Why Ge� ing Involved is so ImportantActivity participation is essential for quality of life. Activities are not just fun, they reduce depression and reduces cognitive decline. Getting involved is also a great way to feel connected to your peers and meet your new neighbors. Too much on the calendar, what are you interested in? We have exercise programs, religious services, daily gardening, crafts, cards, trivia, music, fi eld trips, resident council, nightly movies and more. Don’t see what you are interested in? Let us know! Stop by the Viva Solarium and see Ashley, our Lifestyle Director, to let her know what you would like to see added on the calendar. Don’t forget we have special events in November for Thanksgiving and Veteran’s Day. We want you engaged and that’s why here at Sonata West, we make Activity programming a top priority.

Welcome to our family!We are so happy you are here and that we are able to fi nally share our beautiful community with each of you. I know that some of you have been counting down the days, but for other’s this transition may be more diffi cult than expected. The entire Sonata West staff is here to support you in any way to make your move as smooth as possible. Our utmost goal is for after you have settled, you feel that Sonata West is your home as we do.

This monthly newsletter will include all the scheduled activities as well as any events coming your way. Daily updates are made to our community televisions with the daily activities. Take a moment to grab a highlighter, read through and identify the ones that peak your interest. Most importantly, as the time for your favorite activities approach, JOIN US!
