• Bawat taong sangkot sa isang sitwasyon ay may kanya-kanyang field of experience na maaaring makaaapekto sa bisa ng komunikasyon. Samakatwid, the more sender and the receiver share a common field of experience, the more tendency for their communication to be effective.

• Field of experience – an individual’s beliefs, values, experiences and learned meanings both as an individual or part of a group.

• Ayon kay Schramm, para magkaroon ng komunikasyon sa pagitan ng enkowder at dekowder, they must have something in common.

• If the source’s and destination’s field of experience overlap, communication takes place. If there is no overlap or only a small area is in common, communication is difficult. If not, impossible. This overlapping field of experience is the area where effective communication occurs.

Mga sangkap at proseso sa modelo ni Schramm

• Ang mga sangkap ng modelong ito ay ang pinanggalingan(source), ang mensahe(message), at ang tagatanggap ng mensahe(destination).

• Ideally, the source encodes a message and transmits it to its destination via some channel, where the message is received and decoded.

• Kapag walang something in common sa pagitan ng field of experiences ng enkowder at dekowder, walang magaganap na komunikasyon, or worst, magkakaroon ng miskomunikasyon.
