Hello Willow,
This is the last of the Year 3 Home Learning newsletters. We have lots and lots of Literacy
tasks for you to consider. Think back to your best moments this year and get ready for the big
move to Year 4.
Your teachers are sad to see you go and they have prepared a farewell video which you can
watch on the school website. You have worked so hard this year and should be really proud of
your efforts.
Also this week are multiple maths tasks, art challenges and exercises for PE. Be sure to check
out the introductory videos from your new teachers as well.
Give the challenges a go and share your finished pieces of work to your teachers.

English – Transition Task
Complete all the challenges on
the attached Transition
Booklet.
There are a variety of
different tasks. Have a look
through and complete it at
your own pace.
Maths – Target Game
Build your own target
game with either a mat,
hoops or cones.
Give each area a
number and limited
number of balls or
other projectiles. How
much can you score?
PSHE – Year 3 Memories
Think back to your favourite memories of the
year and complete the attached sheet.
Art – Fact Finder
Using the Artist Fact Sheets and your own
research create a fact file and collect images of
Piet Mondrian’s work.
Art – Abstract Art
Time to test your ruler skills and re-create a
piece or art inspired Mondrian.
Maths – Measure and Weight objects
Weigh and compare the weight of different food
and objects from around the house.

Complete the two attached SPAG tables
answering the questions in each of the boxes.
PE – Dice Exercise
Find a 6 sided dice.
Roll the dice then complete each challenge that
matches the number on the dice.

Maths - You are a Landscape Gardener and you have been asked to design a garden.
Challenge 1 - Plan and mark out your garden
Your garden is going to be 80 m2 but it can be any shape you wish.
However; you must put a fence around the outside at a cost of £2.50 per metre. Your
fencing budget is £120.
Design some shapes that cover an area of 80 m2 and choose your favourite. How much will it
cost to fence it?
