The mostly soils in Barbaresco, along with its slightly milder climate results in wines with noticeably less

Barolo is actually the fruitiest and most full-bodied of all the Nebbiolo regions in Northern Italy. When

Nobile can only be produced from vineyards surrounding the town of Montepulciano in Southern Tuscany.

Tenuta San Guido

Sassicaia is normally about 85% Cabernet Sauvignon and 14% Cabernet Franc. It is made in a simple fashion way, fermented in stainless-steel, temperature-controlled vats and then aged for up to 24

months in two-thirds new French oak barrels. The winemaking process has been pretty much the same since the Incisa della Rocchetta family started

using stainless steel vats in the early 1980s.

Messorio, a Merlot monovarietal, is Le Macchiole’s crown jewel. Its initial vintage was 1994, and since

then it has received extraordinary acclaim, The name Messorio refers to the ancient Tuscan practice of

wheat harvesting, the most important time of the year in the Bolgheri countryside – once it referred to wheat; these days, it is all about grape harvesting.
