Crime Stoppers is a partnership of the “public”, “police” and “media” which provides the community with a proactive program for people to anonymously assist the police in solving crime, contributing to an improved quality of life

Crime Stoppers consists of three partners

• Police… who investigate the tips

• Media…publicize crimes and fundraisers

• Community…provides the tips, volunteers and financial support

What is Crime Stoppers

• Is a charity, not a Police program (zero public funding)

• Receive anonymous information (tips) about crimes that have or are about to happen

• Tips are forwarded to Police agencies to investigate

• If successful you could earn cash $$$$$$

to “caller ID” or “call display”

• We do not ask your name, address or phone number

• You do not have to go to “court”

How does it work• Crime tip-(phone, web-tip or text tip)

• Tipster is issued a

code #.• Tipster advised to

call back in a set number of days.

• Tip forwarded to Investigators.

• If suggested for Reward - call back after Board meeting.

• Coordinator presents tip/reward to Board

• Board approves reward.

• Tipster given directions for payment.
