What is the “Spin”?
• 5 offensive lineman in standard splits
• 2 Wing backs in 1 by 1 alignment to the EMOLS (tackle or TE)
• QB in Shotgun
• FB in 1 by 1 alignment in front of QB
• Receivers and TE’s can line up in many different formations
Base Formations
• Doubles – 2 receivers
• Ace Right / Ace Left – 1 receiver, 1 TE
• Double Tight – 2 TE’s
Wing Back Basics
• Wing Backs go in motion one snap count ahead of the snap
• Our snap count is GO, SET, HIT, HIT• If play is on HIT, motion begins on SET
• Wing stance is outside foot forward, hands on thigh pads
• Pivot on inside foot, crossover with outside foot and sprint to QB’s hip for mesh
QB Basics
• Must time the cadence perfectly with the snap
• Secure the football and jab step forward with the foot opposite the motion
• Pivot on the jab foot and open to the Wing
• Mesh the football just like option
• Continue to spin into the rest of the play

• 3 front or 5 front?
• LB’s in gaps or stacked?
• Base Coverages?• How do they handle motion?
5-2 or 3-4 cover 3/4
• Formations – Doubles, Double Tight, Ace
• Sweep blocking w/ play action
• Blast blocking• Counter blocking w/ play action
• Reverse blocking
• Dive blocking
3-3 Stack cover ?
• Formations – Doubles, Double Tight, Ace
