Built from renewable resources of home grown timber, our design team has pioneered innovative steam bending techniques to create our Wigwams® which are insulated with mineral wool and wrapped in a breathable skin of Tyvek roo�ng membrane. Cladding consists of feather edged, 150mm boards cut from European Larch or Douglas �r which are treated and �xed to counter battens with a 50mm overlap. The Wigwam® comes in two sizes, Wee Brave (4.8m) and Big Chief (6.0m) with en-suite Running Water options available.

Our Wigwam® cabins are manufactured to the highest quality and standards in our Perth workshop and can be delivered anywhere in the UK fully assembled. No mess! No hassle! No fuss!

Manufactured by a skilled team in our Perth workshop to the highest standards Wigwams® are robust and have an expected lifespan similar to that of a modern home. The Wigwams® are constructed from steam bent timber frames and are wrapped in a breathable ‘skin’ of Tyvek® roo�ng membrane. The Wigwam® has white painted �reproof plasterboard linings and tough vinyl wood e�ect varnished �oors. The cladding consists of feather edged 150mm boards cut from home grown European Larch or Douglas �r. The boards are treated and �xed to counter battens, with a 50mm overlap to ensure a healthy, weather resistant and natural �nish.

Maintenance is simple; all we recommend is an exterior coat of wood stain every three to four years, and ongoing checks to ensure there is clear air passage under the cabin. Internal maintenance should also be easy and a quick coat of paint or varnish should deal with any normal wear and tear.

These Wigwams® are heap smart cabins! They’re green and environmentally savvy - as well as being extremely robust and durable. The breathable ‘skin’ of Tyvek® roo�ng membrane around them allows the condensation and moisture to escape, but keeps the warmth in. The walls, roof and �oor are fully insulated with a �exible, low density glass mineral wool which acts like a cosy quilt, creating a snug and protected environment inside. Together with the double glazed windows and electric heater these eco friendly features keep the cabins warm and toastie in even the worst that British weather can throw at them!

We started with 12 Wigwams® in 2006 and bought another 8 in 2011 - we’ve painted them every 4 years and they’ve not depreciated in that time - it’s a good innovative design with attention to detail - a genuine four season product.

& DeliverySite Preparation

Site preparation is normally minimal – levelled concrete slabs are ideal. If the ground is marshy you will need to lay a hard core base. Each Wigwam® has 6 feet which holds the building o� the ground and ensures continual ventilation of the structure, eliminating durability problems associated with ground contact. The Wigwams® are delivered fully assembled on a �atbed trailer and you will need a truck mounted crane or 3.5 ton agricultural forkli� for unloading. Being portable and self-contained they can easily be moved to other locations on site if required.

Once ordered the typical lead time for a Wigwam® is 8 to 10 weeks. They are delivered fully assembled and we recommend they be positioned with easy vehicular access for your clients’ convenience. Once unloaded and connected to mains electricity (and water and drainage in the case of the Running Water Wigwam®) they are ready for occupation.

For planning purposes our Wigwams® are classed as static or wooden caravans. For a commercial development, generally, you will need to apply for a caravan site licence but your local planning department will be able to advise you on this.

At Wigwam® Cabins we can help you prepare your application by supplying drawings and schematics as well as full material speci�cations; and thanks to our network of cabin owners inside the Wigwam® Holiday community, we can o�er a wealth of guidance and useful advice to our customers.

Many people who have started a commercial venture as an o�cial Wigwam® Holidays site, licensed through us, have received help in setting up costs from local business grants available in their area. Wigwam® Holidays o�ers a full buisness plan service to help you realise your vision.
