Case Study: ElektroVojvodina Novi Sad

Customer: ElektroVojvodina

Project: replacing and upgrading existing energetic, communication and control equipment and systems in new ADMS system that allows OMS,

running of dispatch operations, load management, smart metering, including solar and wind power plants, charger stations for electric car etc.

To set the base stations is enabled to use the Antenna’s tower on Venac, (around 511m height hill plus tower 60m), Administration Building of

Elektrovojvodina (about 60 meters) and 5 available 110 kV power stations (tower height is about 18 meters)

» Coverage area is approximately 50 km x 20 km

Case Study: ElektroVojvodina Novi Sad

Customer: ElektroVojvodina

Challenges: All 45 MV EEO can be divided into three groups (bricked power stations height of 3 meters, power stations on tower at a height of 10

meters and a power station built into the building).

Usually all power stations in the city are surrounded by trees and taller buildings.

Slovakian Operator Chooses JET over WiMAX - 1

Customer: Benestra, leading service provider in Slovakia

Need: Benestra sought to replace its congested 3.5 GHz WiMAX network which did not deliver high-capacity required for enterprise customers

Solution: RADWIN 5000 JET PtMP in 3.7 GHz band

Equipment purchased to-date (9/2015): • 200 JET base stations installed in 140 locations

Project highlights: • 1400 enterprise customers migrated from 3.5 GHz WiMAX network to JET • Entire network up & running in 2.5 months • 10 Mbps throughput with ability to upgrade • Best spectrum efficiency Piotr Sieluk, CEO, Benestra: “JET solutions are rock-stable and future-proof!” –

Materials: PR + Case study + Video (Sep. 2015)

JET Deployed in Multi-Million $ Project in Mexico

Why RADWIN: • Best addressed high capacity service with symmetrical traffic • Operation in dense unlicensed bands in urban areas • Beamforming capability - interference mitigation & higher throughput performance • Operation in urban zones where there are many obstructions to LOS • Carrier grade ruggedized units – IP 67

Radio interference

Page 22: Why RADWIN

VIPNET Replaces Airspan WiMAX network with JET - 2

Why RADWIN: • JET can operate in very humid climate, heavy rains and storms (where competitor systems failed) • JET’s ability to operate in NLOS using OFDM and MIMO technology – operate in city environments where

there are many buildings • Provide dedicated throughput with guaranteed SLAs to demanding customers (due to sector robustness &

frequency re-use) Ahmed Cherif, CEO, VIPNET: “RADWIN 5000 JET is a revolutionary solution. Since deploying JET we’ve seen major improvement in coverage and throughput over our previous WiMAX network.”
