Willard Wigan, the man behind the smallest sculpture in the world This is the best day for me to write again about art. Now I want to talk about sculpture. I thought we all familiar with kind of this artwork. Sculpture is part of art where we can see this in every direction. It mean we can see this from behind, both sides of left and right, in the front and from above. Because it has 3-dimensional shape. Sculpture is always beautiful and it has many themes, like: Symbolism: it has a meaning representation. Constructivism: depiction of sculpture in all geometric forms. Robot Art: a sculpture which visualized in rigid and static form Abstract: idealism of a sculptor to make a different shape based the idea in their mind. Realism: how to make a sculpture like a real thing. Another sculpture style, such as: Cubism, Futurism, minimalist, contemporary, installation and Pop art. The structure of sculpture as the most important part of sculptor: There is no great art, regardless of the rule, I mean the composition or a layout. The elements of existing works birth to the value of beauty. In an abstract sculpture arrangements focused on the principal elements. Basic elements arranged in an abstract sculpture including: line, color, shape, space, texture and light dark. This must be exists in every sculpture. The composition (layout) or structuring element of sculpture, must pay attention to the things, like: balance, characteristic, shape or dimention, motion or rythme, proportion, harmony and unity. We can see many famous sculptors in the Greek classic era, like: Phidias, Myron, Polikleitos, Praxiteles, Lysipos. There are many famous sculptors in modern era, like: Auguste Rodin, Paul Manship, Carl Milles, Henry Moore, Alberto Giacometti. Nowadays, contemporary art began to develop rapidly, the statue could be a kind of "performance art". Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, George Rickey and Andy Warhol are some of the contemporary sculptor. The smallest sculpture in the world There's something weird which attract me much related with sculpture. I thought we have seen many types of sculpture in various shape. And I believe most of these sculptures in the common size, even the big size. But have you ever seen the smallest sculpture in the world? Many people call this micro sculpture. Actually this is new term for me. I never knew about this until I find all informations about micro sculpture around the internet. Even with an unreasonable comparison. That's made this artwork so special and different with other sculpture in the world. This sculpture also gave me an idea to write more deep about who is the man behind this creation. Welcome to world of unusual artwork. I hope we can appreciate this sculpture like another art. I believe he is very talented person and he has a big patience to make such of this art. Are you curious with him? Please continue to read..............

This is the best day for me to write again about art. Now I want to talk about sculpture. I thought weall familiar with kind of this artwork. Sculpture is part of art where we can see this in everydirection. It mean we can see this from behind, both sides of left and right, in the front and fromabove. Because it has 3-dimensional shape. Sculpture is always beautiful and it has many themes, like:

Symbolism: it has a meaning representation.

Constructivism: depiction of sculpture in all geometric forms.

Robot Art: a sculpture which visualized in rigid and static form

Abstract: idealism of a sculptor to make a different shape based the idea in their mind.

Realism: how to make a sculpture like a real thing.

Another sculpture style, such as: Cubism, Futurism, minimalist, contemporary, installation and Popart.

The structure of sculpture as the most important part of sculptor:

There is no great art, regardless of the rule, I mean the composition or a layout. The elements ofexisting works birth to the value of beauty. In an abstract sculpture arrangements focused on theprincipal elements. Basic elements arranged in an abstract sculpture including: line, color, shape, space, texture and light dark. This must be exists in every sculpture. The composition (layout) orstructuring element of sculpture, must pay attention to the things, like: balance, characteristic, shape or dimention, motion or rythme, proportion, harmony and unity. We can see many famoussculptors in the Greek classic era, like: Phidias, Myron, Polikleitos, Praxiteles, Lysipos. There aremany famous sculptors in modern era, like: Auguste Rodin, Paul Manship, Carl Milles, Henry Moore,Alberto Giacometti. Nowadays, contemporary art began to develop rapidly, the statue could be akind of "performance art". Marcel Duchamp, Alexander Calder, George Rickey and Andy Warhol aresome of the contemporary sculptor.

Biography of Willard Wigan

Willard Wigan was born in Birmingham, England in 1957. He produces the smallest sculpture in theworld in Jersey. This is a blessing for someone who has experience with dyslexia in the past. But henow came up with the real micro sculptures which create a beauty in microscopic size. He alwaysworks especially at night when there is total quiet. Why did he choose at night? because of the noisewould be disturbing his concentration on creating sculpture. Commonly a human can only work at100 of resolution inch. Willard statue requires precision to 1/1000th inch scale. One work can be assmall as 0.005 mm (0.0002 in) - Wikipedia source. Wow...this is amazing for me. He is really great. For common people, it's difficult to achieve such this precision. I believe Willard Wigan is the onlyman in the world who can make such of this beautiful art work. Even we need a microscope to seethis sculpture in detail.

Willard has trained himself for many years to enter the meditation environment in which the heartrate and breathing rate become slowly. Then he synchronizes his movements with his surgicalblades or hand-made tools. Only talented person who has big patience can make this artwork. Everybreath has a lot of meaning. I heard that he may work for up to 22 hours without stopping to eat orsleep and occasionally without blinking for up to two hours. I found something out of ourimagination, like: Wigan uses grains of sand, dust fibres, gold and spider's cobweb. He also uses ahair from a dead housefly to paint his creations. I heard that one of Willard creations worthUS$40,000, some of them worth even more than a hundreds thousand dollars. He has sold his worksto David Lloyd, the former tennis player, Sir Elton John, Mike Tyson, Siegfried and Roy, etc. I hopewe can enjoy all the pictures and videos.
