, “Here's a photo of me with my Bev shirt on at Bondi Beach (a famous Aussie surf beach, just before they shut it down for shark attacks). Actually, a few people asked about the shirt, so if you get any orders from down under, you know, right? :>) Cool place, very laid back, wonderful people!!!”

MEAL 1: 1/3 cup oatmeal with 1 scoop UMP cookies n cream mixed in. Another option is to pour this mixture into muffin tins and bake. Great to take along to the gym.

MEAL 2: (Post workout) Muscle Provider shake, 1 scoop of Beverly's Glutamine Select

MEAL 3: 4oz flank steak; 1 cup green beans; and a 4-6oz sweet potato

MEAL 4: 2-3 cups baby spinach, 1/2 cup brown rice with 4-5oz chicken breast, 1 oz crushed walnuts, 1 oz cranberries topped with balsamic vinegar or a tbsp safflower oil

MEAL 5: Greek yogurt and a half grapefruit. Add a little UMP to the yogurt for flavor

MEAL 6: 6 egg white omelet with added veg-gies and an ounce of almonds

MEAL 7: Chocolate UMP...slightly chilled for about 30 min in freezer- topped with sugar free cool whip and a tbsp natural peanut butter
