The environment of this project is quite interesting; it used to be an old bus transit station that has been empty for a long period of time. My design concept is to combine the usage of internal and external spaces; in order to make the whole space smoother, the “golden Ratio of Nautilus” was used as the design’s starting point. Combining the inside walls and the outer ring extends the moving line outwards, bringing the internal space more closely to the outdoor. Using mosaic tiles on the main wall, collages the concept of impressionist painter’s design, and their unique literary tastes.

The default setting of the resident area would be right against the seashore. The design improves the completeness and unity of external spaces, and creates the charm of extension from inside to outside, and combines more diversity into the designed area in order to let the living residents initiate their own custom living space. The most special part about this design is that it integrates the presence of every wall and glass, the alternate use of these two different materials makes the space more penetrating. Natural lighting is a big part of this design, with eco energy controlling system. In the day time, the sun would shine into every corner of the room and residents will also be able to see reflect of blue ocean water, with thoughtful usage of material and color, this health and wellness center would be a lively and comfortable place to live in.
