Scholarship for the National IUG Conference

One of the purposes of WILIUG is to provide scholarship assistance to subsidize the costs (lodging, registration, meals, travel) of attending the IUG Conferences.

IUG 2017 Conference will be held in National Harbor, Maryland on April 3-5 (with optional pre-conference on Sunday, April 2). Learn more about it at: http://www.innovativeusers.org/ Registration begins November 16, 2016.

This year, the WILIUG Steering Committee will award two $325 scholarships. The scholarship is available to a library staff member who meets the following criteria:

Currently employed in a WILIUG member library/consortium Willing to participate in a future WILIUG conference to share knowledge gained Provides proof of registration for this year’s national IUG Conference Has not been a WILIUG scholarship winner in in the past 2 years.

Completed applications for the award should be sent via email to the WILIUG Chair, Steve Heser, Steve.Heser@mcfls.org by Friday, December 16, 2016. Applications will be evaluated by a working group of the WILIUG Steering Committee. The scholarship winner will be notified by Friday, January 13. IUG Early Bird Registration period closes on Friday, January 31, 2017. Funds will be disbursed after the WILIUG Secretary has received proof of registration for this year’s IUG Conference.
