Mr. Peterson operated Shields Valley Grain for 27 years. He bought the Clyde Park and
Wilsall grain elevators in the early 1980s. Seed treating was done a long time ago and
utilized the fungicide Vitavax 200. Mr. Peterson doesn’t remember a bulk plant in Wilsall and
has no knowledge of USTs at the Clyde Park elevators. There was never any refueling of the
railroad conducted at the stations along the Shields Valley Branch line.

Mr. McGee was a brakeman and conductor on the Shields River Branch Railroad from 1930 to
1950. He indicated there was no refueling at any of the stations along the Shields Valley
Branch line. Regarding the bulk plant in Wilsall, he stated it was on the same track as the
grain elevators but couldn’t remember if it was to the north or south. He indicated there was
one tank at the bulk plant and it was used to store gasoline.
