The decision to adopt, though not made lightly, was an easy one. We requested information from many different agencies, but after attending a WHFC info session and talking to a coworker who had used the agency years before, the decision to choose Wide Horizons was easy-it just felt right….

• To be able to be aware of what is going on with the project

• To be able to explicate well of what the kids are going through

• to be able to propagate the adoptions in the community so the kids will have a family and will not worry about where they are going to sleep.

• This foundation helps everyone to learn about what is out there and the things that are needed to help out the world.

• To be an active participant in shaping ones world; and that is by adoption or by shaping a child’s world.

• To become a responsible and committed learner; and that will be that you put your mind and thought to one of the children that you want to help out and not to give up on them because they are counting on you.

• To learn where the children are coming from and what there struggles in order to survive.

Page 15: Wide horizon for children project

• This foundation shows that people are able to engage actively when they become a part of this foundation.

• A lot of the people that are part of this organization are able to understand the assumptions that are required for each child.

• To be able to have the information needed if there is any question that is asked about this program.

• To be Metacognitive of what is around and the things you see that a child goes thru.

• To be able to think with a purpose and know why you are doing the things that you are doing.

I like to be around kids. I like to help out kids. I am a children's person. I could be connected to this organization because I love kids. It saddens me every time I see a child in the television and for them not having anything to eat and also them wanting to get adopted by a person. If it was to me I would adopt them all but I know it will be hard to get custody of all kids in need. There are little kids that are all alone and they lost their parents and they do not have anybody to take care of them and that is so sad because there is nobody to watch over them. I want to be the person that will help them out in mostly everything they might need. One thing that I think I can change is to give them something to eat because every time I see the television commercial the kids are always trying to find food in the trash can and they sometimes eat something that is rotten. And I think they should have food to eat. That is one thing that I will try to contribute as my part. Also given them the education they need. Because everyone needs to have an education. Without an education it will be hard for someone to become something in this world. I would like to aggrandize this organization and any others that are just like this organization. That is why I think I make a great connection with this organization.
