Soaring Eagle Academy Awarded Grant Soaring Eagle Academy, a state of the art school for children with Autism, recently received a grant from the Million Dollar Round Table Foundation. Len Ruzak Honored Len Ruzak, one of the most involved longtime Burr Ridge resident was honored with a Proclamation by the Village Board. Len has served the Village as President, Trustee, Treasurer, Veterans Memorial Committee and Chair, Plan Commission, Board of Local Improvements, Economic Development Committee, Spaces Needs, Public Safety, 50th Anniversary Committee, Poplice Pension, Board of Police & Fire Commissioners, as well as endless hours of volunteer whenever and wherever needed! Definitely his dedication and enthusiasm cannot be matched. Congratulations! Summer Concert Series Begins The popular Burr Ridge summer concerts will start up again on the Fridays beginning June 5 with the Denny Diamond Trio. Police Warn of Phone Scams Phone scammers are calling residents and advising them that they have computer problems. The scammers advise that they are from your Internet provider, and attempt to get information from residents to fix their computers. The scammers are attempting to access your home computer remotely. The random phone number used by the scammers is (646) 612-3456. The Willowbrook Police Department advises residents not to accept random phone calls offering services, and to contact their internet provider directly if they believe there is a problem with their internet service. State Route 83 Overnight Lane Closures Overnight lane closures and daytime shoulder closings continue along Illinois Route 83, from Butterfield Road in Oakbrook Terrace on the north end to Knollwood Road in Willowbrook between 55th and 63rd Streets on the south end. Overnight lane closures will be from 8 p.m. until 5 a.m. Updates on the road construction impact on traffic are available online at travelmidwest.com
