Command Sergeant Major (CSM): Principal advisor to the commander on the state of morale, discipline, and training of soldiers within the battalion. Works with battalion to ensure that: -correct information about training, special events, is passed up and down the chain of command. CSM also oversees the training and performance of the Color Guard at special events, ensures formations and drill / ceremony are executed. Attends weekly battalion command and staff meetings, and performs all other duties as assigned by the Battalion Commander.

Senior enlisted advisor to the Commander Carried out policies and standards of the performance, training, appearance and conduct of enlisted

personnel. Advised and initiated recommendations to the commander and staff in matters pertaining to the local Non

Commissioned Officer support channel. Supervised 570 officers and enlisted in total, to include 6 Command Sergeant Majors at the Battalion level

and their personnel. Handpicked by US Army John F. Kennedy special warfare center to train all branches of enlisted services

and deploy in skill level civil affairs and Psychological operations in support of Iraqi freedom.
