• In the coming years it’s estimated that there will be over 3-4 billion mobile devices in use.
It was also predicted that US retail mobile commerce sales will reach nearly $39 billion in 2013.
People use their mobile devices to connect with friends, family and businesses.
Additionally, consumers use their mobile devices to purchase products such as food.
90% of American adults have a have a cell phone. 58% have a smartphone. 30% have used their device to decide whether to visit a business such as a restaurant.

• Content Prioritization • Vertical Instead of Horizontal Navigation • Text & Graphics • Integration with Phone Functions • etc.

My RecommendationsFor my restaurant client’s first mobile site design I would suggest that we begin with the following practices as our number one goal is to be “Mobile Friendly”…!
!• Create site using HTML5!
• Determine what the client wants users to do when they visit the site from a mobile device!
• Install a mobile plugin!
• Create smart navigation!
• Write clear content!
• Avoid using too many images!
• Don’t rely on Flash or Javascript!
• Practice good (clean) design!
• Integrate phone functions!
• Integrate local and personal search functions
