Heliot Restaurant, Bar & Lounge is set in the areas that were the Dress Circle and the private boxes of the original

Frank Matcham designed theatre.

It was the first theatre to include the revolutionary cantilever method of construction, therefore reducing the need for pillars.

Heliot offers a high energy restaurant, cocktail bar and lounge with private dining rooms and entertainment at the heart of the Casino.

The Casino and Heliot Restaurant are available for parties and events including

Cocktail & Canapés parties, day and night meetings, screenings and product launches from 12 - 600 guests in our private rooms,

lounge and event spaces.

Château d’Astros Rosé Côte de Provence France £7.40 £30.00Current chief at D’Astros, Bernard Maurel, is the 7th generation of his family to live at the Château and makes typically Provencal wines: pale and refreshing with cool, subtle red fruit flavours.

The medium to full-bodied palate is crisp, very tight and very concentrated with a very long finish giving some minerality. 97 Points, Wine Advocate.”

Corton Charlemagne, Grand Cru 2008, Domaine Patrick Javillier, Burgundy France £200.00Beautiful, pure, fresh and delightful, with superb balance right from the start. This has a terrific depth of fruit, a sense of grace and harmony with a lovely mineral finish.

Batard Montrachet, Grand Cru, Domaine Henri Boillot France £300.00 This Bâtard-Montrachet Grand Cru was the last vineyard to be picked by Henri Boillot in 2006, and this shows in the wine’s luxuriant style with its deliciously weighty palate and heady mix of ripe pears. Rich, heavenly and decadent aromas waft from the glass like dry ice in a Lloyd Webber musical. The palate has majestic girth and a stunning, long finish. Intoxicating!

Le Montrachet, Gran Cru 2000, Domaine des Comtes Lafon, Burgundy France £1,000 Exquisite and harmonious stone-fruit nose, with fine oak. Very concentrated, a touch austere, packed with extract. Still very youthful, with a sensationally long, chewy finish. Impeccable. This is a big Montrachet, even by the imposing standards that Montrachet typically brings to bear.

J. Fernando Macabeo - Cabernet/Tempranillo Spain £20.00Groundbreaking red from La Mancha. They manage to keep their reds fresh by harvesting in the cool of night and very quickly. Beautifully balanced and structures.

La Croix Carignan/Merlot IGP de l’Herault France £5.80 £22.00Carignan is the most interesting red grape in the Languedoc when farmed correctly. This is from relatively low yielding fruit and has the characteristic, hedgerow fruit, garrigue and racy acidity. The Merlot adds some plumpness on the mid-palate and a sweet fruit finish.

Burlesque Zinfandel, Lodi California USA £6.80 £24.00A full bodied Zinfandel, packed with damson fruit flavours with a twist of black pepper. Wonderfully balanced, ripe, and velvety smooth.

Berry Bros & Rudd’s Good Ordinary Claret France £7.50 £27.002009 was a great vintage across the board in Bordeaux. This wine is juicy, succulent and quite frankly the best vintage Berry Bros have had to date.

Huia Pinot Noir New Zealand £50.00Huia has quickly gone on to become synonymous with quality. Intense berry and cherry aromas. On the palate these characters blend with the smokey, spicy oak.

Dinastia Vivanco Rioja Reserva 2005 Spain £53.00Mature black and red fruit with some balsamic and eucalyptus notes. This wine has intensity and balance, soft, round tannins, and a long finish with hints of toast and liquorice.

Les Tourelles de Longueville 2007, Pauillac France £85.00A deep, purple colour with an enticing nose of strawberry, blackcurrant and fresh roses. Silky tannins give a more ‘ready-to-drink’ style, packed with toasty vanilla notes and an unmistakable elegance.

Marchand & Burch Pinot Noir Mount Barrow 2009 Australia £95.00Bright cherry and red fruits are supported by a warm complexity, silky texture and finely layered tannins.

Château Batailley, 5ème Cru, Pauillac, Bordeaux 2000 France £100.00A fine blackberry and raspberry nose with good definition and fruit concentration. The palate is very pure with good delineation and acidity, great harmony and cohesion with a solid mass of fruit at its heart. Blackberry, cassis, wild hedgerow with a touch of blueberry towards the finish.

Finca Dofi 2008, Alvaro Palacios, Priorat Spain £120.00Composed of 60% Garnacha with the balance Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, and Merlot aged in 100% new French oak. Aromas of sandalwood, Asian spices, incense, and black cherry lead to a forward, sexy offering with plenty of spice and floral notes.

Monte Bello 2007, Ridge Vineyards, Santa Cruz, California USA £160.00A retaste of the flagship wine, the 2007 Monte Bello reveals a dense ruby/purple wine with a floral, blueberry, and earthy cassis nose and elegant mid-weight flavors with impressive purity and classicism.

Château Montrose 1995, St Estèphe, Bordeaux France £200.00Excellent red-ruby color. Plum, currant, animal fur, smoked game, roasted nuts and graphite on the nose, plus a note of toffee. Firm acidity gives the wine superb delineation and grip.

Vega-Sicilia Unico 2000, Ribera del Duero Spain £350.00The rich crimson colour leads to a rich and spicy palate with generous black fruit, clove and pepper spice and a rich almost savoury finish. Javier and Pablo compare it to 1996, 1994, 1986 and 1970, all of which are drinking beautifully now in various stages of their evolution. An elegant and very successful vintage.

Château Haut Brion 1982 , Pessac-Leogan, Bordeaux France £1,000Superb weather conditions produced a great wine form a very large crop. The colour is still deep and youthful and the nose is almost baked or grilled as a consequence of the intense heat at vintage time.It is sweet and supple on the palate with fabulously ripe tannins, which will keep the wine for another foranother 20 years.

Journeys End Single Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon Australia £80.00Young and fresh with no shortage of plum, cassis and mint on the nose. Juicy and bright on the palate, the blackcurrant fruit is matched with spicy oak and ripe tannins.

St Cosme Côtes du Rhône France £85.00An opaque purple black with a rich nose of cherry, leather and wet rusted metal, it is lip-smacking good; full of chocolate, cherry, metal/mineral notes with medium to full body and a lovely finish. A real crowd pleaser.

Dinastia Vivanco Rioja Reserva Spain £100.00Mature black and red fruit with some balsamic and eucalyptus notes. This wine has intensity and balance, soft, round tannins, and a long finish with hints of toast and liquorice. Rioja lovers will not be let down.

Secua Chardonnay Dulce Vino de la Tierra Castilla Spain £5.00 £22.50The nose dominates the white overripe fruit notes (peach and apple). Long deep and unctuous wine. But in the mouth the wine is not predominated by sugar but the acidity is accompanied by some notes underscoring fat, but perfectly integrated into the wine.

Château du Levant Sauternes France £7.00 £30.00The second wine of the highly-rated Château Liot in Barsac, this wine is fruity and filled with aromas of dried apricot and honey. The palate is luscious and tropical. Delightful!

Royal Tokaji Late Harvest 2009 Hungary £39.00Delicate flowery nose, showing hints of white peach. On the palate it is of medium weight, sweet but with a good acid balance. Flavours of exotic fruits and clean finish of medium length.

Royal Tokaji Gold Label 2007 Hungary £93.00Intensely sweet, with lush flavours of caramelised peel, barley sugar, tangerines and peach, all balanced by piercing acidity. Fascinating nuances of cinnamon and clove, and a mineral finish.

Royal Tokaji Mezes Maly 2003 Hungary £180.00An apricot bomb on the nose with hints of plums, quince and exotic fruits. One can also smell the dust of loess on the nose. Very rounded, beautifully balanced and elegant.
