Sarah Bishop, AustinBird With a Branch21" x 18"Collage, Gouache, Ink and PencilThe artist says: "starting with a drawing offlowers in crayon at the age of 2, I wantedto be an artist and was always makingthings. After earning a BFA from UT in1983, I embarked on dual careers asprofessional chef and designer, both ofwhich offered outlets for creativity and useof color, texture, and design. My currentwork involves the synchronicity amongcomponents with a strong emphasis ondesign. I re-use vintage paper and amdrawn to technical, scientific, geographical, and mathematical subjectsbecause they provide an abstract appeal toboth left- and right-brain aspects ofmyself. The natural environment (insects, animals, nests, grasses, plants, etc.) andvast expanses of West Texas are animportant source of inspiration for me."Fair Market Value $600Min Bid $200Bid Increment $50Buy it now $600 click here for proxy bid informationclick here for buy it now rules
