William Lindenmuth(11/24/1949) I am blessed to work with Angels, The kids i work with are my greatest mentors. They may not be able to speak in words as we do but they have shown me avariety of ways of expressing themselves. My experiances working with thesekids have humbled me and shown me how to appreciate life's Simplest gifts, these things are what most take for granted until faced with serious lifesituation. Poetry allows an outlet for us to express from within feelings orthoughts we have nurtured and bring them to life in a printed modality.

A Different Point Of View Do you really know meThe person I can beCan you see through these eyesIf you could, what would you see?Can you feel my emotionsdo you judge me by my smileo r the sparkle of my eyesjust come inside awhiledo you know when i am happycan you feel it when i am sador when i am not feeling welland times when I am maddo you know what makes me happy?would you treat me like a friendcan you feel my frustrationfrom the signals that i sendDo I appear as a mysterysomeone you try to figure outdoes my existence seem hopelessare your perceptions filled with doubtDo you feel empathy for the things I cannotdo? If you truly look inside yourselfthis might apply to youIf you really want to know meTake a few steps in my shoesteat me as you treat yourselfrespecting all points of viewBe flexible and kind to meand you will find your wayrespect me for the person I ameach and every dayThe biggest reward in knowingis in finding out who you will beJust take a look inside yourselfand you will find a part of me William Lindenmuth

A Lady Of Poetic Reason Her words were soft like a summer breezeHer thoughts as gentle as the windPrinted or spoken to put the mind at easeEmoting deep feelings from withinWith love as her quest she sojourns through her rhymeTelling wondrous tales passionately placed in timeAs you read her thoughts on the printed pageThe wisdom of lost loveGentle passionate rageYou feel all the hurtYou bask in the warmth of her smileShe invites the curious hearted to stay for awhileCaught up in the rapture of loves soft melodyYou let yourself go easy and drift most gracefullyEasing through the fires of loves raging embraceShe dances with your inner soulTo a warm and caring placeWith sweet poetic reasonShe will slowly reel you inWith a smile warmed by the seasonFor true love to beginThere is no fear of leavingTrue loving hearts they will stayThe lady of poetic reasonHer true love will show the way William Lindenmuth

A Life Revisited I thought that I was here beforeAnd may have passed this wayIt all looks so familiarThe returning of a dayLike a moment of foreverFrozen here in timeAnother life revisitedBut is it really mine?I feel as if I have been hereI have visited for sureThe familiar air about meLike the tide returning to shoreCould it be me I am here to findOn this journey aloneTo seek a space familiarA place one might call homePerhaps I should take a rideTo find what lives withinFor there will never be an endingTill I know where to beginIt seems I have walked this roadIn another space in timeThe evening light will illuminateThis life forever mineI am dancing with remembrancesWalking with a memoryIs this another personDisguised so well as me?This song it sounds familiarA sweet haunting melodyI stand in a place revisitedBut is it really me? ? ? A Nights Journey When the late night shines upon meAnd I am just a yawn awayFrom entering my dreamlandSuch a lovely place to playWill I remember if I have been thereAre my thoughts sketchy at bestWhen I lay my head down to sleepFor an evenings night of restWhen my head it hits the pillowAnd I slowly fade awayTo escape into my dream worldTo lead my mind astrayThey seem so clear and vividWhile I live them in my mindBut the details become sketchyWhen awakened they are hard to findBut I travel back each night timeIn search for a perfect placeA fine nocturnal excursionAnd a view of your beautiful faceMy heart has joined this lovely rideIt has traveled this road beforeWalking hand in hand in the night skyRevisiting earth once moreWe’ll dance across constellationsTip toe along the starsWhile the evening skies become your eyesAnd I feel you near and afarThen suddenly we are fallingAnd the planets pass us byHolding on to each otherWhile we no longer flyOur lips they touch just one more timeI suddenly lie awakeReturning from a journeyI never knew I would takeIt all seems so wonderfulThat I close these eyes each nightAnd float away with my imagination

The heart navigates this flightSome times the ride is plenty roughWaking up in a cold cold sweatRecalling that you cant dance in the big dipperWithout getting your big toes wetNow I lay me down to restAnd these eyes will slowly closeReady for my night time journeyBut to where? , nobody knows William Lindenmuth

Believing BelievingBy Bill Lindenmuth 12/06/13We all believe in somethingA dream that may come trueSomething to have faith inThe things we say and doWe all have faith in someoneWho will turn dark moments b rightLike a star shining down upon usOn a cloud filled winters nightWe hold on to our childhoodour sweetest memoriesWhere once we were uncertainHoping puts our minds at easeWe always find a heroIn every sacred prayerLife's problems will fade awayOn the breath of hope's fresh airWe still believe in things we cannot understandNo matter how it's explained to usFaith will make its standBelieve in all things that you can beFor there is always hope in a faith filled heartbelieving sets you free William Lindenmuth

Beyond Flesh And Bone If I could see the world in a different wayHere's what i would doI would cast away my flesh and bonesfor energy pure and trueI would take in everything aroundfrom the petals of a flowerright down to the groundFrom the top of a maple to its very roots, I would find out what it's all about.I would attach myself to butterfly wingand flutter my day awayI 'd immerse myself with dolphinsfeeling the water as I swim all dayI would capture the essence of a yellow rose, and scatter myself in the airI would travel to the stars and backand the suns rays i would shareTo a mountain top i will riseand taste the driven snowand slide right down the other sideas part of springs thawing flowOn salmons scales i would sing my tunefloating upstreamcapture the darkside of the moonand visit my inner dreamson eagles wings i would touch the cloudscatching rainbows in my veinsto glide and soar on thermal windsabove the grassy plainsand when I return to my previous formI surely hope i will bea better person for it,One with the vision to see William Lindenmuth

Butterfly Dreamer Majestic dreamer fluttering gracefully above each open petalFiery orange and black as you pass through a bright autumn skyBriefly visiting on your way to destinations unknownRestless wanderer, turning nighttime into day traveling to placesUnknown to you and places unimaginableFloating without effort where the morning light serves as your next stopOn a stream of consciousnessThe sweet scent of jasmine draws you closer as you briefly touchdownThen you gently scatter the dust of life on an unsuspecting soulWings become still momentarily, then off into your seeminglyEffort less flight, into the darkness you travel guided by heavenly lightOnward in your journey in search of the perfect dreamYour quest continues in both darkness and in lightEver closer, with each passing moment, visions become reality in theWaking cycle of our lives, autumn settles in, a celebration of seasons pastVibrant colors from our experiences now on displayThe butterfly settles down in its final destinationFlowers bloom in the midst of a fiery sunsetThey await your graceful arrival William Lindenmuth

Colors Vibrant arc across the sky,Spectral colors ascending, dancesFar beyond the reaching eyeTo find its end will take all chances. Like a heart of many colors,Emotions fill a hollow soul. From the gentleness of beingHappiness will be my goal. Gentle winds, white clouds dancing,Stroll across a clear blue sky.Their images forever changingA shining sun as time goes by. Let me bathe now in your colors;Immerse me in your gentle light.Shower all you meet with kindness,As day reaches into night. Connecting dots on constellations,Pictures drawn on cobalt skySlowly sink towards the horizonOrion’s Belt has passed me by. Morning’s light has softly broken; The earth awakens with a smile.Flower petals reaching outwardHope this light will stay awhile. I raise my head up from my pillow,Wipe my eyes to clear this sleep.Sitting, standing, slowly risingAbsorbing colors I will keep. William Lindenmuth

Do You Know Me? ? ? ? ? Do you really know me?There isn't much to knowA truly simple personGoing with the ebb and flowLike a lost wave on the oceanRolling toward the shoreBreaking on a sandy beachCould I ask for something moreColor me optimisticWith subtle shades of dismayTo maintain a sense of balanceWith the blessings of another dayDo you know me from the insideThose secrets that dwell withinWhere thoughts are never endingNever knowing where they beginA single thought invites meTo other thoughts releasedThey cleanse my inner beingAnd bring a sense of peaceDo you really know me?As time just drifts on bySpreading wings and memoriesOn gossamer wings they flyEach day becomes a blessingEvery moment lends us much moreWith a chance to be that wandering waveThat finally comes ashore William Lindenmuth

In A Child's Voice Listen to the voice of a childYou will hear the wisdom of the agesA book ready to be writtenFilled with many unwritten pagesLearn from their innocenceHonestly brutal but realFor they haven’t yet been tarnishedtelling you exactly how they feelSo simple yet so wise they speakfeelings never compromisedFor whatever words they speak to youYou should not be surprisedListen to the voice of a childYou can always feel their painThey will always bring you sunshineWhen the world is filled with rainTheir laughter is the musicThat comes straight from the heartSo learn to sing their praisesRejoice in every partNever let that child withinEscape or get awayFor every child is a part of usEach and every dayListen to the voice of a childHear each and every wordFor every question asked of youFrom sublime to the absurdThere are many lessons to be taughtAnd dreams to be realizedWe learn from each other every dayYet we always act surprisedIf we listen a little bit closerYou will hear that inner childA lifetime of knowledgeMostly tame but occasionally wildIn a world that’s constantly changingYou can always find a choiceIn the wisdom of our childhood

In Blue The evening sky rests upon a cobalt blue comforterAs pinpoints of light descended downward through the heavensConstellations standing steadfast in a slow driftAs the earth rotates slowly beneath themFrom Orion to Ursa MajorThey stood together for the casual viewerI have often wondered how that star that stands aloneFeels in its seclusionSometimes the loneliest star shines the brightestBut will we appreciate its beauty?Lost in a cast of “billions”Some have long burned outAppearing only as a memoryPassed on from light years awayDiamonds that glitter in an endless skyA voice that drowns in its silenceAs planets tiptoe slowlyan eternal dance unfoldsIn Blue William Lindenmuth

Inside When the inside world comes outWhat in the world were you thinkingWere you always filled with doubtWith emotions forever sinkingDoes a smile touch a tortured soulRenewing the spirit from withinFrom the inside worldTo the outside looking inWhen the outside worldLives withinCan you cope and take it’s paceOr do you slow it downTo a modest and bearable paceDo you filter out the thingsOr the bearers of bad newsLetting the negatives drainWhile you’re walking in their shoesDo send the positive outShare the warmth of what you feelTo thaw out negativityAnd the damages unconcealedWhen the inside world comes outYour smile seems warm and trueIt’s wonderful for you to shareThat inside part of you William Lindenmuth

Inspiration Light Each morning is a blessingA sunrise that we’ve earnedAnother day to live againAnother lesson learnedA time to share a precious smileA time to touch someoneTo accept all that is givenWhile we reach out to the sunThere’s a world of wonder around usEmbrace its heavenly lightDeep within we find inspirationA chance to make things rightA breath within a heart beatA tear within a smileA step in the right directionTo walk that perfect mileAll the energy within usAnd the power that surroundsThe strength of the human spiritTo turn your life aroundIt is the presence of the momentAnd the absence of the pastTo take the next step forwardTo the good times that will lastTo ride the wave that carries usThrough the changing tides of our dayTo help us float when we begin to sinkOr whenever we start to strayMay we find the strengthThat lives inside to give us inner sightBasking in the warmth within ourselvesOur inspiration light William Lindenmuth

Into The Light (An Ode To A Mahogony Tree) Like a still life at dawnBefore the winds appearThe sunlight touches softlyCaressing one so dearYour graceful limbs reach outTo touch the distant starsSunlight caresses each glistening leafReaching from afarAs the day progressesYou stand tall in the lightCasting a gentle shadowSeparating day from nightYou sway and dance to the musicOn a light and gentle breezeHypnotic in your movementYou put the mind at easeIn the softness of early summerTrue colors will appearThe essence of who you areColors rich and clearAs we paint the world with colorIn the shortening of our daysYou reach out even furtherTo absorb golden raysIn the autumn of a life timeColors glow then fall awayBut gentle limbs and sturdy trunkRemain for all the dayas the winter passesYour colors are reborngentle branches reaching outto touch the light at dawnanother day of livingdancing on a gentle breezewe stop and we think aboutwhat puts our minds at ease William Lindenmuth

Just For A Moment Stop the world, things move too fastWhile trying to make the good things lastPrecious moments they slip on byPlease slow it down I try I tryJust for a momentLet the world stay the sameI am tired of this rat race gameI just want time to think and breatheInhale exhale Then relieveThe world is in a hurried rushWe lose ourselves Fall out of touchThe simple things have come and goneJust for a moment, from this moment onJust for a lifetimeHow long will that beIt isn’t up to you or meSo take each as if it were the lastAnd slow it down Don’t move too fastAs we walk this road togetherAround each winding turnI will hold your hand foreverFor the eternity that I yearnJust for a momentWhen your heart is in my handsA loving smile remembersThis loving soul understands William Lindenmuth

Outside This Solitude Inside this moment of solitudeEnraptured by pure thoughtin a contemplative moodA purely mental sportthough it may not be a gameThat any mind should playIt truly is an exerciseThat forms my thoughts todaySometimes I think I am better offTo create my own clean slateBut my mind is agile and catches upMy reaction far too lateA simple little joustaboutIn the meeting of a mindWhere it seems the deeper that you lookThe more that you will findA journey of your memoriesWasted time in spaceFor they don't affect the futureBut I guess they have their placeSo maybe I should take a breakAnd join the human paradeIn search of true realityNo self induced charadeAnd take the time to appreciateOur ever changing moodAnd appreciate the life we haveOutside this solitude William Lindenmuth

Pink Badge Of Courage She wears a pink ribbon for her loved onesShe braves the toughest of fightsWearing it as a badge of courageWhile the battle goes on day and nightAn unwanted visitor seeking a hostA relentless enemy to beShe fights through it allWith her spirit on callWith the strength that will help set her freeShe may give up a part of herselfIn the midst of her noble fightBut the best parts remainAfter dealing with the painStrong without fear or frightWith family and friends to support herAnd the will to fight till it endsBreathing a sigh of relief in remissionIn their prayers she knows she can dependWith life too precious to surrenderAnd her will to live so much moreShe celebrates life’s every momentHolding close the people she adoresRealizing the war is never overShe lives life one day at a timeMaking every moment count as she straddles that narrow lifelineShe embraces her life with a passionAs her heart and head lead with prideWith courage always in fashionWith all the strength she can muster insideGiven idle time to thinkBut she draws strength and courageFrom that beautiful ribbon of pinkFinding guidance from those who do love herLeaving all unpleasant thought far behindRealizing dark memories somehow remain in her mindCasting aside these dark demonsLiving life with a spirit so brightEmbracing all of her blessingsStanding in her own light

Raindrops Imagine yourself as a raindropSharing space in a cloudWill I be part of a morning showerOr the member of an angry crowdWill I fall to earth on a gentle breezeOr ride the currents of a stormWill I be cool or refreshingor steamy muggy and warmWill I bounce upon some rooftopOr touch the leaf of a treeRising along a storm surged tideSeeking some way to be freeWill I kiss the petals of a daisyAnd glisten in the sunOr fall into a lazy pondThat has no where to runWill I gently touch the soft brown earthSearching to find my rootsAttach myself to a passerbyWho is wearing rubber bootsWill I find myself in a glassas part of a lemonadeOr settled in a sheltered ditchAs a puddle in the shadeA raindrop's life is ongoingLike the angels tears Caressing the earthRising once again into the skyClouds symbolize rebirthJust imagine it for a momentAnd think of the rainbow in flightA raindropp divided into colorsBathed in heavenly light William Lindenmuth

The Color Of My Heart When the world ‘s a little darkerAnd I am searching for some lightWhen I take my self from darker blueTo a color warm and brightI think about the good timesAnd a smile forms on my faceTo the comforting color of my heartA most enchanting placeWhen all the walls are tumbling downAnd I am buried in my griefWhen it all looks so impossibleAnd far beyond beliefI turn back to that special placeAnd the comfort that lies thereTo the color of my heartAnd the love that it will shareWhen a smile is like a rainbowA bright inverted frownLifting me up in a burning warmthWhere true happiness can be foundWithout a rhyme or reasonAnd beyond what words can suggestI live by the color of my heartAnd the feelings I know best William Lindenmuth

Walking Back An angel walking back to heavenLeaving at 6 she will be home soonIf she hurries she will be home by 7Dancing across the gibbous moonPlanets and stars shine brightlyOn her trek across the skyHalo's glowing in the darknessWings expanded angels flyShe arrives on time to her destinationJust outside the "pearly gates"St Peter reaches to stamp her ticketShe finds she no longer waitsOn my way to heaven she singsFar beyond the starsI move gracefully without effortTimeless moments travelling afarI am home, I am safe and I feel no painReunited with my pastFaces long gone now are familiarTime stands stillBeyond all shadows cast William Lindenmuth

Whenever Whenever I’m feeling LonelyFeeling down and blueI think of a loving colorWith clearest visions of youWhenever the world is an ugly placeAs sometimes it can beI pretty it up with a smileAnd I think of you and meWhenever life gets hecticAnd I’m caught up in that rushI stop everything I’m doingAnd I feel your gentle touchWhenever this heart is breakingAnd the pain is too great to bearI think of a slow dance with youAnd precious moments we sharedWhenever I think about usSomething I often doI feel love everlastingLoving thoughts warm and trueWhenever I get wearyand things just aren’t rightI think about the good timesThe bad times just take flightWhenever I’m feeling really goodAnd I’m tingling deep insideI think about our journey’sA joy filled loving rideWhenever this heart is healingWhen all in the world is rightI think of having you close to meHolding you close and tightWhenever the night approachesI gaze at the first shining starFocusing on its eternal lightIt takes me where you are William Lindenmuth

Where I have often wonderedContemplated and thoughtAbout this world we live inDowntrodden and distraughtWhere negativity flowsLike a tsunamipositive thoughts become extinctAre we burying ourselves deeperIn the way we live and think Where finger pointing has become artIn our political tapestryit’s business as usualWreaked with dishonestyWhen leaders become followersWith their hands under the tableThe dollar pays for moralityour economy unstable The rich they are getting richerSay goodbye to the middle classIn the eyes of the righteous onesWe were meant to kiss their brassBut I see things a little differentlyI wont lose my point of viewFor soon the pendulum will swingAnd perspectives will change too A giant is awakeningI hear whispers on the changing breezeA new day will dawn for usthese moments we will seizepeople will surely see the worldbeyond their open eyesthey will learn to feel againwhen truth replaces lies a period of enlightenmentwhere the answer lies in caring

Where Love Can Be Found It is a quest of the heartAnd the spirit withinWhere all good things startThe end to all endsIt’s a dream that comes trueIn the middle of the nightOn the wings of loveWhen our heart takes flightIt’s the search of manyfound by a fewA pure simple visionEternally trueWhere love can be foundThe seeker might stateA place for the manyAnd a finder of fateIts friendship exploredTo a passionate endIt is openness trueWith arms that extendWhere a soft gentle toucha sweet caring smileWhere the heart can be foundIt will stay for awhileTwo spirits as oneUnited to shareCaptured voluntarilyAnd handled with careIt’s existential madnessWhere the mind meets the heartThe stirring of pure feelingsThat will not departWhere love can be foundSo simple but trueA place we call togethernessIt is me and you William Lindenmuth

Who I Am I am so much more Then you may know in many ways We are the same The differences make me who I am A player in a wonderful game Who I am Will make you smile And will sometimes make you cry But I have changed throughout my years From caterpillar to butterfly like each precious flower Reaching out toward the light I have blossomed and I’ve grown With a future clear and bright Who I am is truly more then the sum of all my parts I have shared and have connected With kind and caring hearts don’t let appearances fool you

Like the cover of a book Judge me by my actions Not by the way I look For within me there is a spirit The heart of my true being It makes me who I am making this world worth seeing William Lindenmuth

Why Did You Have To Go? can't believe you're goneWhy did you have to go? the heart has many questionsWith answers you'll never knowWe come to this earth as a rentalSurviving on a limited leaseWe make the most of time givenTill we are granted our final peaceYou are gone but not forgottenA sweet loving memoryA long chapter in your existenceWhen you meant everything to meIt doesn't seem fair that you should goMy heart hurts and it wonders whyBut through the pain I find the joyHeartfelt memories pass byThe empty space within my heartSlowly closes as it healsThe pain of loss lessensyour spirit will revealThe answer that I search forThough it may not satisfyHe left because it was his timeFor he lives and will not die William Lindenmuth

Without You I sat in dazed confusionNot knowing what to doSurrounded by my lonelinessTo live life without youMy life it lost all meaningThere’s a churning feeling insideI hope my heart can takeThis hurting bumpy rideI ‘ve walked these roads beforeWhile picking up the piecesIt’s a lonely walkThat seems to lead nowhereBut I’ll move onTill all this heartache ceasesI’ll live my lifeWithout youYou told me that you caredWho were you foolingYou used me for so longYou played me wellI chose to look awayMy eyes weren’t seeingI had existenceWithout beingAnd now that I fight backYou think I’ve changedYou sit and wonderAnd say I’m acting strangeWhat you are seeingIs truly meI took the time to openup my eyesI ‘ve learned to seeLife will go onYou’ll go your own wayAnd I’ll walk onAnd live my lifeWithout you

Woman A Work Of Art Her thoughts were fastened togetherwith the threads of her daily beingA tapestry of her life A work of art worth seeingShared by the strokes of an endless dreamBrushed with the colors of the heartflowing together like a river downstream, a living work of artShe painted her life with colorsA rainbow of emotions on the canvas of her yearsA sculpture of life ever changingfilled with laughter, heart ache and tearsA song so sweet yet incompletea harmony of feelings composed with loveVisions of her thought and her memoriesSparkling like the stars up aboveLike a symphony thats unfinishedwith many notes yet to be playedher song of life never diminishedBy the subtle mistakes she has madeThe mural of her life will showthe realization of her dreams pastwith gentle shades of the present and a future yet to be castAs she paints and sculptures, composing her lifeShe will surely come to seethe brilliant realization,a natural work of artand a living memory William Lindenmuth

You Lift My Heart You raise my spirit with a smileYou lift me higherThen I deserve to beWhen I am feeling downYou take me by the handYou lift this heartTo higher groundWithout a single wordWithout a soundWhen my world is tumbling downYou stop the turningWhen things are looking bleakYou find the lightYou catch each tear that fallsYou kiss it dryYou hold me close to youAnd then I sighYou lift this heartYou take me higherYou guide me toThe place I want to beYou raise my spiritsYou help me believeYou lift my heartthese eyes can seeSome days I scare myselfWith unwanted fearsI stood there shakingFor so many yearsIt happened all insideI kept it hiddenBut you looked at meAnd your eyes could seeYou came to lift my heartAnd hold my handTo help me look insideAnd now I understandJust who I really amYou set me free
