A More Demanding Labor Market

• In 1973, the Passport was High School Diploma. *72% of the workforce had no more than a high school degree
• In 2013, the Passport is Education beyond High School *Nearly 60% of today’s workforce has at least some college.

Prepare Career Ready Learners
College for All does not mean everyone needs a B.A. Even in this decade most jobs do not require a B.A.

Go Build Alabama
There are 450,000 openings in trades, transportation and utilities. The skills gap is real, and it’s getting wider. In Alabama, a third of all skilled tradesmen are over 55. They’re retiring fast, and no one is there to replace them.
Go Build campaign is designed to educate young people on the value of learning a trade, dispel their misconceptions about the construction industry and inspire them to consider building a career as a skilled construction tradesman.
