What Is WInkI

Winki is an MSI self-developed Linux distribution for MSI’s proprietary mainboards. The quick boot Winki provides Internet browser, instant messenger, Skype, photo viewer and so on. Without entering the Microsoft Windows, you can still access the basic func-tions that often use.

ImportantYou can enter Winki OS from attached DVD or your USB key installed with Winki OS.

Put the attached DVD to the DVD drive.Reboot and enter the BIOS by pressing “Delete” under POST screen.Select to boot from DVD drive and reboot.The Winki boot screen appears as below.Select “Winki, full-featured Winki” and press “Enter”.

EntErIng thE WInkI from Your usB flash DrIVE

ImportantUsing �GB or up USB flash drive is recommended. Please backup your data in ad-vanced or the Winki installer will format your USB flash drive.

Insert your USB flash drive to your computer.Put the attached DVD to the DVD drive.Reboot and enter the BIOS by pressing “Delete” under POST screen.Select to boot from DVD drive and reboot.The Winki boot screen appears as below.Select “Winki, Start with Winki installer” and press “Enter”.

Make sure that you backup your data in advanced. Then, click “Yes” to continue.8.

Photo ViewerThe built-in photo viewer can let you view your photos saved in the USB device.

Click Refresh to show all the USB devices.

When mouse over the USB de-vice, click it.

When the USB device is selected, click the photo browser to view the photos.

ImportantDo not remove the physical USB device when it is selected or it would cause the data loss or damage.

Right click the USB device to re-move.

The USB flash drive installed with Winki can be used for other MSI mainobards. If your friend wants to experience the amazing Winki, you can lend him your USB flash drive. However, you should clear your personal data such as Internet cookies or registration for security issue in advanced.

Power off your computer.Insert your USB flash drive to your computer.Power on your computer and select to boot from USB drive in BIOS.The Winki boot screen appears as below.
