The opening and dedication of the Anya Nitz Pak (Sunrise Park)below Indian Hill in April of 2011 completed the final phase

of the Yuma East Wetlands Park System.

These two images, from a full day of celebrations, shows thearrival of the Quechan Head Start classes, walking through the

park’s main gate, as well as the Spirit Runners, bird singers,traditional dancers, elders and Tribal officials gathered

around the parks central plaza at the time of the dedication.
