If you are a born-again Believer, you have mountain-moving faith residing in you.You may not be using it, but it is there – a sleeping giant. You may say, “But I don’t feellike I have it,” but having that faith has nothing to do with your feelings. If you are bornagain, you have the measure of faith.

In Romans 12:3, Paul declares, … as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.Personally, I think the standard King James Version is a more accurate translation ofthis verse: … according as God hath dealt to every man the measure of faith. Before I goany further, let me qualify the phrase every man. Paul is not talking about every man inthe world. He is referring to every man in the Church of Jesus Christ. He makes thisqualification in Romans 1:7, where he writes, To all who are in Rome, beloved of God,called to be saints. He also states in 2 Thessalonians 3:2 … that we may be delivered from

unreasonable and wicked men; for not all have faith. What are you doing with your measure of faith?I remember a time when life was hard and money was

short—all because I hadn’t grabbed hold of the concept of faith. And God gives it to us freely.

It is an unmerited gift. You cannot get it by tarrying, mourning, fasting, or tithing. Faith can only be received as afree handout from God. How does God hand this gift out tous? According to Paul, So then faith comes by hearing, andhearing by the word of God (Romans 10:17). This is why Jesuscommanded us to "Go into all the world and preach the gospelto every creature. If we do not preach the Word, faith cannotcome. If faith does not come, men cannot believe. If they can-not believe, they cannot be saved. And if they are not saved, they will go to hell when their bodies physically die.

When we are born again, we all receive the same measureor amount of faith. If you have accepted Christ as your personal Savior and Lord, youalready have all the faith you will ever need.

I’m so glad I learned about faith. And my wife and I are blessed that generationsafter us are walking in faith according to God’s Word. It’s been a year since my son,Frederick K. Price, Jr was installed as pastor of Crenshaw Christian Center. Watchinghim walk in his God-given destiny does my heart good.

Faith will produce results over time. Anything of value takes time, and so it is withthe principles of faith. It produces results over time. It is not an instant panacea. It is nota ripcord that you pull to bail you out of a problem. It is notan Aladdin’s lamp that you can stroke and say, “Genie,Genie, come out and give me a new yacht.”

You have to stay with faith. You have to make a commit-ment to the point that you burn all the bridges down behindyou, and many people do not do that. They are tryingfaith. They want to see if it’s going to work. Right thereis doubt, and it has already crippled them. You have tobe completely sold out. You have to be absolutely con-vinced that acting on the Word will produce resultsgiven time and commitment.

…Godhas dealtto eachone ameasureof faith.”

—Romans 12:3

Last year marked a historicmoment in Crenshaw Christian

Center (CCC) history whenApostle Frederick K.C. Price

named his then 30-year-old sonPastor Fred Price Jr. pastor of the22,000-member congregation. His

installation ceremony was full ofaccolades, pomp and circumstance. But all that’s been traded in for the

every day work of Pastor Fredrolling up his sleeves and leading

the congregation.

ith a year of experience under hisbelt, Pastor Fred admits that the job of ashepherd is a tough one. But one thathe’s more than ready to tackle fordecades to come.

“Being pastor is hard because you have to makedecisions—that’s the hardest thing,” noted Pastor

Fred. “You have to stand bythe decision you make

and believe God thatyou are making the

right one. Iu n d e r s t a n dnow that that’swhat comeswith the terri-

tory—makingthe tough deci-

s i o n s .I’ve mademy fair share of them in 2009 and Iknow I’m going to be making manymore.”

Two big decision he’s made thus farinclude changing the time and format ofSunday Service, adding a new Saturdaynight worship service and changing the dresscode for employees of CCC from business attire todressy casual.

They are small changes. However, they areproof that he is making his mark on the church hisfather founded more than 30 years ago. And that’sbeen the biggest change so far says Pastor Fred—that now the buck stops with him now rather thanhis father. Other than that the foundation estab-lished is the same.

“The Word hasn’t changed. The teaching hasn’tchanged. There could possibly be another level ofanointing from the standpoint of authority and lead-ership but other than that, everything has prettymuch been the same,” he says.

While Apostle Price is not working in the samecapacity as pastor, he is still available for PastorFred if necessary, which this new pastor counts as ablessing.

“It’s not hard having him still here and relevant,”he pointed out. “I think it’s somewhat beneficial.Because he’s around, there’s still his aura here so tospeak. And that’s not a bad thing because he builtthis place. His persona is still here. It’s what builtCrenshaw Christian Center. He still is the face ofEver Increasing Faith Ministries. He is theFellowship of Inner City Word ofFaith Ministries. What anideal situation to still havedad present. He does notinterfere. He lets me beme. He lets me lead.”

While the task to leadmay be daunting, it is notsomething that makesPastor Fred fearful. In

fact, he says God helpedhim conquer fear early inhis ministry. He wasordained Feb. 2003 and

eventually went on to cre-ate a special Sunday service

called "Hip-Hop Sunday" toattract younger church-goers.

Initially, he had a bit of pulpit anxiety which he says waseradicated in 2004 when he preached the message “WhatIn Hell Do You Want?” And the initial fear that came withbeing responsible for hundreds of employees has passed aswell.

One thing that hasn’t passed is the celebrity status thatcomes with being the pastor of a mega-church as well as aguest on his father’s television broadcast. Pastor Fredadmits that it’s something that he doesn’t know that he’llever get used to. But what he does intend to get usedto is remaining humble as his father has all of theseyears. He also admits to admiring traits that make hisfather who he is—mainly his discipline.

“He’s a regimented individual. He’s like a clock,”Pastor Fred says of Apostle Price. “You don’t look at aclock and wonder what time it is. The time moves thesame way every day progressively. He’s not perfect, buthe’s dang near flawless—that’s the way it appears from theway he’s lived his life.

“Ideally, I’d like to have a prayer and study time likehim,” continues Pastor Fred. “I mean I do those things butI don’t do them like him. His prayer life is more disci-plined than mine from the standpoint that it’s on his men-tal calendar. He’s praying from this time to this time. Idon’t do that. I’m praying 24 hours of the day. It’s going toget done. My studying is going to get done. Bible readingis going to get done. I’m not as military as him and I don’tknow if I will be or if it will just come with maturity. I alsoadmire his integrity. He’s had 78 years of it. I wantpeople to look at me for my integrity likethey do him. Everyone knows my dadis no-nonsense. He’s not about fads, hype or show. It’s hard-core Word.Teach it. Live it. Live it. Teach it.I want that. Other than that, Ithink I’m pretty much alreadylike him. I have a lot of his habits, ways and attributes. It’s thedetails of his discipline that I planto adopt.”

T h o u g hhe’d beenordained inthe ministrysix years priorto taking over thepost as pastor,Pastor Fred had tolearn all aspects of thechurch and comprehend the roles ofthe pastoral staff. He sat with every pastor on staff to seewhat they did and what they specialized in, accompanied

them on hospital and home visitations, and attended memorials and

weddings they officiated aswell as joined in on phone

counseling. He did hands-on training like this forseveral years.

And it is very likelythis training will helphim should his own now

toddler-age son one daydecide to follow his grand-

father and father into the pul-pit.“I believe my son will accept the

call and I will not pressure him,” Pastor Fred noted. “I willtreat him in the calling the same way that my father treat-ed me. As long as there’s a Price in existence who’scalled to the office of pastor and teacher, the Word of God will be taught here atCrenshaw Christian Center. As fornow, the wheels are turning here,it’s just bringing [the ideas] intomanifestation now.” —EIF

hen I asked my media staff to create a commercial pro-moting our 2009 Alaska Cruise, the result was a seriesof graphics showcasing hooded Eskimos in a snowy set-ting outside of an igloo. In reality, nothing could be fur-ther from the truth. An Alaskan summer is like spring in

the lower 48 (Alaska talk for mainland USA). It can be warm in thesun—sometimes even hot—and cool in the shade. Bottom line, theweather varies, but overall it’s fantastic.

We boarded our Holland America ship, the M.S. Westerdam,in Seattle, WA—which is quite a destination in itself. It’s a beautifulcity surrounded by snow capped peaks right on the Pacific Ocean. One of its featured attractions is the Space Needle, a remnant of theSeattle, 1962 World’s Fair.

The ship was large but not gaudy. It was classy and elegant. After a full day of travel for some, our cabin was a welcome sight.

After the lifeboat drill, it was time to unpack our newly arrivedluggage and rest before our Welcome Aboard meeting in the VistaLounge.

During the meeting, guests were introduced to Michael andAngela Evans, our hosts for the week. They introduced the Pricefamily including Apostle Fred Price, Dr. Betty Price and PastorFred Price, Jr and his wife Angel. Cheryl Price was introduced asthe hostess of fun, as she coordinated the fun activities for us aboardthe ship. Finally, the staff of Inspiration Cruises & Tours, our trav-el agency was introduced. They in turn introduced key ship person-nel.

Also introduced was Deidre Hughes who provided the min-istry in song during the week and gave an impromptu concert. Her

jovial husband, Trent accompanied her.We heard about all the exciting things that were in store for us

during the week and were looking forward to it all. The meetingconcluded just in time for our first dinner aboard ship. And, what adinner it was. The food was awesome. Not a good sign if youboarded the ship already carrying more tonnage than you should.

After dinner, it was party time for some. For other’s it was timeto get a well-deserved night’s sleep.

As a result of so many years cruis-ing and having Ministry at Sea, EverIncreasing Faith Ministries (EIFM)has learned to have meetings aboardship at the most convenient times possi-ble. So, our first ministry session of thecruise was at 1:30pm. Plenty of time tosleep in, order en-suite breakfast out onyour verandah while watching flyingfish, whales and porpoises swimmingby.

After breakfast, there was still timeto go to the beautifully-appointed gymand work out a little or just walk theship to look for new adventures.

The meetings were casual andoptional although most of our groupattended all of them. Apostle Price ledoff following announcements byMichael Evans and worship and praise

and special music by Deidre Hughes. His message was “What’s SoImportant About Faith?” It was classic Apostle Price. Lessons thatcan be obtained by purchasing his first book, “How Faith Works.”It was awesome as usual and you couldn’t beat the setting.

Following the morning session, we were dismissed to the booktable to shop for our first gifts of the cruise while our meeting roomopened up for afternoon activities for other passengers.

Later that evening we had our Hollywood Nights theme partyfor our group only. The other passengers celebrated their normalfirst formal night. We made the best of our formal attire startingwith entering the ballroom on the red carpet, having our photostaken by paparazzi and enjoying hor’douveres.

The MC for the evening was none other than Cheryl Price. She looked as beautiful as ever in her flowing black evening gown.We had a talent contest for the best dressed and most interestingpersonalities. You wouldn’t believe the amount of ham in our peo-ple, including Apostle Price.

Michael and Angela Evans awarded the “Oscars” to each win-ner based on the recommendation of our panel of judges. What alovely evening. Then it was off to dinner, the nightly show, shops onboard and just enjoying all that Holland America had in store forus. Others just marched off to bed for well-deserved rest.

Tuesday from 10am-7pm, we cruised scenic Glacier Bay. This

was also where we took our group photo in front of the MargueriteGlacier.

Late that evening, it was game time where our group chal-lenged the Prices to a variety of board games and Apostle Price’sfavorite game, UNO. We were having so much fun, we didn’t wantto stop and go to dinner but we were starving and forced ourselves.

The next morning, Wednesday, we arrived at our first real portof call Juneau, Alaska. What a place. The capital of the state ofAlaska and former home of then Governor and Vice Presidentialcandidate, Sarah Palin. The weather was perfect—sunny and warmin the sun and slightly cool in the shade.

We saw members of our group coming and going on a varietyof shore excursions and walking around enjoying the town. Someeven toured the state capital. Still others looked for a famousAlaskan seafood lunch. Many of us purchased fresh and smokedAlaskan crab and salmon to send or bring home.

Thursday we arrived at Sitka, Alaska. It’s a beautiful, quaint, seaside town surrounded by hundreds of inhabited islands with oneor two houses on each. Shopping or sightseeing was the order ofthe day. Again the weather was picture perfect.

We departed Sitka at 5pm headed for Ketchikan. This evening

was our second formal night and we had an impromptu concert byour own Deidre Hughes that was only open to members of ourgroup. Deidre was awesome and well received. Afterward it was offto the Captain’s Gala Farewell dinner.

On Friday, we arrived at Ketchikan, Alaska. What a city—thesalmon capital of the world. We saw so many salmon trying to swimup the Ketchikan Creek you could almost walk on them. They werehuge, beautiful and I would imagine, very tasty. Salmon croquettes, smoked salmon pate & crackers, blackened salmon…mmm, don’tget me started. The seafood in Alaska is superb.

We departed Ketchikan early and headed to Victoria, BritishColombia. While enroute, we had our final meeting with teachingby Pastor Fred Price, Jr. His message was inspiring beyond hisyears. As they say, the fruit doesn’t fall too far from the tree.

We had an evening arrival in Victoria. Some went ashore toexperience a whole new country—Canada. It was quaint, beautifuland very much like a large college town, with boutiques and restau-rants appearing to cater to the young and the young at heart. It wasa gorgeous ending to a wonderful cruise.

If you have never traveled with Ever Increasing FaithMinistries, you must do so soon. We’ll be traveling to Israel on Aug.13th, 2011, aboard the largest cruise ship in the world, RoyalCaribbean’s Oasis of the seas. linics on school grounds are called School-Based Health Centers (SBHCs). Theyused to be called school-based clinics(SBCs), but the term, clinic, has

been substituted with the more palatableterm, health center. Some clinics are notlocated directly on school grounds, butsince they are strategically very close—usually within a block or two—they arecalled School-Linked Clinics (SLCs)or School-Linked Health Centers(SLHCs).

Minors who cannot receive aspirinfrom a teacher without their parents’permission can be taken to the clinic, examined, “evaluated”, and prescribedmedications. Clinic staff also has the“right” to transport students off-cam-pus during school hours for abor-tions—all without their parents’ knowledge orconsent. Nurses and doctors in these clinics areimmune to otherwise restrictive laws governinglocal school districts.

School-based health centers are this coun-try’s attempt at a comprehensive teenage preg-nancy prevention program, which comes underthe umbrella of national heath care reform.Citing statistics that many children go withoutphysical examinations because they are unin-sured, proponents argue for a socializedapproach to providing reproductive health care.

Since the majority of these children—African American and Hispanic—attend publicschools, this is the most logical place to serve as“surrogate” parents for the “nation’s neediest chil-dren.” But these “at-risk” students are not theonly populations targeted for SBHCs. Plansare to have a clinic in every public school, includ-ing elementary.

THE BIRTH OF SBHCSHow have we arrived at a place where there

are clinics on school grounds and condoms inour children’s classrooms? The early beginningsof SBHCs may surprise you. Here’s a briefoverview.

The birth of school-based health clinicsbegan with Sanger’s push to preserve life for theelite class by providing birth-control for themasses. Decidedly racist in origins, Planned Parenthood soonbecame the vehicle to herald this twisted agenda.

By the mid 60’s, controlling births in the black population was amajor governmental concern because African American women wereperceived to be particularly fecund or fertile. To reduce births, thefederal government sub-contracted Planned Parenthood to set upwalk-in, non-medical units to provide family planning services in

neighborhoods populated by minority andpoor women. It was recommendedthat a nationwide policy on family plan-ning—complete with a reporting sys-tem—be implemented no later than1975.

THE COMMISSION ON POPULATION GROWTHIn 1970, a special commission was

formed—The Commission onPopulation Growth and the AmericanFuture—to study on the effects of pop-ulation growth and immigration on

government, the economy, and the environment. This evaluation took place over a two-year peri-od from 1970 to 1972.

Meanwhile, Planned Parenthood consid-ered that sexuality education went hand-in-handwith providing contraceptive and birth-controlservices for teenagers. To spearhead the effort tomandate comprehensive sex education in publicschool curricula, Mary Calderone, who was themedical director of Planned Parenthood, estab-lished the Sex Information and EducationCouncil of the United States (SIECUS).

Planned Parenthood’s next step was to actu-ally get its services into public schools. As earlyas 1970, the first school-based clinic opened qui-etly in an inner-city school in Dallas. That sameyear, three hundred females at Yale Universitywere given the “morning-after pill.”

Simultaneously, changing existing lawsbecame the focus. With parental notificationand consent, providers faced a major roadblock.Minors were prevented from receiving contra-ceptives and birth-control unless their parentsapproved. Something had to change.

THE FINAL REPORTIn 1972, the Commission on Population

Growth and the American Future issued its finalreport. Stating that the task for fertility-relatedservices was a governmental priority that was

too important to be left to voluntary organizations or to privateefforts, the Commission recommended hiring Planned ParenthoodFederation of America (PPFA) to manage the nation’s family plan-ning.

The agreement was quite costly. Commonly known as Title X,hundreds of millions of dollars ($275 in 1974, $325 in 1975, $400 eachsubsequent year) were set aside to pay PPFA. As the “expert,”

PPFA continues to be a hired agency, a subcontractor that providesits specialized services—abortion, birth-control, and contraception—for the purposes of controlling population growth. In other words, there is someone higher than Planned Parenthood. Its boss is thefederal government, and taxpayers pay the bill!

Planned Parenthood provides the personnel, programs, andbirth-control services for all school-based health centers. Additionalstaff come from private physicians or those who work in teaching hos-pitals. To allay concerns from parents, teachers, administrators, andthe community about contraceptives being given to students, clinicstaff is advised not to dispense contraceptives during the first year ofoperation but to introduce these services in the second year after thecontroversy over opening the SBHC subsides.

To avail themselves of additional millions in federal dollars setaside for mental health, anti-drug, and anti-smoking, SBHCs alsoprovide these related services. Students are encouraged to enroll inthe clinic by staff, who offer physicals for athletics, jobs and college, immunizations, and programs for weight-control.

Principals and school administrators assist the SBHCs by giv-ing students’ class schedules to the staff so that the nurses can invitethe children to visit the clinic. Once inside, no matter what the rea-son for the visit—an ear infection, a broken fingernail—all studentsare asked about their sexual activity and offered birth-control andcontraceptives. Females receive pelvic examinations and Pap smears, usually during the morning school hours, those times that parentsusually assume that their kids are learning how to read.

Students are also given psychosocial evaluations—mental healthtests—again without their parents’ notification or consent. The“results” from these tests are placed into students’ school files and canfollow them throughout their years in the educational system.

While regular school nurses cannot give students an aspirin with-out their parents’ consent, nurses and doctors in these health clinicscan even give students mental health drugs if their psychosocial eval-uation so indicates. Special incentives such as pizza parties and freetickets to school dances and sporting events are ways that schooladministrators encourage all students to enroll in the clinic.

EXPENSIVE OPERATIONSThese school-based health clinics are expensive to operate—from

$90,000 to over $300,000 per clinic—and costs are primarily forsalaries. A host of private foundations also underwrite costs, andadditional monies come from state grants, Medicaid and social serv-ices. It’s just slightly ironic that in many of these same schools chil-dren don’t have enough textbooks, paper on which to write, or com-puters in their classrooms.

As school-based health clincs continue to expand today—theyare already in some elementary schools and plans are to begin com-prehensive sex education at the kindergarten level —clinics in ourchildren’s schools seem like a giant that’s too big to fall.

Lawsuits succeeded in closing some school clinics, but moreparents who are involved are needed. There are too few voices speak-ing on behalf of the family. Christian organizations are sounding thealarm to a nation that seems very hard-of hearing. For whatever rea-sons, many mothers and fathers appear to be numbed into sleepysilence. Wake up!

Parents need more choices for their children’s education. Privateschools and charter schools are the answer. You may wonder, “Doessexual intercourse increase in schools with family planning clinics?”

You probably won’t be surprised with this answer! We’ll discussthis in our next column…—EIF

Success Through TithingI have a very special testimony to share.

Late one night after putting my five children tobed, I turned on my television set and therewas Dr. Price speaking on how a poor personcould tithe. You stated that a poor personcould tithe by collecting soda cans and bottlesand taking them back to the store then usingthat money for tithing. I was poor, alone andtrying to raise my five children alone. I was inhiding with my children from their abusivefather. I did exactly what Dr. Price said.

I don’t understand how, but I went backto school earning a Master’s Degree. I put myfive children through private school. I traveledall over the world, lived in West Africa for ashort time. I even established a daycare. I gotthe chance to speak with you many years laterwhen you visited New York City at MadisonSquare Gardens. I just want to say thank you.

The Harvest ContinuesWe (Mr.&Mrs.Frederick Douglass Gray)

are the most grateful sheep in the CrenshawChristian Center flock. The teachings wereceive through the weekly broadcast, onFriday night and Sunday service on the Wordnetwork are continuously blessing our lives. We could go on forever about the miracleswe've been blessed by and the understandingof the word made plain by Dr. Betty, Fred Jrand The Apostle. I'm so in awe with the teach-ings of Pastor Fred Jr. that I can't wait to hearthe next time he comes on the tube. The seedssown on good ground have given my wife andI such insight on why we gave $10,000 back in2006. The harvest has not stopped coming. The best gifts have come in Mrs. Gray’s recov-ery from acute kidney injury. She is no longeron hemodialysis. We suffered so much duringthat time, but the harvest came with joyfultears. So we know that we know we are giversfor the goers. As long as there is life in our bod-ies we will give to the Ever Increasing FaithMinistries and contact all we know to do thesame. I'm sure God is blessing the family so bewell and thrive.

A Shining ExampleWe have been studying God's Word

with Apostle Price since 1971 when, bychance, we ran across your program oneSunday morning. We have never forgottenhow you drilled it in our hearts and mind to“walk by faith and not by sight.”

You inspired us so with how you wereable to bring your four lovely children up tohonor and reverence God-that is how weknew you were a man of God. Many yearsbefore you taught about racism in America,my husband once said to me, “I wonder whatDr. Price's thoughts are concerning racism.”When you taught on Race, Religion andRacism, we knew for sure that God was incharge.

A Changed LifeMy life has and never will be the same

because of you Dr. Price. I know God putyou in the Apostle office. Because of yourhandling and respect for God’s Word, liveshave been changed. You will never fullyknow how many but God knows. When youcame to Saginaw, MI in November 2008,my brother—who I had been praying for for

years—came with me. He received Jesus asSavior and now always listens to ApostlePrice. I had been praying for 20 years ormore for Apostle Price to come to Saginawand in 2008 God answered my prayer.

Humble ThanksCongratulations on the well-deserved

honor of being affirmed as an Apostle ofFaith. Your ministry has contributed to myspiritual growth beginning in 1987 when Ireceived Christ as my Savior at one of yourmeetings held in New York at MadisonSquare Garden. May God continue to blessyou, your ministry and family.

Tapping Into God’s PowerDr. Price, you are a true apostle. Only

an apostle could have answered my ques-tion: “if God is so almighty, why can’t I tapinto His power?” Through your instruction,I found out how powerful faith is and howalive it is. Thank you.

The Right WordI was introduced to Ever Increasing

Faith Ministries on Sunday, December 2,2007. I never watch TV early in the morningbut it was Christmas and I wanted to see ifany specials were on. At around 7:15am andas I flipped through the channels, I was cap-tured by what Dr. Frederick Price was talk-ing about. I couldn’t help but stop and listento what he had to say. After the show ended,I went to get my Bible so I could review theverses he’d just read. As I sat with my Bible,I received a phone call that my mother hadjust died of a sudden heart attack. I realizedthat I just received a very special gift. Yourteachings have helped me deal with thedeath of my mother and other issues in mylife. I’m so happy that I found someone whoteaches the Word in a way that I understand. My life has more meaning and I am trulyblessed. Dr. Price, you are a true Apostle ofFaith.

ehavior starts with a thought. Thoughts stimulate emotionswhich then result in attitude and finally produce behavior. Therefore, toxic thoughts produce toxic emotions, which pro-duce toxic attitudes, resulting in toxic behavior.

The good news is these toxic thoughts, emotions and attitudesare controllable. Every thought has a corresponding electrochemicalreaction in your brain. At one moment, your brain is creatively perform-ing about 400 billion actions (2,000 of which you are conscious of). Wewill explore reasons why it is important to think good thoughts.

Research shows that around 87% of illnesses can be attributed toour thought life, and approximately 13%to diet, genetics and environment. There is no longer any doubt that whatand how you think affect your emotion-al and physical state. The mind andbody are integrally connected.

Your thoughts can de-stress you, making you more alert, calm, and incontrol of your emotions, or can do justthe opposite, the choice is yours.According to the American Institute ofstress, between 75 to 90% of visits to pri-mary-care physicians are the result from stress-related disor-ders.

The medical field’s solution to this problem has been todevelop pharmaceutical drugs aimed at trying to change thebrains chemistry to make us feel good. We must trust Godand obey His Word concerning thoughts and emotions.

There are two important groups of emotions: positivefaith-based emotions and negative fear-based emotions. Each ofthese groups has its own set of emotional molecules attached toit. Faith and fear are not just emotions, but spiritualforces with chemical and electrical representation inthe body. Negative emotions evolve out of fear.Positive emotions evolve out of faith.

Every emotion results in an attitude. An atti-tude is a state of mind that produces a reaction inthe body and a resultant behavior. Examples offaith-based emotions are: love, joy, peace, happi-ness, kindness, gentleness, self –control, forgive-ness and patience. These produce good atti-tudes.

Fear automatically puts the body into

stress mode and reaction. Examples of the fear-based emotions are hate, worry, anxiety, anger, hostility, rage, ill-will, resentment, frustration, impatience and irritation. These produce toxicattitudes which produce toxic responses in thebody.

We know from the Word of God that themind is a battleground, with ongoing conflict between toxic thoughtsand good thoughts, thoughts that serve your mental and physicalhealth. (Romans 12:2). Positive confession of God’s Word is the begin-ning of changing your thought processes to detox your brain.

Your emotions are literally cellular signals that translate informa-tion into a physical reality. This happens because the billions of cells inyour body are covered with receptors, little receivers on the cell mem-brane. Since emotions are cellular signals involved in the process oftranslating information into a physical reality, you need to control thembecause of the impact they can and do have your body and mind.

When you think toxic thoughts, your immune system can turn onyou and harm your heart. Your immune system secrets a chemical thatcontrol plaque formation so it does not threaten your health, when youremotions are toxic, you increase plaque formation in the arteries of yourheart, increasing the possibility of having heart problems.

Hosea 4:6 says that we are destroyed because of the lack ofknowledge, so if you don’t know these things it would be diffi-

cult to do something about them. Most of the time, you maynot be aware of the toxic waste building up in the complex

system that run your physicalbody.

We must learn how tocontrol our thoughts, when

your thoughts go wrong, youremotions rule; to overcome that,

you must learn to rule your emo-tion with wisdom and rational

thinking (Proverbs 4:7, Proverbs23:7).

Consciouslycontrolling yourthoughts is notjust the first stepin maintaining apositive thoughtlife but, it’s the

main step. Good thoughts are like beauti-ful, lush and healthy green trees, whilenegative thoughts are like ugly, mangled,

snarling thorn trees. The words you speak are electro-

magnetic life forces that come from athought inside the brain and are influ-enced by your five senses; this is why wemust be very careful of what words weuse.

We can frame our world with thewords that we speak, a person that

knows the power of words become very careful of his conversation.By using the right words you start unseen forces to work on your

behalf. Whatever you speak about you begin to attract. People whocontinually speak of disease invariably attract it.

We must learn to direct or harness our words. We can see howEdison learned how to harness and direct electricity, he had faith in thelaws of electricity and knew what it could do when harnessed anddirected. Now this power lights the world. Change your words andyou change your world.

In conclusion, we must make a commitment to walk in love—thatis the international choice to love others no matter what. Begin tolaugh more and enjoy life, it releases an instant flood of feel-good med-icine. In fact, according to research, laughing 100 to 200 times a day isequal to 10 minutes of rowing or jogging.—EIF

Price’s firsttime teach-ing was inDar Es Salaam, Tanzania.

When we left the hotel, wewere led by police escort,

confirmed by our driver as serv-ice reserved for heads of state and VIP’s only.Literally all vehicles on the right and left side ofthe street including pedestrians pulled over tothe side and stayed there until our last vehiclewas clear. I couldn’t help but think at the time, that’s the way Apostle Price should be treated.

When we arrived at Efatha Ministries,Apostle and Dr. Betty were met with greatexcitement from both Apostle and first ladyMwingira. You could tell immediately thatApostle’s ministry has touched their lives in anextraordinary way and as we walked into thesanctuary, the entire crowd did a consistent(1,2,3) clap until Apostle was seated and this

welcome method wasrepeated each time he

entered the room. He spoke on “What Faith Is” and

delivered it with the same ease, poise andpassion he has in his own pulpit. Throughouthis message, I purposely looked around thesanctuary to witness peoples’ reactions andthey were 100% fixated on him, so much so, youcould hear a pin drop.

On his last day in Tanzania, the peoplecame in droves to hear Apostle. When heopened the floor up for questions and answershands went up throughout the sanctuary. Weheard testimony after testimony from peoplewho have been watching Apostle for years, and

still couldn’t believe that he wasthere, live and in person.

NamibiaNamibia is home to

Crenshaw ChristianCenter Global Ministries,

pastored by Jack and Wanda Wilkins. DuringSunday morning worship service in Namibia,Apostle ministered to a crowd of roughly1,3000—hunger isn’t even the word to describetheir response to him. Apostle is very big onreceiving feedback from a crowd, which he hadno problem with in Namibia, because theywere excited, receptive and eager to learnabout faith, like only Apostle can deliver it! Forlunch, we dined at the home of the honorableTheo-Ben Gurirab, who has been the Speakerof the National Assembly of Namibia since2005. He and his lovely wife Joan were gener-ous hosts to our entire team and the boardmembers of CCCGM.

Dr. Betty and Mrs. Angela Evans spokeat different times to the women of CCCGMduring their women’s only meetings. Dr. Bettyspoke on Faith to live in the Spirit, and Mrs.Evans spoke on Avoiding the Sex Trap; bothmessages were met with rave reviews!

unable to receive proper education, since no schools have been estab-lished there. One of the CCCGM members, Ms. Veronica, is thesuperintendent of the school. The classroom was the size of a publicrestroom, maybe even smaller, but the children were extremely delight-ful and you couldn’t tell by looking at their faces, they were livingamongst such poverty.

Before our departure from Namibia, a group of us visited the basewhere Pastor Jack and first lady Wanda are stationed; the base alsoserves as home to the "Angela M. Evans Training Center" and office ofCCCGM.

JohannesburgWe arrived in Johannesburg on Wednesday

February 3rd. Large parts of South Africa werepreparing for the World Cup 2010 so the airport,

certain streets, hotels, freeways, etc., were beingheavily renovated. Johannesburg boasts world-class

transport, telecommunications, tourism and a peoplerenowned for their hospitality.

Wednesday evening, Apostle Price spoke as guest speaker at theMTI graduation of Dr. Theo Wolmarans, whose church is ChristianFamily Church International. There were roughly 1,000 graduates inattendance, all of whom shook Apostle Price’s and Pastor Wolmarans’hand. The students were so excited to be graduating and just as excit-ed to be in the presence of Apostle Price, who delivered a powerfulmessage on Faith. It was exciting to hear the oooohs and ahhhhhs ofstudents equipped with fresh knowledge and understanding.

Thursday morning, Apostle Price, Dr. Betty and our entouragewere caravanned to one of the Apostle’s sons in ministry, ReverendJones Xola Nzo of Change Bible Church. I can’t describe in wordshow excited Reverend Nzo was to have Apostle Price at his church, but if you can imagine a little kid on Christmas morning, you got thepicture! Apostle Price kept with his teaching on “What Faith Is” for agroup of diehard, pastors, preachers, ministers, apostles, bishops andanyone else who desired to attend. Even in the heat and a temporarypower outage, Apostle Price once again maintained the same enthusi-asm and energy he has in his own pulpit.

Thursday evening, Apostle Price returned to Reverend Nzo’schurch for his final meeting, and the church was packed, there wasn’tan empty seat to be found. It’s astonishing to me that my grandfatherhas touched the lives of people he’s never even met. We heard countlessstories of people who have been watching him for years and never imag-ined they’d be able to sit in front of him live and in person, ministeringunder the anointing!

Cape TownSaturday, February 7th, we arrived in the

beautiful Cape Town. Flying over the city wasunbelievably breathtaking, with views of the historic

Table Mountain and the tip of the Peninsula that isCape Town, with a magnitude of ocean white caps and beautifullystructured buildings.

Saturday evening, Sunday Morning and Sunday evening, ApostlePrice spoke at The Bay Christian Family Church founded by PastorAllan and First Lady Jenine Bagg, in Somerset. “The Bay’s” praise andworship ensemble was phenomenal and sang one of Apostle’s favoritesongs, “Here I Am To Worship” in beautiful harmony. Their praise andworship leader happens to be Raymond Cilliers, a well-known Gospelartist in South Africa.

GhanaGhana is home to missionaries Ray and

Jocelyn Johnson, who have built a remarkableschool in the heart of Ghana that offers classes

catering to graphic design, fashion design, variousart forms, general education and of course the most

important component—the Word.Ghana is also home to Bishop Dag Heward-Mills of Lighthouse

Chapel International, a new and delighted son in ministry of Apostleand Dr. Betty Price. Let me be the first to tell you that I’ve never seena congregation this excited before in my life. The members gaveApostle Price a roaring applause as he entered the chapel and the aptlyappropriate first word out of his mouth when he had the microphonewas, “wow”, and believe me, you would’ve said the same thing. Thechapel itself is an architectural beauty in the heart of Accra, Ghana, with several locations around the world. Bishop Dag gave a humorousand heartfelt testimony of how Apostle’s ministry has blessed him overthe years and how Apostle’s TV messages served as the catalyst for anumber of Pastor Dag’s studies and teachings.

Upon my return home, I received a lot of questions of what Ithought of Africa and my response remains that Africa is an experience.I was mesmerized by many of the things I observed including the peo-ple, the lifestyle, the culture and the splendid scenery; it is unlike any-thing you’ll ever encounter anywhere else in the world. I can truly saythat visiting Africa is a life changing experience. I will forever cherishmy time spent, and am excited about the chance to return. Should youever have the opportunity to visit the motherland, I encourage you todo so!—EIF

the word ooff ffaaiitthh

our mind—the way you think—has a lot to do with the quality ofyour life. Proverbs 23:7 says:For as he thinks in his heart so is

he. What you keep your mind on willdetermine whether you will be at peace orwhether you will be full of anxiety in thistroubled world.

Philippians 4:6-8 tells us: Be anxious for nothing, but in every-

thing by prayer and supplication, withthanksgiving let your requests be madeknown to God, [If you do what this versesays, then the next verse will come into

play.] And the peace of God, which sur-passes all understanding, will guard yourhearts and minds through Christ Jesus.[And the way you keep from being anx-ious for nothing is by doing what verse 8says.] Finally, brethren, whatever thingsare true, whatever things are noble, what-ever things are just, whatever things arepure, whatever things are lovely, whateverthings are of good report, if there is anyvirtue and if there is anything praisewor-thy – meditate [constantly think] on thesethings.

So, what are you thinking about? The word think means “to consider, reflect, reason and ponder.” What wethink is what we become. Where we havekept our minds is where we are. Ourthoughts shape our behavior. In otherwords, what we do is what we think.William Barkley, a Christian writer, says:“It is a law of life that if a man thinks onsomething often enough and longenough, he will come to the stage whenhe cannot stop thinking about it. Histhoughts will be quite literally in a grooveout of which he cannot jerk them.” Howmany people have gotten into bad situa-

tions because they just kept thinking andthinking and thinking about it until theyfound themselves in a mess. What are youthinking about? Are you thinking right-eous or unrighteous thoughts?

Colossians 3:1-2 tells us: If then you were raised with Christ,

seek those things which are above, whereChrist is, sitting at the right hand of God.Set your mind on things above, not onthings on the earth.

Setting your mind on things abovemeans setting your mind on the things ofGod, and you find out about the things ofGod from His Word. You have to takecontrol of your mind and make it do whatit should do by a determination of yourwill. Your will is in the mind area.

Romans 12:1-2 tells us what to dowith our minds and with our flesh.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, bythe mercies of God, that you present yourbody a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable toGod which is your reasonable service.

And do not be conformed to thisworld, but be transformed by the renew-ing of your mind, that you may prove whatis that good, and acceptable and perfectwill of God.

I know we can renew our minds, butwe have to be forever thinking about Godand His great love for mankind. Becauseif you don’t, you will think more in linewith the world than with the things of

God. You have to understand that thebody always wants to gratify the flesh. You have to train the body, make it dowhat your spirit wants, kill it, sacrifice it.And sacrifice is not fun, but it is the joy ofthe Lord you want.

Ephesians 4:21-24 tells us to berenewed in the spirit of our mind. It is ourresponsibility to do something about ourminds. Once a person has been convertedand becomes a new man, he is to focus histhoughts on God, as well as the goodthings of life. We, as Believers, shouldnever dwell on immoral, fleshly, worldly,

selfish, sinful or evil thoughts. Sinful andnegative thoughts disrupt and destroy ourpeace. The mind always goes down to thelevel of the flesh, but we have to control itbecause we live in the flesh and that is thething we gravitate to. And that is why weneed to operate in the Word of God inorder to control our thinking, which willcontrol our flesh. —EIF

Are you thinking:

1 about the flesh and itslusts? Are you thinking about gratify-ing the flesh through such things aspride, self, greed, pleasure, sex, angry exchanges, jealousies, envies, desires, and negative attitudes?

2 about the lusts of the eyesthrough such things as immoralpornographic filth flaunted in maga-zines, films, books, television, andclothes that reveal too much of thebody in a vulgar way?

3 about the desire for recogni-tion, honor, position, and power? It isokay to want to be recognized, butnot to the extent that you will do any-thing for recognition, to the extent ofcommitting a sin or hurting someonein to get what you want.

A mind fixated on the world sys-tem and the flesh is what leads toanxiety, worry, emptiness, and rest-lessness.

E.L.P.S. is often defined by theacronym, Having Enough LovingPeople Serving. As such theemphasis is usually placed on the

words Enough and/or Loving. Both wordsplay equally significant roles in the wholeWorship experience. However, we will focuson the word Service.

In the mid 1980’s, a small airline companycalled People’s Express began focusing ongetting customers to their destinations faster, for less. They decided that Americans wantedfewer perks and lower costs. They made theairline ticket purchase process similar to thatof buying a Greyhound bus ticket. If youwanted snacks and a soft drink on the flight,it would cost you extra. The planes weresmaller and the seats similar to those on achartered bus. In other words, “just the barenecessities”-style, expeditious travel took theplace of service, convenience and luxury.

The only problem was that the airline didnot properly assess the core of what theAmerican public really wanted (and stilldo)….SERVICE! Their misconception costthem their business and they eventually filedChapter 11 bankruptcy. You see, we can toler-ate fast food and drive-thru shortcuts in somethings. But when it comes to most things, wewill not skimp on service. Now, if the worldhas that much sense, surely we, the Church

should as well. People coming into ourchurch deserve to be served and treated to thebest possible worship experience! If theywere the Queen of Sheba, their very breathshould be taken away by the sheer executionof our service! But because God is a God ofdivine order, this experience first starts withrecognizing the spiritual authority Jesus hasset in the Church. We only qualify ourselvesto serve Him by our willingness to serve oth-ers. Jesus is our model.

“We must be willing to unashamedly andfervently serve the ministry gift of the pastoror whoever the overseer or visionary is.”

Make no mistake, this is not a step that wecan skip. Are you finding yourself defeated in

your ministry effectiveness? Do you feel likeyou are going around in circles, having noimpact or consistent anointing? Check yourservice!

God will not violate His spiritual law ofstewardship St. Luke 16:10-13 says . “He whois faithful in what is least is faithful also inmuch; and he who is unjust in what is least isunjust also in much. Therefore if you havenot been faithful in the unrighteous mam-mon, who will commit to your trust the trueriches? And if you have not been faithful inwhat is another man’s, who will give you whatis your own?

“No servant can serve two masters; foreither he will hate the one and love the other,

or else he will be loyal to the one and despisethe other. You cannot serve God and mam-mon.”

I’ve heard it said, “A lesson not learnedmust be repeated.” Many times, helps work-

ers or parishioners are frustrated in ministrybecause they are trying to serve God in spiteof their service to others (Or the lack thereof).Sorry friend…it can’t be done. Until you walkobediently, humbly and genuinely in worshipunder your pastoral covering without maliceor jealousy, you can never see the fullness ofwhat God wants to do in the House.

“Service is not a Four Letter Word!”Many of us, especially the races of us who

have had to deal with the tyranny of slavery inthe annals of our fore parents’ history, oftenhave a problem with this area. Whenever Iteach in the arena of service mindedness, Ican see people balk in the spirit. It’s not untilI make the following statement that I seethem breathe a sigh of relief: There is a differ-ence between service and servitude. For sup-

port of this statement, let’s go to the dictio-nary’s definition for both words. Service isdefined as: Employment in duties or work foranother. Servitude is defined as: Submissionto a master; forced labor imposed as a punish-ment.

Do you see the difference? Service meansemploying. Employing means wages! Wagesmeans compensation! Hallelujah, there is abenefit in service! We may not get compen-sated in terms of money all the time (althoughI believe in blessing God’s ministers). But wecan rest assured that our heavenly timecardwill account for our deeds done. It is a slap inthe face of God to serve mammon (secularemployment, volunteer organizations, etc.)with vigor, excitement, willingness andenthusiasm, yet sigh and complain whenasked to do anything in God’s House. Jesus isour example: For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of Himthat sent Me” (John 6:38). Does servingsomeone else in ministry excite you? Itshould. It’s our reasonable service! —EIF

Betty and I have been pros-perous over the years and it wasn’tan accident. It was diligence to fol-low protocol. Second Corinthians9:6, “But this I say, he who sowssparingly will also reap sparingly.”Now it is not written in there, butit is implied. He that sows nothingwill reap also nothing. So if youdon’t like what you have beenreceiving, check up on what youhave been sowing because it is thesowing that causes the harvest.

Verse 6, “But this I say, hheewwhhoo ssoowwss ssppaarriinnggllyy wwiillll rreeaapp aallssoossppaarriinnggllyy. HHee wwhhoo ssoowwss bboouunnttiiffuull--llyy wwiillll aallssoo rreeaapp bboouunnttiiffuullllyy..”” Theball is in our court. I love it becauseat one time I thought it was all upto God. On the contrary, the bless-ing plan is already in operation, butit has to be initiated by us. God setup the system to work, but we initi-ate the system. We cause it to workor not to work. Not Father God.

How do I build up my faith to believe for prosperity in my life?
