  • La Cave de Joël Robuchon is a refined wine library created by the great French chef Joël Robuchon (25 Michelin Stars). The Lebanese boutique, owned by Fawaz Holding Group, has the same mission as its Parisian subsidiary, which is to build and sustain long-term partnerships with wine growers who have been working for years with Joël Robuchon.

In our 2016-2017 catalogue, we invite you to discover a wide variety of wines & spirits that you can enjoy this festive season and all year-long.

For your celebrations, we have prepared a selection of luxury coffrets that combine our best wines and exclusivities, from France as from elsewhere. When it comes to Leba-non, it is mainly about Domaine de Baal - our exclusive partner since end of 2014 - recently rewarded by Robert Parker for its Red Vintage 2009, 2010 & 2011. The wine coffrets are presented in sophisticated leather cases to add a touch of elegance to your gifts.

For the amateurs and the connoisseurs, we also offer a premium digest of condensed editions and the most beautiful vintages featuring our “Coup-de-Coeur” labels, which bustle with history and gustatory qualities. We invite you to taste them first, by the glass at our terrace in Beirut Souks, with recommendations from our wine consultants, who are always at your service to guide you every step of the way.

Last but not least, La Cave de Joël Robuchon Lebanon is an extension of Joël Robuchon’s world; its restaurants, tea lounges and boutiques in Europe, Asia and America. As our privileged client, it will be of our greatest pleasure to assist you in discovering any of these locations at any occasion.

2016 was a great year for La Cave de Joël Robuchon. 2017 promises to be another prosperous year, where we will continue offering you the best experience around a glass of wine.

Interview with Sébastien Khoury (owner of Domaine de Baal)

After growing up in France in the region of Pauillac, what drove you back to Lebanon? S.K.: First reason was to finish university, then my father planted some vines in 1994 on lands he bought in the 1960›s. The idea of making my own wine instead of selling the grapes started to grow upDomaine De Baal is certified bio, why is it of importance for you and what does it mean for the consumers? S.K.: It is linked to my philosophy: to offer a high-quality, clean and natural product What would you suggest as local pairing with your wines? S.K.: The white goes very well with the mezze, the red with more complex plates (with lamb or beef), but a pairing with «samke 7arra» for instance would also be perfectHow do you see the next years for Domaine de Baal? S.K.: The production will increase every year but it will never exceed 40,000 bottles per year. In 2016, we have launched our new cuvee Le Petit Baal. Made out of Merlot mainly, it is the perfect wine for a chill-out gathering, as for a fine dinner. It illustrates the growing ambition of Domaine de Baal to diversify its cuvees and offer wine amateurs a broader experience around my vision of wine-making.

Domaine De Baal red 2009 and 2011 received a 90/100 from Robert Parker
